This was my second time staying at Chalet Mirabell, and I can honestly say I absolutely love this hotel. The property itself is stunning — from the breathtaking scenery to the variety of pool options, everything feels spectacular. The service is equally impressive. The staff are always friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. They even arranged a specific package for the dates I requested, which made my stay extra convenient. I also really enjoyed the daily inclusive activities such as yoga and workout classes, which added a nice balance to the experience. I booked the 3/4 board option (breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner), and it was wonderful to have such variety. The food was consistently delicious, with something to suit every taste especially considering I don’t eat pork so it’s nice to have other options available. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, and waking up to those views is truly unforgettable. If there’s one area I think could be improved, it would be the beverage policy. Given the premium price of the stay and that the 3/4 board is already included, it would make sense for water and non-alcoholic drinks to be complimentary. It feels a little unfortunate that they are not. That said, the overall experience at Chalet Mirabell is simply amazing. Between the incredible setting, the outstanding service, and the quality of both the rooms and the food, I would return again without hesitation and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay.

Went there for a vacation with my friends, we stayed in the family chalet, check in was smooth and the reception staff are very helpful .. everything took our breath away the moment we arrived, the general atmosphere is very relaxing, the weather was pleasant, the food is beyond delicious, I’d highly recommend it for couples or small group, the perfect spot for a quiet relaxing getaway, the hotel offers daily activities for guests, and I’d recommend booking with the full board option. Would definitely come here again

We visited this hotel for the first time. We must say that it is a very beautiful hotel with a beautiful view of the mountains and the valley. The staff is very pleasant, helpful, friendly. The room we had was a Garden Suite. It is a nice spacious room with direct access to the garden. The room is cleaned daily. The cleaning lady is very helpful and nice. We really appreciated the division of pools for families with children and then a wellness and a pool for adults. The gastronomy here is at a very high level. A large selection of dishes. The dishes are very high quality and good. The restaurants are spacious and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The pool with a view of the mountains is something wonderful. We can only recommend this hotel. We are already looking forward to next year.

Bad Management, Worse Value I have similar feelings to many other reviews here, this is an especially poorly run hotel. They priced Chalet Mirabell in the ultra luxury price range(priced in the same range as Rosewood f.e.), but the difference between Mirabell and even “normal” 5 star hotels is stark. Following our stay at the Rosapetra(which was 1/4 the price), the difference between a functioning hotel and the rudderless Chalet Mirabell was especially striking to see. While the hotel was beautiful, any “detail” was basically terrible. Like other reviewers, my allergies were consistently treated as an annoyance and they kept making mistakes despite the severity of those issues, and the rampant flies felt like we were in a swamp as opposed to a 5 star resort. The food sat out for hours and seemed unsafe to eat. The “hot tubs” were cooler than the normal pool. We were nickled and dimed — they tried to charge 50€ for a ratty tote for example, on top of assorted 5-10€ charges for water/coffee (which should be included in 3/4 board) which felt especially shocking. These are just a few examples, but really any detail was not thought through. After complaining to reception we eventually found out that the owners manage the property directly… without a general manager!! Hearing this helped clarify why this experience was so terrible — the hotel is run by owners who have no hotel experience, and it shows. This felt like staying at an extremely overpriced airbnb with an incredibly inconsiderate host, but unlike with airbnb we had no recourse to get any refunds. The property really is beautiful, which is such a shame to see the wasted potential. Dear owners — please consider hiring a GM to fix the details, backing away from management as it clearly isnt your strengths, and lowering prices by 80%. Then, this hotel would be one worth considering among other options, but right now there’s absolutely no reason to stay here over an airbnb or hotel for a much lower price.

Exquisite location with beautiful rooms and delicious food. It was an idyllic place to relax with options for hiking. ||A couple points of feedback: 1) at that price point, they should not be charging for tap water. We had a waiter block us from using a tap in the buffet area midday and had to pay for a carafe of tap water at dinner. 2) staff is truly exceptional and well-intentioned but need to do a better job explaining the hotel’s offerings, area sites and how to access them. To get to the hiking trails, you need to know that you are a 5 minute drive to the base of a mountain for an area called Merano 2000. From there, it’s either a hike or gondola ride to a wide area of trails and ski trails (for those in winter).

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Chalet Mirabell was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional—attentive, thoughtful, and warm. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel cared for and welcomed every step of the way. The property itself is stunning, with breathtaking views and top-tier amenities. Everything was clean, elegant, and beautifully maintained. The food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented at every meal. The only minor downside was that our unit didn’t have air conditioning. Even with the windows open, it was a bit warm at times. However, the staff quickly provided fans, which made a big difference. It wasn’t a dealbreaker at all, and it certainly wouldn’t deter us from coming back. Chalet Mirabell catered to our every need and made our stay feel truly special. We can’t wait to return!

Amazing hotel, lovely people, great food, just a shame about the weather! This is our sixth visit and we will continue to come every year. This was our first visit with our new born daughter and we would recommend Mirabell to install child safety plugs in the children activity room. The Sommelier was very knowledgeable, approachable and excellent. The table service was brilliant, particularly Maria, Simon and Annamaria. If we had any complaints on the food offering, we would suggest a larger offering/ more variety on the starter buffet. However, the dinner will never disappoint, and we thoroughly enjoyed every dish we had. Thank you for a lovely stay, and we look forward to our next visit

Do not stay here, for so many reasons. This is not a five-star hotel, and it is severely overpriced for what you get. We were excited to stay here — we’re vegan and have onion and dairy allergies — and chose this place specifically because their website said they had vegan options and could accommodate all allergies. That was not our experience. Here are the major issues: Food & Allergy Safety The food was consistently disappointing. Vegan dinner options were basic — pasta, couscous — and completely lacking in protein. Breakfast was soy yogurt and fruit. We asked for tofu, and they made plain sautéed tofu squares once, but after that, we had to request tofu with every meal. At this price point, there should be thoughtful, protein-inclusive vegan options automatically. Worse, we repeatedly told staff about our allergies to onions and dairy. Despite this, we were served dinner labeled “no onions” that clearly had onions, which made me sick. I had to start digging through every dish before eating. They also served dairy in one of the “vegan” meals, which made my partner sick as he is allergic to dairy. They knew about both allergies — we told them multiple times — but clearly weren’t careful. At lunch, the experience was equally frustrating. It was a buffet with soups and pasta served by a chef. We asked about ingredients — specifically onions — and he ignored us completely, repeating “tomatoes or meat?” and then shooed us away, saying “go find someone else.” No one else was around. This was completely unacceptable behavior from any hotel staff, let alone the chef at a so-called luxury property. Surely a chef should know what’s in the food prepared. And for dessert? There were no vegan options at “cake hours”. So that was just off the table. And dinner was just a scoop of sorbet a night, they should be different each night based on the “quality” this hotel claims to be. Non vegans had multiple options per night. Cleanliness & Flies There were flies everywhere — in the rooms, the dining areas, the spa, and worst of all, the gym. We couldn’t get through a single workout without being swarmed. At least five flies would be crawling on us at any given moment, with more buzzing around our faces. This happened multiple times. It was absolutely disgusting and made parts of the hotel genuinely unusable. Staff & Management Some staff were kind — one receptionist in particular listened to our concerns about the food and the fly problem and even reached out to the owners. But the owners’ response? Nothing. No apology. No explanation. No attempt to make things right. It was basically, “Too bad. Deal with it.” That’s all we needed — some acknowledgment — and they couldn’t even offer that. As mentioned, the chef’s behavior at lunch was also shocking — refusing to answer allergy questions and then waving us off like we were a nuisance. Spa A heads-up: this is a fully nude, mixed-gender spa, which they do not make clear enough when booking. This should be much more clearly communicated in advance. They Cut Corners Everywhere You’re paying over $1,000 USD per night, and yet: * Water costs €6.50. * You buy wine at the hotel, bring it to dinner, and they charge a corkage fee. * No protein in vegan meals unless begged for. * Pathetic vegan dessert. This kind of nickel-and-diming is insulting at this price point. AC There was no AC in rooms, it was constantly muggy and hot without the patio door open, and that furthered the fly problem. Understand AC isn’t a given in Italy, however shouldn’t it be at a luxury five star resort? In Summary Yes, views were nice, massages were good. A few staff were kind. But overall, this hotel is overpriced, allergy-unsafe, and poorly run. We felt like outsiders at a place with cult-like energy — unwelcome, yet they were happy to take our money. There are better hotels in the area for less. Save yourself the stress. This place isn’t worth it. Apologies I had to repost this review from the correct email.
