The experience was amazing . Views were spectacular. Food was five star .Services were also five star . Room was decorated very nicely. Beds were very comfortable. We loved every minute we stayed there. We visited Dilma tea factory and the guide explained detailed process how to manufacture tea and the various quality of tea. Overall I do recommend everyone to visit this property.

From the very start of our honeymoon trip to our bungalow at Ceylon Tea Trails to the last day, we had such a wonderful experience. The views of the lake were gorgeous, and it was great taking the boat to our bungalow and back with the help of the very friendly staff. ||At the bungalow, our attentive butler Ajith and the other staff in the residence attended to us immediately and explained how everything works. They took really good care of us, and we appreciate all their efforts to answer all our questions. The days we spent here were so relaxing (and the gorgeous historic interior was another plus), and we were constantly wowed by the delicious food – we really appreciated Chef’s efforts to prepare local Sri Lankan dishes we missed. ||The food was delicious and we were never left wanting for more. ||We also enjoyed the tour of the tea factory, where we got to learn more about the tea making process, and even try a variety of teas. ||We had an unforgettable experience at Ceylon Tea Trails and we’re looking forward to our next trip there!

We stayed at Ceylon Tea Trails in the Tientsin Bungalow. Although the furthest away from the more central activities, it is the oldest of the bungalows and boasts a wonderful charm. It also had a decently sized pool, jacuzzi and spacious lawn areas. ||Room and Hotel: Beautiful rustic charm, extremely well-appointed rooms and bathroom. Has a lovely verandah for when it's warmer and indoors has a formal dining room, sitting room and pool table room. ||Service: The service here is outstanding. Everyone was warm, friendly, helpful and so kind. I cannot commend the managers Clement and Nilantha highly enough. On top of this, the bungalow offers a personalised service where the staff pretty much cater to you around the clock. We had Nesha, Lashen and Keseven who made sure our needs were well catered for, and who helped organise activities for us during our stay. ||Activities: It rained pretty much the whole time we were here, but it didn't stop us from enjoying a lovely hike around the tea fields. We also did a tea tour where Bernard our tour guide gave us a fantastic, informative, and very humourous journey through the history of tea in Sri Lanka. ||Food: Wow. The food was incredible with both Western and Sri Lankan options. The hotel offers 4 meals a day breakfast, lunch, high tea and dinner, all of which were fantastic. I highly recommend giving the Sri Lankan options a go - we much preferred this! The chef gave us a run down of the proposed menu at the prior meal so we got to preview the deliciousness to follow. The selection of drinks is also extensive with a great selection of cocktails, wines, beers and non alcoholic options.

I've traveled extensively and have to say, Ceylon Tea Trails is easily among my all time favorite places to stay. The setting, views, food, and service are all beyond exceptional. I've previously stayed twice at the Norwood Bungalow (which is fantastic), but this time opted to try the one at Dundalk. It likewise was nothing less than an amazing experience. While the entire staff was just a joy to interact with, a special thank you goes to Samantha and Sathsara who consistently went out of their way to anticipate my needs and offer friendly, flawless, and extremely efficient service. From the private garden, terrific food, comfortable room, pool, hot tub, and peaceful setting, there's so much that makes this place special. If you're looking for an intimate, luxury lodging experience in Sri Lanka's Hill Country, I can't say enough good things about Ceylon Tea Trails.

This bungalows is in another world !!! A lush garden in full bloom filled the surroundings with a heavenly, serene charm. The gardeners tended with loving care, leaving the garden neat and fair. We had our afternoon cream tea at the patio before strolling around the beautiful garden. The relatively big pool encircled by the green foliage is a real nice place to rest and relax . Blue mountains at a distance beautified the scenery from the pool side. The rooms are spacious and named after British and Scottish tea planters lived in Ceylon long before.. we stayed in one of the loveliest garden suites which was so spacious including all the necessary amenities. The management tried their best to keep the original structure to maintain its original colonial vibe. We ate our fill whilst dining in the patio area, enjoying the warmth of the heaters nearby. The dinner was scrumptious, super meals by the wonderful chef!! After dinner, I went to bed which was cushy and comfy with a hot water bottle tucked under the blanket. Following day , we did an informative tea factory tour with a tea tasting experience at the Dunkeld Tea Factory before setting off for Colombo. The staff at Tientsin Bungalow was outstanding and their service is commendable. Special thanks should go to Nilantha , Janidu and Tahanie. You guys took a good care of us !! Thank you..with heaps of love.

This is the first site on our list of ideal reservation locations and we lucky enough to be there with our New family member's first night away experience from home.to be honest he also very exiting with the beautiful calm nature here in Castlereagh and very much to gather to him. Everything exceeded expectations. The service was given must be highlighted that we can confirm that pure Sri Lankan hospitality was there. Thank you Manthika,Janaka,Chef and Aruna for the hospitality. It's feel like home away from home. With Lake breeze from Castlereagh There is nowhere better to sit if the mind needs to relax.

By far, the best hospitality experience we have had in our lives! From our room to the service to the food! Amazing!! ||Highly recommend to visit this place when passing by Nuwara Eliya and see the tea estates like never before! ||All things were also foreseen for the most intimate moments with my fiancee ♥️ (afternoon tea, champagne,…)

What an amazing two nights at Tea Trails! From the moment we arrived, we felt so relaxed. We took the seaplane from Colombo (~30 minute flight) and landed on the lake right in front of Castlereagh Bungalow, where we stayed. Our room was enormous, with a four poster bed and a large bathroom with luxurious clawfoot tub. There is no "menu" for meals -- the chef comes to speak with you to propose a menu for each meal, which you can adjust depending on your preferences. Food was delicious, we particularly loved the Sri Lankan hoppers for breakfast, and the afternoon high tea. In terms of activities, the tour of the tea factory was extremely interesting and informative, there are lots of beautiful walks / hikes, and we also enjoyed kayaking on the lake. Stunning views, ambiance and decor -- the whole experience felt like stepping out of time. Would highly recommend!
