How to Plan a Trip to Palermo, Italy

"A small ceramics atelier where Elisabetta Castagnetta creates hand-painted dishes, serving platters, pinecones (a good luck symbol), and Moor’s heads inspired by traditional Sicilian motifs and colors but rendered with a modern twist — ideal for picking up a unique handmade ceramic piece to bring home." - Laura Itzkowitz Laura Itzkowitz Laura Itzkowitz is a writer and editor based in Rome. I was captivated by the exquisite Sicilian ceramics, truly one-of-a-kind and unlike anything I’ve seen in Palermo. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, especially the way they carefully wrapped the ceramics.

Extremely cool store with beautifully handcrafted ceramics. The designs are traditional, but many have a unique and modern twist, which i loved. Also, the staff in the shop was so friendly and helpful! Thank you, Martina! 😊

A walk through CERAMICANDO is so refreshing with its quality and artistic variation from the "same old, same old" we saw all over Sicily. Shopkeeper was helpful and did a great job wrapping up our purchases in bubble-pak for the trip back home. We are very pleased having this art on display in our home. Highly recommended.

Fantastic shop! Everything is handmade and the staff is friendly. It's a shame I came by plane, otherwise I would have definitely bought larger items!

Best and most unique selection of Teste di Moro (Moor head vases) and other beautiful ceramics. I placed a custom order for two Moor head vases and they were ready the same day. The shop keeper Martina is wonderful; very helpful and friendly. Great shopping experience.

Too tempting. Proceed with caution as you will want to buy more than you planned to.
