This hotel is absolutely first class. Starting with the warm welcome from the staff, who conducted check in formalities whilst we sat in the stunning gardens enjoying a drink. The property is drenched in history whilst having all mod cons - the twin world’s of a Tuscan monastery now lovingly restored into a beautifully designed hotel combine seamlessly to immerse you completely. The kitchen produces absolutely knock out dishes, the passion for the best Tuscany has to offer evident in every option; with fantastic cocktails and wine pairings aplenty. The heart of Siena is but an 8 minute drive away and the hotel offers a shuttle service. Explore the palaces, cathedral, ancient sites and restaurants at your own pace before being collected and returned to the hotel where you will find a truly tranquil escape from the city. But it is the staff who deserve the highest praise. Their love of the hotel, its place in the world and how it is part of the local community shine through in every interaction. They are warm, knowledgeable, helpful and care deeply that guests have a truly memorable stay here. If this hotel is the local crown, the staff are the diamonds within it. You must stay here; it’s the best hotel in or near Siena by a country mile.

Magical. Amazing building. Lovely rooms. Great staff. A perfect couple of days to start our Tuscany vacation. The breakfast was really special with the scent of the fireplace and a wonderful range of options. Shout out to the bartender Riccardo. He treated us so well. The hotel is set in the hills outside Siena and is a really nice walk in to town.

The overall experience was amazing. Everyone here was very, very nice and helpful. They always consider everything for you. The food at the restaurant was amazing. The wine pairing was extraordinary. The amenity is great and the facility here just classic. I used the pool, the tennis court and the resting area. They prepared the water for my tennis coaching session.The hotel and the service was so extraordinary that the day here was the best memories in my whole travel in Italy. Hope that I would have the chance to come back again!

The best hotel during our Tuscan vacation. The location is perfect near Sienna yet secluded. They recommend the perfect parking spot to get to city center. The architecture of the place in itself is a dream. Do ask to see the chapel. The staff is the kindest and most helpful. We only had lunch at their restaurant's terrasse and it was one of the freshest and best dishes we had in our trip. The terrasse and library at night feels amazing for the last drink.

We love this hotel!! This was our second visit here in 2 years and it will not be our last. The location outside the city walls is perfect -- you can get to the city easily for a tour, shopping, or dinner, but you also are in the country with incredible views. The staff is wonderful -- Michelle couldn't be more helpful and the bartender, Ricardo, is FANTASTIC! The staff is all very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is charming with a vintage feel but all the modern amenities you could want. The pool is such a lovely place to relax. Getting a peek at the chapel on Sunday was a treat. We will be back as soon as we can.

We had a 5-star experience at Certosa! The hospitality is absolutely top-notch—I can’t say it enough. Michelle and her staff were so welcoming, kind, and thoughtful. During our stay, one member of our group had a medical emergency while we were exploring the city and ended up in the hospital. We reached out to Michelle immediately, and when we returned to the resort to grab a few things to take to our friend, she had prepared a bag filled with food, water, juice, and blankets, ready and waiting for us. Her kindness and compassion meant so much in such a stressful moment. The property itself is stunning—perfect for relaxing and soaking in the incredible Tuscan views. Michelle and her team made our stay unforgettable.

I couldn’t have wished for a more perfect stay! Michelle and her team are the absolute best. They made our time in Siena so special. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating and went to extra lengths creating a lovely experience for us (especially my young daughter). The hotel and the grounds are stunning! Pictures don’t do it justice. Everywhere you look could easily be a photo on a postcard. We will definitely be coming back the next time we’re in Italy. Thank you again for helping us create such wonderful family memories!

Amazing hotel and historic building (built in 13th century). It used to be a monastery and was converted into a hotel. It still has an old church that is operating and you can visit. The whole feel is like you’ve been transported to a 1850’s five star hotel. Service is second to none. Highly recommended.

Exceptional menu and wine list. Their bar made us perfect before dinner cocktails. We had 4 courses overall and each was unique and beautifully plated. We couldn't help but to look at other patron's dishes as they were being served. The atmosphere was lovely and just right for our little celebration. Cheers!

Yes, yes, yes. I do not do reviews on Yelp, only exceptionally I do. You do not want to miss this hidden gem in the Tuscan countryside side. I have been coming here for over 20 years. Today, I brought my friends here for a delightful lunch ! :)
