My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Cerca do Sul. We stayed for 9 nights and felt so rested, even by day one. The hotel truly is very tranquil. Its location, low lighting in the evenings and hammocks help create this ambience nicely. The hotel is cleaned to a very high standard, daily and the towels and linen were washed for us after four days. Beach/pool towels were available in addition to our bath towels, which was a pleasant surprise as we'd packed some with us. The staff - Sandra, Maria, Anna and Katia are all incredibly friendly, approachable and go above and beyond to meet any needs you may have. ||||Our vegan diet isn't always an easy one to meet on holiday, and there's often only one or two choices on a menu. At Cerca do Sul, the breakfast spread catered for our requirements like 'second to none'. Not only were there multiple options for us to choose from, but they would change each day to give us variety. We thought that this was a very special touch and made us feel very welcome. Further to this, the evening meals were the best we had in Portugal. The 'vegan' diet has almost become a universal cuisine of its own, but the staff's cooking meant that we didn't miss out on having a taste of Portugal, it was also excellent value for money. There are kitchen facilities, should you want to cook for yourselves - these were minimal, but we got by fine. ||||The local area is beautiful and Sandra, very kindly, directed us to some untouched coves, only really known by the locals. They were just off of the Fisherman's Trail, so it meant that we could trek to the bays (you will need suitable footwear for this). The sea was particularly cold, anywhere we went but it didn't stop us from (half) going in to cool ourselves down! ||||Thank you to all the lovely staff for a wonderful experience. We will be recommending you to everyone we know heading to Portugal.
