A fantastic restaurant with a great selection of food and drink. There are many items here that taste great and you wouldn’t be able to find elsewhere. The staff are all super friendly and helpful, a truly pleasant meal.

Hired the covered area outside for a 40th birthday celebration, it was more like a personal room, very well decorated and heated. Service from all the staff at Chalk was fantastic and we were very well looked after.

Delicious Sunday lunch. All cooked perfectly with a beautifully rich gravy. The pear tart with cinnamon ice cream was the perfect treat to round off a very tasty Sunday lunch.

Amazing tasty food, even the complimentary bread was delicious! We’d heard that this place was great for breakfast and brunch but we booked for an anniversary dinner and I was so impressed with the food. Would definitely recommend for a dinner for two but i also want to try for other meals

Excellent wine tasting event. Very good wines with a knowledgeable sommelier and just the right amount of each. The food platter was very tasty, it was obvious that lots of thought and effort had gone into it. They are always great at meeting my gluten free needs.

I’ve had a few great evening meals at chalk and finally went for brunch getting to sit in the beautiful front garden. I ordered beans on toast which are house made and not from a can although it didn’t say this. Normally I’d be pleasantly surprised but it was drowning in oregano which personally i don’t like. As I couldn’t eat it I asked for some toast to have the eggs with which I was willing to pay for. Frustratingly this took over ten minutes and I had to chase twice which was annoying as it wasn’t particularly busy . Advice would be better descriptions on the menu and a little urgency when customers ask for help.

Absolutely amazing restaurant we really enjoyed everything starting with a friendly staff, superb service and delicious food. It's our first time and won't be the last. Wine was excellent and food cooked to perfection. My husband ordered pork and it was slow cooked to perfection. We finished with a lovely apricot and peach crumble Yummmy. Loved the place. the only thing it's a bit noisy but that's cool - Friday night everyone is happy feel like normal for a while.
