"In the southwest of Providenciales, this national park encompasses the tranquil Chalk Sound lagoon, a large expanse of shallow water connected to the ocean by a small channel. Check out the fringe of jagged limestone, called ironshore, along the shorelines of the lagoon and its small islets. You can rent a car and explore scenic Chalk Sound Drive, or you can stop at Las Brisas Restaurant to rent kayaks for a paddling adventure. See if you can spot stingrays and small sharks finning through the water, or the local rock iguanas foragingon the islands."

Chalk Sound National Park in Turks and Caicos is a breathtaking natural wonder that feels like a slice of paradise. Located on the southwest side of Providenciales, this stunning lagoon is known for its vibrant, almost surreal turquoise waters, which contrast beautifully with the hundreds of small limestone islets scattered throughout. The color of the water is so vivid, it looks like it’s been photoshopped, making it one of the most picturesque spots on the island. The park is perfect for kayaking, paddleboarding, or simply taking in the views from the shore. The calm, shallow waters make it an ideal spot for families and those looking for a peaceful, scenic experience. While swimming isn’t typically recommended due to the rocky terrain, the beauty of the area more than makes up for it. There aren’t many amenities within the park, so it’s best to bring your own gear and supplies. However, the nearby Sapodilla Bay offers a great spot for a swim if you’re looking to cool off. Whether you’re an avid photographer, a nature lover, or just someone looking to relax in a pristine setting, Chalk Sound National Park is a must-visit, offering some of the most stunning views in Turks and Caicos.

My personal favorite part of the island. Beautiful calm waters with plenty to explore, great place to do kayaking, paddle boarding and even some snorkeling. You can find coral, tropical fish, lobster and much more living in these waters. There are many small islands, a few bars restaurants you can pull up to, and a sunken plane to explore.

The Chalk Sound is beautiful. There’s no where to really park to view it, so we just stopped by the side of the road. I would love it if they had a public access area where you can park and get close to the water. Very beautiful scenery though, definitely worth visiting and then stopping by Sapodilla Beach.

Two separate days stand-up paddle boarding. Park at gravel parking lot called Chalk Sound view. We were the only people there for hours. Do not go if windy unless you are a strong SUP'er.

An incredibly beautiful place that is easily accessible, you can visit the park from the "Monika Chalk Sound view" lookout point and enjoy spectacular views by following the small trails

Amazingly beautiful place. Water is awesome for kayaking and jet skis. Not a place to swim as it is very shallow.

Fantastic place. Best part of the trip for us. Explore the islands in a canoe or swim to them if you can. The corals and island life are pristine - take utmost care not to damage!!
