"Franz Kafka's spirit can be felt throughout this appealing business hotel, which was formerly the Workmen’s Accident Insurance Institute HQ – Kafka's place of work from 1908 to 1922. Contemporary bedrooms have compact, shower-only bathrooms. Dine in the courtyard, from an international menu." - Tablet Hotels

helpful throughout our stay. Our standard room included a small bar and coffee corner, was sufficiently spacious, air-conditioned, and very clean. Since the windows could not be opened, the air conditioning was essential and worked well. Breakfast was varied and included a vegan section with nuts, olives, crackers, sun-dried tomatoes, and vegan cheeses. The hotel has two elevators and excellent accessibility for wheelchair users. The location is outstanding for exploring the Jewish Quarter and Prague’s Old Town, with most major attractions within a 15-minute walk. Palladium Mall is just 100 meters away, and public transport (buses, trams, metro) is right nearby. Overall, a great choice for anyone looking for comfort, cleanliness, and convenience in the heart of Prague.

A stay at the Hotel Century Old Town is not merely a booking; it is an encounter with history, a sojourn into the spectral heart of Prague itself. To walk these corridors is to feel the phantom presence of Franz Kafka, who once toiled within these very walls for fourteen years when it was the Workers Accident Institute for the Kingdom of Bohemia. The building breathes with a dark elegance, and you can almost hear the ghostly echoes of his footsteps, a quiet murmur of bureaucratic dread and incandescent genius that has seeped into the foundation. Our stay was nothing short of magical. While the famed Kafka Suite had been claimed by another fortunate soul—booked far in advance, a testament to its allure—our room was still a sanctuary of comfort and quiet sophistication. The energy of the place is palpable; it feels as though you are sleeping inside a story, suspended between the Prague of the past and the comforts of the present. Every detail feels curated to honor its profound legacy without sacrificing modern luxury. One of the highlights was our evening at the hotel's Kafka Restaurant. The atmosphere was intimate and suffused with a timeless charm, perfect for a night of quiet contemplation. We must extend our deepest compliments to Anna, whose service was simply impeccable. She moved with grace, ensuring our dinner and drinks were flawless, her attentiveness making the wonderful meal an even more memorable experience. This hotel is a must for any pilgrim on the trail of Kafka, or for anyone who appreciates the beautiful melancholy of Prague. It is a place where history haunts you in the most enchanting way. We are already dreaming of our return and will be booking well ahead of time, with hopes of finally stepping into the Kafka Suite to fully immerse ourselves in the spirit of the man who once transformed this space with his presence. A truly special, unforgettable stay.

Century Old Town Prague is a true gem in the heart of the city. The building itself carries so much charm, blending historic architecture with modern comfort. The location is perfect—just steps away from Prague’s Old Town highlights, restaurants, and shops, yet it remains quiet enough to enjoy a peaceful stay. The room was spacious, very clean, and well maintained, with daily housekeeping that kept everything spotless. The staff were always warm, welcoming, and helpful, creating a friendly atmosphere from check-in to check-out. The hotel’s attention to detail made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, elegance, and an authentic Prague experience

I arrived very late and Martina welcomed me with such kindness that it instantly made me feel at ease. The hotel itself is full of character, very well located, and my room was quiet and comfortable. I was so happy with my stay that I recommended it to a friend a few days later, and when I came back I had the chance to meet Martina again. I work in the industry, and would love to have her as a colleague !

What a perfectly located hotel right in the centre of Prague, with easy walking everywhere and a fabulous public transport syestem of trams, trains and buses just out the door,||Not only is this lovely hotel perfectly located for enjoying this beautiful city in Europe, the staff and amenities are perfect also. From the moment we arrived and welcomed so warmly by Lucy at reception, we knew we were on for a wonderful stay.||Lucy provided all the information we would need to make our stay as comfortable as possible and efficiently checked us in, providing us with an excellent room on the first floor.||Our room was large and comfortable, with plenty of storage space and an excellent bed. We slept soundly each night. The bathroom was everything you could hope for in a hotel, with a wonderful shower and amenities provided.||We enjoyed breakfast over the weekend of our five nights at the hotel and appreciated the ambience of the dining room and extensive food options available. The staff here too were helpful.||We only have thanks and appreciation to all at the hotel who made our stay so enjoyable. We are most grateful to the wonderful housekeeping team who kept our room so spotless and clean during our stay.||We would return to this lovely hotel without hesitation and look forward to doing so in the not too distant future.

I stayed in Prague with my family for two weeks a while back. For the full two weeks our stay was top notch. First of all, communication was friendly, simple, clear and fast. We noticed that the staff worked well as a team which made customer service flawless. They are committed and visibly aim to provide the best possible service in which they do not overdo it. For example, they are present when you have a question and at the same time are not in your face 24/7. This resulted in a relaxing stay. We knew exactly what to expect. Check-in didn't take long and before we knew it we were in our hotel room. Which brings me to the next point. The room was beautiful. We enjoyed two wonderfully soft beds. Although the room was not very wide, it gave a spacious feeling because the ceiling was very high. In addition, they use calm and luxurious colors for the wallpaper, carpet and curtains. The bathroom had two different lights so you could go with sheet light and dimmed light. The shower was neat and clean and you could use two different shower heads with somewhat stronger and lesser water pressure. Note that there is not a lot of storage space for clothes, which isn't really a problem if you are only staying for about 1 to 7 days (we were there for a remarkably long time). Breakfast has a wide range of choices. I will name the, for me, most notable ones. Every morning you can order a freshly baked omelet or simple fried egg. In terms of bread, you have the basics: croissants and white or brown slices, as well as real quality bakery bread. There was a wide selection of cereal/granola and what I noticed was that you could also have chia seeds (I don't come across this often in hotels). There are options for vegans, vegetarians and even allergies are taken into account, but if there are questions about allergies I recommend contacting the hotel. Also during breakfast, there are constantly staff members around to clean up dirty dishes or answer questions, without really “bothering” you. Oh and, quick in between: they have umbrellas in case it rains! Finally, I have no major points to mention that were a little less. I really enjoyed the stay and am grateful for the experience. Staying at Mgallery in the Old Town Prague I definitely recommend!

High notes for this charming hotel located into a historic building in the heart of Prague’s Old Town. Elegant and classic decorations, with attention to every detail. The service is efficient and delivered by a team of professional young staff across the front desk, reception, and bar areas. Rooms are reasonably spaced, clean and welcoming.|I stayed with my wife for 5 days and we enjoyed every moment. The only neutral note was the restaurant: breakfast was plentiful and catered to all tastes, but dinner was unfortunately unavailable. We tried a couple of times, only to be informed it was reserved for group bookings despite all tables being dressed and empty...... A bit of a letdown in an otherwise exceptional stay.

I had a wonderful stay at the Century Old Town Prague MGallery Hotel Collection. The staff were warm and welcoming. Kate at reception was especially friendly and gave us some great recommendations for places to eat and explore, which really made our trip even better. Big thank you to her for enhancing our experience. The hotel itself is beautiful, in a perfect location, and the service throughout was excellent. I’d happily stay here again.
