Wanted to stay one extra night in Davos and this was perfect. Just outside main centre near Hospital Spital. 5 minute walk from bus stop but be warned it is up a small hill. Hotel traditional inside. Comfy bar and small lounge area. We had the half board and the dinner was excellent with a good choice of wines. Glass of Prosecco was good value. Free Car parking. They have a spa area but due to restricted numbers at moment they were full so if want to use spa might be worth booking in advance. Overall highly recommended

Friendly staff. Very comfortable beds. Quiet. Lovely atmosphere in this hotel, good breakfast served in a bright room with big windows offering a lovely view.|| Sauna just across the street- small 'relaxing area' with 2 lay- back chairs but fine for me as no-one else was using them when I visited. ||The restaurant looked very nice, it's a member of Gilde (Swiss gastro.) It would have been good to eat there but I was meeting up with friends in town. Hopefully next time.

I stayed at the Chalet Larix for 4 days and found it to be one of the best hotels of its size i have ever stayed in. Its location, just 10 minutes from Davos Platz Station is most convenient. And since i was in a hurry to attend the IDRC opening ceremony, i requested the hotel to pick me up and pronto, the lady driver was there. The property is superb with a magnificent view of the hills. With only 12 rooms in all, the service could not be more personalised. The breakfast is hearty and substantial. But the dinner we had one day was superb: saffron soup, variety of salads and the main course of river fish with fresh vegetables sauteed in butter on the side. The cool melon wedges with a light caramel sauce provided the perfect finale. The local wine from Lanquart provided the perfect accompaniment.||Tamara who has taken over the place from her ageing parents only 2 years ago, is the perfect combination of a vivacious and hospitable guide and a businesswoman. I recommend the place to anyone wanting a great holiday in Davos and Switzerland.||Keep up your good work, Tamara!

We stayed here for two nights on our visit to Switzerland. We had the family room which was much cooler then upstairs as it was hot when we came though. It had two room, huge washroom. Great breakfast and hospitality. The ladies would provide lots of info and always helped us if we asked. Highly recommend.

I really wish I wasn't staying just one night. This hotel is everything I could wish for on a motorcycle tour.||Our arrival was late (21.30) and it was cold and wet outside with some snow falling, but we were warmly welcomed into a gorgeous cosy reception area.||The hotel is run by people who clearly have a passion for this business. Everywhere is immaculately clean, almost to the point of seeming like it is brand new.||Gorgeous panelled walls and ceilings make the lounge, bar and dining areas feel warm and comfortable.||The bedrooms (I stayed in a single room) are warm and with plenty of room for me to open all of my luggage and also dry out some very damp gear. I had a much-needed great sleep on the large bed, and then had an amazing breakfast with such a huge selection of goodies I can't list them here. I started with the homemade muesli which was delicious, and finished up with a couple of fresh golden yolked boiled eggs, with more than I'm prepared to admit to in between.||I would recommend this hotel to anyone for any purpose. I was travelling inter-season but I can imagine it is as perfect for mid-winter stays as it is for summer.

From the outside, the hotel looks quite charming. Unfortunately, it is not. When I arrived at 21:00, no one was at the reception and I had to look for the people in the bar, where they were chatting and doing everything else than paying attention to customers. Kitchen was already closed at 21:00 which is far too early for a "Guilde restaurant". They forgot to gave my the pass for public transport. The room had a horrible mix of old and modern furniture, there is no Minibar. Wellness area is only open at request (what is a joke as you often decide spontaneously). Breakfast buffet is poor, there are no Gipfeli and it is not filled up, when empty. At saturday, they closed the hotel bar at nine, althoug it was written at the internet, that it would be open until the last guest leaves. To close the bar at nine on a saturday is a no-go and not customer friendly at all. TV programms are not set up correctly. There is only one small towel in the bathroom and no real shampoo or conditioner. It is not worth the money, although cheap for Davos, you better pay more but feel welcome.

Close to Davos Platz railway station and Jackobshorn bahn. The rooms are rather small but nice and cozy. The breakfast buffet is great

Very nice and cozy hotel. Good and fresh breakfast. Feels like home. Comfortable mattress. Pleasant staff. Excellent location walking distance from the center. Suitable for business travelers but I would also come back for a family stay.
