We meet with a couple of friends we haven’t seen in a while and we had an awesome time. All the food was delicious, we had the pleasure to count on waiter Nasser attending our table and he provided us the best suggestions: Tortilla española, Berenjenas con miel and Torreznos, all of the dishes were amazing!

My boquerones fritos were not fresh and they cost nearly 16 euro. The service is suboptimal too. Good location

Very busy restaurant on the Plaza Santa Barbara, Madrid. Being a single diner, they managed to squeeze me in. The set daily special is €14.50 for two courses, excellent value. Highly recommended.

We sat inside having read all the recent bad reviews of the slow service sitting on the terrace. (We can understand why as there is insufficient waiting staff and for much of the time we were here only one person behind the bar preparing the drinks that had been ordered.) inside the service was better but you still had to gesticulate wildly to be served. The b/w interior is unusual for Madrid and makes for a change. The tapas was an acceptable standard. The anchovies were very good, the bread dry. Overall not special enough to make a return visit.

We really like this spot for an afternoon sit in the sun, BUT they need to create a waiting sign. There is always confusion with people coming along trying to get a table before people who have been waiting. It’s not clear where to wait, but it would be so simple to solve. Also, they need at have one more person outside serving. There’s always several tables with empty glasses and people looking around to order more- they would make so much more money!

It is a place where you can have large gatherings. The tapas were great but quite pricey and because the place was crowded you have to wait a bit before they take your order.

Fracaso total y absoluto. Arrived straight after the Half Marathon. It was still early and the terrace wasn’t full but me and my son were made to feel unwelcome from the second we sat down. I let the waiter know that my running club would be arriving shortly and that we planned on spending a few hours on the terrace. As my friends arrived, the waiters proceeded to bark what we could and couldn’t do. Horrific experience. Tables around us occupied by similarly disgruntled customers started to empty out. I have sympathy for waiting staff when they get slammed as it’s not their fault. What I won’t accept is being treated like a rag. I got out of there after a coffee. Needless to say I won’t be back.

Horrible food. Low quality. The waiter have bad manners with customers. It’s also very expensive. We paid 40 euros for 3 bottles of water,6 croquetas and 1 tortilla. Avoid this place

Terrible. Dirty glasses. Horrible service. Just don't come here. Basically the WORST place we have been to since we moved here.

Inattentive, rude staff, slow/no service. The bill was incorrect (charged for 3 glasses of wine when we only had 1) and when we tried to straighten it out the server's response was "that is not my problem, it is your problem!" There are too many good/great places to go...do not waste your time here.

Nice location but very grumpy staff. Jamon iberico is sliced too thin and no bread but you're eating here for the outside location

Nice easy neighborhood place. I frequently stay in this neighborhood (Chamberí) and I like to try out different places. This is a busy, popular place with a large outside terraza, but also a pretty large interior space. It was cold and windy outside so we went inside and had a nice evening. I don't like beer very much, so I had wine, but I understand that the beer is good. We had a couple of media-raciones (half servings) of nibbles. The chopitos - tiny fried squid - are excellent. Nice place, good service, and i'd recommend it more than some of the others on that strip.
