If you want an authentic local barrio experience full of life, olives, and drinks, this place is a must-visit! We enjoyed 2 glasses of red wine and 2 snacks, both served with chips and olives. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the lively atmosphere makes it a fun spot to soak in the neighborhood vibe. While it could be cleaner, the overall experience is highly enjoyable—I definitely recommend it!

A nice selection, and friendly staff. The space is wonderful, and food is nice. Good Wifi is available. I did receive tuna empanada rather than beef, and the soup was mostly broth. The flavor was good though, and the free olives were delicious (a huge compliment, as a olive hater).

Sangria was great. The food was good but it didn’t meet our expectations. The olives we got were a bit soggy and had kind of a stale taste to me, my friend didn’t mind them though. I ordered andalusian squid, it was tasty but I was disappointed there is no side dish or/and a sauce. The waitress was really nice but her english wasn’t the best, if that wasn’t the case maybe she could’ve given me a better description of the dish. It is quite possible if I had ordered something else my review would have been higher. So ask more about the menu. Overall it was not a bad experience, but we weren’t wowed either. The place has such an authentic vibe and looks great.

My wife and I arrived at our hotel in Madrid around 8:30, unpacked, and then went looking for dinner. We found this beer and tapas bar that looked to be full of locals just a couple blocks away. We were warmly greeted and asked to sit at the bar instead of the dining room because it was more cozy. We ended up getting the best bartenders/waiters who were originally from Ecuador and Uruguay. The food was excellent. I especially enjoyed my Catalonian soup and bowl of mussels. My wife couldn't believe the vegetarian lasagna was as good as it was. Definitely not an overpriced place, and provides a nice homey feel.

Barman couldn’t be bothered with my poor Spanish- wouldn’t even acknowledge me. Made his colleague come over and translate from poor Spanish to fluent Spanish. And I was pointing at the menu. Seemed very put off that we were there. Prices were high. It’s like a tourist trap that doesn’t like tourists. Bad attitude killed what seemed like a cool atmosphere. Beer was 50% foam. They are plenty of other options around.

Happy to pop in on a trip to Madrid. Treated well. Excellent sangria, olives, and salad.

Came here by chance as the staff at the recommended cafe down the road, were rude and unwelcoming. We ate our way through it at El Diario, with Caesar salad (too cheesy) eggs & ham on chips, salmon, burrito and potatoes. Filled the gap, nice service, delicious olives.

Sangria was good but their menu should be clear for the ox tail stew that comes with fries which was not stated in it, soggy fries and I dont even like fries along with stew. The service was really unattentive, I was alone and they sat me at a corner with many seats empty nobody could see or even come to ask when I am done with food n drink, I had to get to other people outside on a table to call the server to come over, they just grabbed the bill when I didnt ask for bill but wanted to get another drink.
