"A glass of wine at Águas Livres Aqueduct in Lisbon This stone building, called the Mother-of-Water Fountain, is an old cistern where Lisbon locals used to fetch the water that flowed to the city along the monumental Águas Livres Aqueduct. Now, inside the cool walls, a wine bar has been constructed. Journalist and wine critic João Paulo Martins has selected the 300 labels stocked in the wine cellar (some stored in bottles along the stone chutes that used to rush with water).Small plate selections like carpaccio, seafood, cheeses, and different kinds of cold cuts can be ordered to accompany your wine. During happy hour, between 6 and 8:30 p.m., several wines are available by the glass or in curated flights."
Went here with friends on our last evening in Lisbon and I would say definitely best meal we had. The dessert was simply to die for and the waiter was absolutely amazing, both in recommending wine (to taste) and of course general service. Top ten meals of my life

We had the most wonderful experience. Nuno brought us several bottles to taste before we chose. Most of the wines are served by the glass at the exact proportion of the bottle price. You can try different wines, paying no extra. The setting is amazing, an old aqueduct building. Can't recommend more enthusiastically.

Really interesting building, cool in the literal and physical sense but the food and wine is very over priced for what you get-each dish shown cost between €6-8 each and one glass of wine cost us €7.75 -always check the price first before asking the waiter for a recommendation! The place is more style over substance and there are better value for money places in the street nearby.

Excellent experience. We went after having had dinner so we only ordered port even though they have quite a wide selection of food as well. We very much enjoyed the explanation about different kinds of port. We tried four different kinds of port which were all very nice. Cannot recommend any more; it’s a great way to experience Portuguese culture! Do not be put off by the shadiness of the neighborhood (there is a lot of graffiti).

Love the mixed platter of cheese and prosciutto and salami from acorn-fed pigs. The two Douro reds wines suggested by the gentlemen there were stunning even though they are 18 years apart. The wines by the glass are slightly more expensive than other shops but one pays for the quality.

Yelp
A beautiful place at the end of one of the old aqueducts of Lisbon. The wine options are great, obviously, and the food is really, really good. Ask for the staff to help you pair food and wine, if you need to. (;

Yelp
Wine tasting accompanied by small plates of cheese, foie gras, and salads! You can't go wrong! Make sure you taste both red wine and white wine!

Yelp
Good place to taste wine, the place is an old water tank of the old city , you can order a lot of delicious tapas. But most of all discover a lot of great wine with the owner. If you are skilled enough maybe Manfred will make you taste some of his special and rare bottle ;)
