The ćevapi were perfectly grilled, juicy and full of flavor, served in warm, soft somun bread with onions on the side – simple but absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is lively and very authentic, exactly what you expect from a traditional Sarajevo ćevapi spot. Quick service even when it’s busy.

We tried this place 3 years ago, and we loved it, so this year we had dinner there every night we were in Sarajevo. It’s a simple restaurant that locals go to. It serves the best chevapis in town. The yogurt drinks are great too. We saw 3 branches, but we only tried one branch. The service is fast, and the workers are friendly.

Ćevabdžinica Željo is one of the best places to experience real Sarajevo food. Right in the city center, with a lively, authentic atmosphere that feels local and unpretentious. It’s busy for a reason. The ćevapi are simply excellent — juicy, full of flavor, and served with fresh somun and onions. Portions are very generous and very filling, perfect after a walk through the old town. Prices are fair and reasonable for the quality and location. Service is quick and efficient even during peak hours. No gimmicks, no tourist traps — just honest, traditional food done right. Highly recommended if you want a true taste of Sarajevo.

The best in Sarajevo! There’s no visit to the city without stopping here for the most delicious ćevapi ever. Always fresh, juicy, and full of that authentic Sarajevo flavor. A must-try every single time!

Quality of the ćevabi kebab is very low compared to two years ago. Not as tasty as in 2020. We used used to look forward to it every time we visited Bosnia. But after today's experience, we will not go again. The staff is mixed. Some are friendly and some are grouchy.

Pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. There’s always a crowd for a reason – the ćevapi are truly excellent, and the kajmak and lepinja are also a solid 10/10.

Very tasty ćevapi, complemented by the kaymak and homemade ayran (which had a thick, creamy texture). The service was very friendly and the lady who served us even offered to take a group photo. Everything was reasonably priced as well.

Foods were great, it is a really popular place and it can be said that it lives up to the hype. The service was really fast. I had just went to the bathroom and boom it was already there. Overall i would give it 4.3 stars.
