Great simple and comfortable roooms and great value for money. The rooms were small, clean and simple but very comfortable and conveniently located. There was no parking on site but plenty nearby at reasonable rates even though parking during the semana Santa was a little bit difficult. Staff was friendly but they didn't speak English. Great value for money, especially during Holy Week in Spain. it's at 25-30 min from Cadiz by car

This is a Hostal, but the description of "small hotel" fits well. Comfortable, functional room and bathroom. Light and airy. €5 breakfast is great value. Staff friendly and helpful. A short walk to the main streets of the old town with many bars and restaurants, and to the dock for the Cadiz ferries. There's no parking by the hotel: you could be lucky in the street nearby (we were on arrival). Otherwise there's a secure underground park within 100m (€4.95 for 24 hours). Room rate of €30 great value. If we are in El Puerto again, we would almost certainly stay here.

Hostal is in the old part of the city, 5 min. walking distance from the cathedral and 10 min. from Castillo de San Marcos one of the Puerto Maria landmarks. You can find two streets with the few restaurants and shops nearby. This part of town is usually quiet at night without people on the streets, but you can find open restaurant at 11 p.m. as I mentioned before close to hotel. If you are arriving by car you can park free of charge in the street parallel to the river and then walk 5-10 min to the hotel or use garage (4 euro per day – receptionist will direct you).||Hostal, is simple, clean and decent enough to spend night or two there. They have two types of room; cheaper with older furniture (red bed covers at the hotel photo) and renovated ones 8white decor) which are few $ more expensive. First I made booking of a cheaper one, but it was little bit too shabby for my taste (yet clean), so I change it to a renovated one and had a nice stay. Room has a new furniture, wallpapers, cabinet, bathroom.. .Everything was clean and I felt comfortable there (room is not a big, but we had enough space to open two big suitcases). Few minor things were missing: soap holder in the bathroom, chair in the room (since table is there)...||Only minor negative point was yelling and singing of a drunken Spanish couple in 3 a.m. that woke us up. They were loud for one hour, so I think it would be expected from the receptionist to call the police to calm them down (every country has some law on drunk and disorder behaviour, so hotel staff should pay attention and react to provide quiet night hours for their customers).

We were forced to stay in El Puerto to visit the Jerez Fair due to the accommodation shortage. The town was a delight with some amazing cafe's specialising in local seafood (which there are plenty of) and cuisine. The hotel was serviceable and rather expensive due to the Fair but I could not fault the staff or the cleanliness. We did ask for a smoke free room but it smelt of cigarettes anyway!||Overall for the budget minded this is quite suitable but there will not be a next time for our family!

This is our spot to stay when we visit family and friends in Puerto. Maria del Mar, her husband and the entire staff are just outstanding people. Can not wait till they get all of their rooms renovated. No noise and the rooms always clean. Will not stay anywhere else. We did get a kick out of one couple that decided at 1:30 am to take care of business two days in a row,

Simple but good. Very clean rooms and good water pressure. It gets a bit cold due to no heat (only AC equipment). It is very well located.

I booked the room and turned up at the hotel/hostal (in Spain Hostal just means small hotel, not a hostel) and was immediately impressed by the friendliness and efficiency of the reception staff, all was already prepared and the room was immaculate.||||A nice touch is the small lounge on every floor of three sofas and a coffee table, it meant you could sit in comfort and read if you wished to.||||The hotel has 24 hour reception so you always hand your key in and collect when re entering. The 24 hour reception meant that there waws a feeling of security that I appreciated.
