Chalk Coffee

Great place to enjoy a coffee and breakfast. A little loud when full given it's a cave/wine vault structure but a gem of a place all the same.

One of the more consistent coffee shops in Chester. The drinks are all uniform, a very good standard expected and delivered every time. There are some pretty nice batch brew and hand brew options. Toilets are always clean, great baby changing facilities, too. What makes it for me though is the staff, always friendly, always accommodating, we never feel rushed to order or finish our drinks despite how busy they are, and it does get busy. I'll be honest, we have never tried the food, but it looks nice

Recommended this place by a work colleague who lives in Chester. Stopped in for breakfast after an early flight down to Manchester, and it was lovely. Ordered the french toast and a long black coffee. French toast was amazing and the coffee was great! Personal phone battery was low and one of the ladies behind the counter got her own charger and lent it me whilst I finished my breakfast. Was a great spot and highly recommend!

After coming back from a month travelling in Japan, I was yearning for some quality coffee, food but especially the customer service. As a Londoner, that’s not been the case so far. But I’m glad to have discovered this incredible cafe during my short stay in Chester. All the staff members are friendly and welcoming. The decor and cleanliness is 10/10. And you just have to check out the photos to see the quality of the coffee and food. I don’t have a bad word to say. Thanks!

I visited Chester on my way to an appointment and gave myself a free day. I'm so glad I happened across Chalk. The staff were extremely knowledgeable on the coffees they served and very helpful with a kind, fun, attitude to serving their many customers. Their coffee was perfectly made and contained all the notes and flavours they said it would. I will heartily recommend this lovely, ambient and friendly coffee house to everyone, deserves more than five stars for everything

I had the chance to stop by here today, and it was really nice. I was thinking it would be good, since it's always crowded and busy. The interior is spacious and cozy. I got a latte. It was delicious, and the service was fast. The staff is friendly, too. It's a place I'll definitely stop by again to study or read a book

Nice coffee, also tried some dragon well green tea (personally I drink Tieguanyin daily so this is mild^^) Had lunch several times here and overall quite good.
