Marianne and Lorenz were great hosts, they really care about your comfort. They give us tips about driving while it’s snowing.. and they offered us fresh milk from there farm.. they helped us to plan our activities and what to do in good or bad weather. Absolutely friendly and polite. If I visit again or any of my friends ask me definitively this my first and only choice..

Chalet Bärgblick is a cozy place in a wooden house, which is rented for travelers. The upper floors are occupied by a family of farmers, who will meet and warmly greet you in Grindelwald. The apartment is specifically recommended for the families with kids! First of all, children can see different animals like rabbits, cows, goats very close. Secondly, you can get as much fresh milk as you wish in the mornings or evenings.||We spent Easter holidays in Grindelwald and left very happy that we have chosen this place. The house is located on the hill, so be prepared to walk up, if you do not have a car, since the last bus from Grindelwald is at 18:45. From the other side, the chalet is a bit remote but you can see beautiful mountains on the background. They are specifically spectacular at sunset! The apartment is equipped with everything you may need. It has a bath, fireplace, comfy sofa, sitting place outside, board games, coffee machine, dishwasher, etc. You would get a visitor card on arrival that can be used to ride in the buses for free, which is very convenient!

Comfortable, cosy, spacious, well-equipped apartment for 2 in superb location for hiking, skiing and just generally enjoying the beautiful mountain scenery. Working-farm run by delightful, helpful couple Lorenz and Marianne. Quiet, peaceful position but within easy walking distance of shop, restaurant and town-centre of Grindelwald. Easy access to ski-slopes and train or gondola up to Männlichen/Kleine Scheidegg etc for skiing, walking, sight-seeing. Plenty to do and see in this beautiful area at any time of the year. Highly recommended.

Anything less than 5/5 is a crime for this place. Such a beautiful Chalet. Stole our hearts the moment we saw it. This is the image of Switzerland I have had since my childhood. Absolutely enjoyed the stay here. The place is located in a scenic and peaceful part about 2 kms from the center. Buses come right near the Chalet. But keep in mind buses run only till 7pm and run only once every hour or so. But can be reached within walking distance from Grindelwald Terminal station. A small 10-minute hike that's all. If you are interested in skiing, Grindelwald Grund station with trains to Kleiene Scheidegg is also reachable by walk. They have plenty of parking space in case you drive. In winter better to not follow the shorter route suggested by Google maps and instead follow the bus route. The chalet is very well equipped with everything you need. Happy about it. Best part was the fireplace. Made it a cozy environment for our winter stay. Otherwise, no shops etc around. You need to plan your shopping for Groceries, but that's hardly an inconvenience. Most of all, Marienne and her family are the highlight. Best hospitality I have come across in Europe. She was always in touch with us to see that we were comfortable. Be it providing fresh milk from their farm, or dropping us to the station a couple of times when we were in a hurry, cannot thank her and her family enough. Would definitely visit again.

Living in a cosy, yet a modernly equipped chalet, was the best experience to have in Switzerland! Marianne is the most gracious host we've ever met, always ready on her feet to help and guide us with whatever we need. A cute chalet to experience the Grindelwal-lifestyle and very close to all transportation nodes. 1-min walk to the bus stop, 3mins downhill walk to the station. We were very happy and will definitely stay there again!

Absolute perfect place to stay in Grindelwald. Marianne and her family will make your stay one to remeber. The apartment is well equipt with everything you need. It is a perfect place for your winter holiday! Already want to book out next visit!

What a beautiful place to stay! We came here a few years ago in winter, and were greeted by our hosts once we arrived. We were shown around our chalet (the ground floor of a beautiful farmhouse), then given a milk jug by the hostess who said to leave it on the window-sill outside if we wanted fresh milk from their cows in the morning. It was warm, our hosts were so hospitable and helpful, the views were spectacular, and I've never experienced milk like that before in my life. Don't miss it!
