This place was amazing! So beautiful, very minimal forest vibe. Plan accordingly as the staff doesn't really get to work until about noon or so. They were super friendly and helpful, the place was clean and secure, right on the water, free breakfast and wifi. We had trouble with hot water but we didn't mind much, highly suggest.

This was our first visit to Amphawa and the Floating Markets. We stayed at ChababaanCham Resort, which means (apparently) A Juicy Blooming Flower. It is a small resort, situated almost on the Floating Market boardwalk, which meant, for us, excellent personal service, friendly, homely staff and a small but comfortable VIP type room, which opened onto the breakfast buffet. ||The room was suitable for 2 people, we opted for 2 single beds. The room was air-conditioned, provided free (and fast) WIFI and a large bathroom/toilet area. ||The resort decor is (almost) retro with old, unpainted timbers used to effect. The small bar area at the front of the resort, provided reasonably priced drinks and was staffed by a young Thai who was a bundle of fun and made drinking there well worth the effort. ||Being on the boardwalk of the Floating Markets it was an easy walk to all the restaurants and shops. Having said that the room we were allocated (6) was quiet and provided a good nights sleep. ||For anyone wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, this resort with its friendly, accommodating staff, quiet environment but close to all the action is well worth a visit. Outstanding value for money!

Quaint little accommodation. Had an impression that it’s right in the middle of the main market but it’s actually 7-10 minute walk from drop off point near the market entrance. There’re a lot of food and shops in the main market but not so much near the hotel. The locals told us that many sellers have not returned as the rent is high and there’re less tourists since Covid. The room was adequate for one night. The Wi-Fi wasn’t great in the hotel area and took a long time before air-con got cool. Staff wasn’t overly helpful we asked for an extra toilet roll as only half a roll was left in the bathroom but it wasn’t delivered. Breakfast area was outside & hot, could use an extra fan especially in summer. Fruit and desserts were not replenished and left open for flies. When checking out they did not have cash to give us back our 1000 baht deposit and they asked if they could do bank transfer. I do not live in Thailand so I have to get them to send to my mum’s account which is a bit of a hassle. Asked if they could look for a taxi for us to get back to BKK but they just simply said they tried but it’s fully booked where as when we tried finding one ourselves we managed to get one within 5-10 mins. I will myself will not return but if they’ve taken some improvements suggested I’m sure it’ll be one of the best place to stay in Ampawa.

I stayed here for one night as part of an all inclusive tour of Bangkok and Amphawa. ChababaanCham provided a comfortable bed in a cozy room at the end of a long day of touring. The unique arrangement of boardwalks winding around corners and over wetlands is a exciting way to be reminded how intertwined we are with our local ecosystem. It just feels good to walk to your room in sync with nature. The rooms are simple, clean, and nicely appointed. My bed was quite comfortable, the A/C was powerful and a true blessing, the wi-fi worked like a champ, and the bathroom (with it's partially order feel) was immaculately clean. My only gripe is that I got very little hot water when showering in the morning. Not sure if this was a timing issue, or just the way it is.

I have been to Amphawa several times, but this is my first time with this small resort. Style and decoration of its resort reflected "eco" and "nature touch". I have stayed in "VIP" room type with which is only 4 units available. The room was very nice and the opened-air shower room was very big, unfortunately there is some noise may disturb you during the night if your neighbor next to your room open or close their room/bathroom wooden door, but it's not effect much to me unless the small lock of my room door was not much secure in my openient. The resort is hidden from the middle of most crowded part of Amphawa floating market which is very convenient to explore the market and go back to stay in the nice eco-peaceful resort. This is completely awesome!

Amphawa is off the beaten trail for most non-Thai tourists, although it shouldn't be. The floating markets and abundance of traditional home-stay options allows for every budget and makes this a very popular destination for Thais getting out of Bangkok for a couple of days. ||Built by the owner over the past three years, the 12 individual units are modern enough, while still authentically Thai. We give it 4 stars -- but do not expect a luxury resort. Private outdoor showers, modern private bathrooms, air conditioning, TV and wi-fi ensure you are comfortable and remain in the current century. For a nice step above home stay in this distinctly Thai destination, this boutique hotel is about as good as it gets in Amphawa, a short 90 minute drive from Bangkok.

The hotel is right by the river. The guest rooms are tucked away from the noise and hustle in a lovely garden behind the hotel cafe.|Comfortable bed and nice breakfast.|The toilet and shower are semi-open air, which is good for daylight and ventilation. The only downside is that, since it rained all night during our stay, we had to wipe the toilet seat every time we go to the toilet.

I'm here right now (August 8,2015). The cafe at Lobby is nice decoration. The lime soda 65 THB is quite nice refreshing. The ice mocha 65 THB also have a right taste. The sofa soft and comfortable. It's kinda place that I can sit for an hour enjoy a few drink watching people walk by, boat passing through.
