Παραδοσιακό Καφενείο Χαιχούτες (Haihoutes)

A unique spot for dinner and live music in the hills of Kos. An abandoned village has been transformed and includes a charming cafe. We were a party of eight and shared plates. Delicious food and great house wine. The two servers were running non-stop (a few forgotten dishes were forgiven because of how hard they were working). The live music and ambiance were well worth the drive up.

Haikoutes Restaurant in Kos is a hidden gem! Delicious, authentic Greek dishes, fresh ingredients, and warm, friendly service. The atmosphere is charming and welcoming , a perfect spot for a memorable meal on the island.

If I could give a higher score then I would 😁. An absolute gem of a place. In Kos Ghost Town, completely off the beaten track. It's surrounded by ruins. The food is fantastic and definitely worth the price. Everything is freshly made and the fresh orange juice was very appreciated. We would have loved to have been able to visit in the evening as the pictures we saw looked enchanting.

My visit to Παραδοσιακό Καφενείο Χαιχούτες on Kos was simply unforgettable! The atmosphere felt like a scene straight out of a Mamma Mia movie – absolutely magical. The live music was fantastic and added to the wonderful ambiance. The food was incredibly delicious, with every dish being a delight. It’s the perfect place to spend an evening with friends or family. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend. Very traditional sweet café/restaurant. Very lovely Village. Has a small menu but everything tastes delicious. Lovely place, something different.

Wanna waste time to wait for your food and not come? Come to this restaurant! Guys, I waited over 2 HOURS, for 2 plates to come. It was too much too much. Reading other reviews, and from my own experience, I can confirm that the service it literally the slowest in the island. Went to other restaurants, no problem; but 2 hours?

This has to be one of the best and unforgettable dining experiences of my life. STUNNING location. Set in the heart of an abandoned village, amongst the ruins and remains, a beautiful restaurant/cafe such a serene atmosphere. Amazing food and authentic Greek entertainment. I highly recommend.

Nice little café in an almost deserted mountain village. Depending on which side you are coming from, the journey via the narrow streets is exciting. In any case, there are beautiful views. Apart from the ruins, there is not much to see on site. A big coffee was 2.50 euros at the beginning of October 2022.
