"Why we love it: A converted farmhouse in the Xlendi Valley offering traditional charm and sweeping views The Highlights: - Superior rooms with private balconies and outdoor Jacuzzis - Original details like stone walls and Maltese tiles in the suites - A rooftop pool with panoramic views of the valley The Review: Nestled in the Xlendi Valley on the island of Gozo, Cesca Boutique Hotel was once surrounded by a working farm. While the original owners were focused on growing cotton, their great-grandsons, who now own and operate the property, turned the 350-year-old farmhouse into a luxurious boutique hotel, complete with 15 guestrooms done up in lace-print wallpaper and elegant furnishings. All rooms feature marble bathrooms with walk-in rain showers and balconies with epic valley views, while superior options also boast outdoor Jacuzzis. Three additional suites even include original stone walls, columns, and Maltese tiles, plus extras like a separate seating area, free-standing bathtub, and decorative fireplace. Elsewhere in the hotel, guests will find a rooftop pool with scenic vistas and an indoor-outdoor restaurant and bar, which serves a large breakfast spread each morning, lunch a few days a week, and dinner nightly. Should you wish to get out and explore, Cesca is within walking distance of the towns of Victoria and Xlendi, making for easy sightseeing."

Overall, we were happy with our stay at Hotel Cesca in Gozo, and the price-quality ratio was good. The receptionist, Grace, was an absolute sweetheart and made our stay very pleasant.
As for areas of improvement, the hairdryer in the room was quite old and barely worked, which was a bit inconvenient. Additionally, the hotel is located on a road with quite a bit of traffic, so it can be a little noisy at times.
Despite these minor issues, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the friendly service and overall

This is a wonderfully run boutique hotel. Ideal for couples looking to get away from it all but close enough to Xlendi harbour with its restaurants and bars to make an evening out. |Special mention to Mara , her brother and Moma ( the cook) who did everything to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was good with a continental style buffet or a cooked to order option with freshly ground coffee. During the day drinks were available from the bar by Mara and her brother. Front of house was Grace, Carmelino and Alison who were most helpful and nothing was too much trouble.|The downside was that there was no restaurant for lunch or dinner and the bar was not available at night. As we were out most evenings it didn’t really matter to us . Lunch if you wanted it was available from a raft of BOLT outlets that would deliver. You need to download the BOLT App for taxis and food. Rooms were large and kept clean. |We understand that the hotel has changed hands and they will be looking to provide a restaurant service and bar. |In all we had a wonderful stay and would go back. The level of service was intimate and superb|Thank you for making the stay a pleasure |David and Un

We had a really lovely stay at this hotel. It’s very modern, spotlessly clean, and most of the staff were absolutely wonderful (with just one exception that isn’t worth mentioning). It’s the perfect place to relax, and I would definitely recommend it for a chill getaway.
A couple of small suggestions: it could be even better as an adults-only hotel, and it would be helpful to clearly state that not all rooms come with a shower but bathtubs. In our case, the bathroom design made it quite tricky, as showering turned the whole floor into a mini pool.
On the positive side, there was a mistake on a menu price, but the team handled it quickly and resolved it for us, which I really appreciated. Overall, we had an amazing stay and would happily return!

We stayed here as part of a wedding for two nights. We were met by the lovely Grace on the front desk. She was so helpful. I realised when I went to the room there wasn’t a kettle but only a coffee machine. I asked for a kettle and was given one immediately. She is a true asset to the hotel and to the guest experience.||We stayed in room 303 which was beautifully appointed. If I could improve it any way it would be to have a makeup mirror by the dressing table. I had to sit by the side of the table and use the long mirror which wasn’t ideal. But there was a makeup mirror in the bathroom but I prefer to sit to do mine. ||We had a huge free standing bath with a shower attachment in it. I personally would have preferred a free standing shower as I found it hard to get in and out of the bath.||The bed was so comfy.||There were slippers, a gorgeous robe, safe.||The views from our balcony was magnificent. ||The swimming pool was a tad cold but would be lovely on a hot day. ||Breakfast was magnificent, fresh and tasty. ||The wedding was beautiful and we loved the food. ||Did I tell you how fab the staff were? ||We had a fabulous couple of days and I would highly recommend ||We arrived by bus and it was only a couple of minutes walk from the bus stop.

Where do I begin with the beyond exceptional stay that I just had at Cesca. Absolutely time of my life in Gozo, which made my trip extra special. I spent 2 night here and it didn’t disappoint. Firstly Gozo is the superior island and Cesca impacted that stay. Firstly walking in and Cesca has a unique fragrance throughout the hotel that I just couldn’t get enough of. Grace whom greeted me upon arrival and made sure everything and anything was to my liking. What a wonderful woman and thank you for making my stay impeccable. From the bedroom, to the pool, to the ambience, location, everything. Every detail was 100/100. Could not fault it. Would only stay here on all visits to Gozo. Thank you. Helen

We had a 4 day stay at this small boutique hotel. The room was beautiful and looked out onto the countryside. It was spotless. My only criticism would be that the hairdryer was one of those attached to the wall and very slow, as a lady I would have preferred the table to have a mirror and plug. As others have said, a kettle in the room would have been most welcome. Having said that, it did not detract from our stay, the beautiful sun bed towels, tasty breakfasts, gorgeous roof top chairs and pool. Also the staff are very accommodating. The hotel is about a 10/12 min downhill walk to Xlendi, a small resort by the sea with a lovely selection of restaurants.

Beautiful restored building with an authentic charm and a great location near the trendy waterfront of Xlendi. Rooms are super clean and spacious. Bed was extremely comfortable and showers with real high pressure hot water. Pool area a great place to chill and gaze at the view of nearby cliffs. Breakfast buffet was simple but a la carte eggs very tasty and great coffee. The best part of my 3 night stay was the extremely helpful and accommodating front desk who helped me with all my requests. Will definitely stay here again on my next diving holiday!
