Chalet Queenstown

This place is cute, the lady who checked us in was nice, it has a solid view, and is walkable to everything in Queenstown. But wow does it need noise isolation in the rooms. I'm laying in bed listening to our neighbor take a shower right now and it literally feels like I'm in a metal box during a rain storm. Any time a door opens in the hallway, it squeaks and the entire floor can hear it. And if someone is having a hushed conversation in the hallway, you can hear every word. Throw in that the bathroom fan doesn't look like it's been cleaned in 5 years, and I can't recommend this place.

So glad we stayed here. Deborah is a great host, making us feel so welcome. The room was very comfy and cosy, and with a short walk into town it is in a fab location. Highly recommend staying here.

What a wonderful place to stay. Clean, comfortable and cozy. I love the location too, very close to town, yet a bit farther from the noise. Deborah was very helpful, friendly and made me feel at home away from home. Definitely excellent value in Queenstown. I hope to be back soon. Thank you Deborah!!!

Booked to stay at the Chalet Queenstown in winter when it was a bit quieter. A winter storm blew in and slowed traffic over the pass to Queenstown, delaying my arrival. The manager was quite kind and stayed up late to greet me and get me settled. Big thanks for that. The room was comfortable with a compact yet comfortable bathroom. One feature I loved was a door that opened onto a wrap-around balcony facing the lake. What a view! The Chalet Queenstown is located a short walk from downtown. Queenstown is built on steep hills so you do have to climb a bit, but nothing that isn't manageable by anyone in average shape. This is a great, small, hotel that makes it easy to leave your vehicle and explore Queenstown on foot.

We've just arrived. A day late. Thanks jetstar. But, very clean and well laid out rooms. Great location. Close walking distance to town. Very happy with this hotel choice. A true gem with deserved high reviews. Owners were very welcoming. And look at the view. Breakfast is fantastic. Definitely the hotel for us on a return trip.

A fantastic place to spend a few days for winter skiing or summer sightseeing. Centrally located but in a quiet street. Hosts/owners could not have been more welcoming. Breakfasts are not to be misse, with a choice of freshly cooked meals, complimented by a choice of cereals and fruit. I would recommend the Big Breakfast if you have a big day planned.|Rooms are not large but the space has been well planned with tea/coffee making facilities with milk available in the guests shared fridge. There is also a small fridge in the room.|We also chose to pay for the laundry service during our 6 night stay. All done in a day and far better than using valuable holiday time sat in a laundromat.

Very nice and cosy room, clean and nicely prepared. Nice view. Amazingly friendly, helpful and supportive hosts, great breakfast with nice options. The center and the lake can be reached by a short walk. ! at the moment (11/2023) roadworks are in progress - it is MUCH easier to arrive via Hensman Road and Edinburgh Drive, as a bonus you get a great view !

Rooms were clean, modern, spacious and comfortable, hosts were accommodating and friendly. Location was about a 10 minute walk or a 2 bus stops away from town. Breakfast was fantastic with an alacarte menu. We had to leave early so they prepared a continental breakfast tray for us which was very kind :) TV was entertaining for my husband to play around with.
