Cerro Alegre GuestHouse

Very good experience at this guesthouse. Really nice furnished (recently redecorated?) and clean rooms. The receptionists are extremely kind and helpful, they helped us planning our vineyard tour really well. The breakfast was also very good and complete. We had the room with shared bathroom, only with one other room, which was completely fine. 24/7 reception.

This guest house has been constructed from several houses and retains much of its charming character. The ceilings are high, the wooden floors delightfully creaky and the ambiance comfortable. The en suite bathroom was tiny but adequate and although right on the street we were in a room at the back and it was very quiet. The house was clean and the bed comfortable. They arranged for a driver to pick us up at the Santiago airport and he gave us a nice tour along the coast to Valparaiso. Breakfast was basic but sufficient.

We stayed in Cerro Alegre Guest House with my sister in a lovely room with en-suite bathroom and balcony at the top floor. Everything was super clean, it even smelled clean. Helpful staff and the location is excellent, close to main sightseeings, bars and restaurants. Tastefully decorated, loved the colorful tiles, the wooden floors and beams. Modern bathroom and excellent shower. Very good wi-fi connection. We also had lunch in the hostel restaurant, delicious and homey feel dishes, especially the pumpkin soup. Both hostel and restaurant excellent value for money.

The space must have been recently renovated, because both the exterior and interior look nicer than previously posted photos. We took a queen bedroom with shared bathroom. It was very clean with stylish design. The only slight annoyance is that the window isn’t thick, so you can hear street traffic during the day if you are resting. But otherwise pretty quiet at night. The staff is very helpful. Breakfast was basic but plentiful. We decided to add an extra night because it was such a pleasant space and we weren’t ready to pack our bags yet!

When I arrived at Cerro Allegre I was immediately welcomed warmly! The staff is really nice and open and you could ask them anything and they would help immediately. The rooms are simply amazing. Nice and clean with a beautiful bathroom (including rainshower). The breakfast was really good as well an I was being served by the nicest people. Cerro Allegre is situated inbetween the beautiful colorful and artsy streets of Valparaíso. You will fall in love! Thanks for making my stay in valparaiso amazing!||Until next time!

The owners are very attentive and you can tell they genuinely want you to have a great stay. The hotel itself is beautiful and in a great location. Breakfast was excellent, the shower was hot and had excellent water pressure, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We loved our stay here!

My wife and I stayed here for three nights at the end of November and we absolutely loved it. We had a beautiful spacious room with private bath on the second floor overlooking the street. The B&B is in a historic house that has been beautifully renovated. It is perfectly located in the delightful Cerro Alegre neighborhood right in the middle of endless charming cafes, shops and scenic streets for strolling. Breakfast was excellent, and Felipe the owner, who is at the desk during the day, is very friendly, helpful, and was fun to converse with in English or Spanish about Valpo, Chile and current events. If needed, he will arrange for a car to bring you to and from the Santiago airport for a reasonable charge, which we did, and thought was very worthwhile. Highest recommendation for this inn.

We had a lovely couple of days in Cerro Alegre, making it an ideal base to explore the city. Carla at reception went above and beyond, helped us loads with bookings and great local knowledge. Breakfast was tasty and the rooms light, clean & spacious and the beds super comfortable. Would certainly stay here again!
