I visited the American Express Centurion Lounge in Terminal D. You take an elevator to the second floor to reach the entrance, and the check-in area felt welcoming. The staff at the desk were friendly and got me checked in quickly.
Inside, the lounge is long and somewhat narrow. I noticed a conference room and a set of showers. I didn’t need to wait for a shower when I arrived, but I was told to schedule it when checking in. There’s also a large bar; I didn’t order anything, but the bartender seemed to be working efficiently.
I was there during breakfast and the food was solid, with pastries, eggs, meats, and fresh fruit. I also saw several coffee machines that could make different drinks. The lounge is pretty spread out, which I liked, though I can see how some people might not enjoy walking from one area to another.
Overall, this visit was comfortable and the space met what I needed during my layover.
I need to add that that parents need to do a better job of controlling their children in the lounge. This is not a child’s playground. The amount of yelling, screaming, and crying from the little kids is not what one envisions when coming into the lounge to relax.
