Chamberlain's Pony Bar

We went to Chamberlain’s Pony Bar after the theatre for drinks and appetizers. It was our first time going there. What a great vibe from the moment we walked in. We were seated quickly in a beautiful red leather wrap around booth.. our server was very friendly and gave excellent service all night. The music was amazing.. loud enough but we could still hear and talk. You have to try their fries.. best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend stopping in for drinks and food .. we’ll definitely be back!

Me and seven friends wanted to watch the NFL Playoffs this weekend. We emailed Pony Bar on the day of and Angus hooked us up with some of the best seats in the house and were awesome hosts. After we’d been there for hours they had to slide us down to accommodate another reservation. Not a big deal at all but they STILL gave us a free round as a thank you for us sliding over one table. Cheapest Guinness in the city (and good Guinness!) and a fantastic atmosphere. Great patio in the summer too. Will be seeing plenty of Pony Bar this year.

Searching for a new spot for our monthly brunch while Puppy gets groomed, came across this hidden gem ! They have just recently started to open at 12 pm instead of 3 pm. We were welcomed by the hostess and server with big smiles and friendly attitude. Being the first ones, had the place to ourselves, chose the patio as was a near perfect afternoon and just the right temperature. The bar is done beautifully, cozy booths and great patio. Our server - Siobhan was lovely, great conversationalist and fun. We had Ketel one and Sodas as well as an Appletini Martini which was delicious. The Fish tacos were perfectly cooked , excellent flavours and the Chorizo Quesadilla was just as tasty and flavourful. We had mentioned it was my partner’s birthday month and were pleasantly surprised by a couple of tequila shots on the house !!!! Definitely a place to visit more than once .

We walked into Chamberlain’s on a whim and ended up finding one of our new go-to spots. Great drinks, delicious food, and a cozy Old English-style pub vibe with warm lighting and booth seating. The menu is small but everything is done really well — the wings fall off the bone and the chips & queso dip go way beyond expectations. The service makes this place even are better. Siobhan was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about our experience. WHEN I go back, I will be making a special request for her.

Absolutely a stunning spot. The patio is so well done and makes the experience elevated. Ginny was a happy, attentive, and knowledgeable server, one of the best servers I’ve had in the city. The wings literally fall off the bone, I haven’t seen anything like it in Toronto. The chips and queso dip far exceeds expectations, given the beer flavour to the cheese and the dusted seasoning of the chips. A fabulous happy hour and a margarita that’s perfectly semi sweet with enough salt on the rim! Highly recommended.

Couldn't say more about this place. It's my local but, I would definitely travel to hang out with the amazing staff; in the warm atmosphere, and; drink $5.85 Guiness. I've met some great people just sitting at the bar and working behind it. A gem in the heart of King West. Not to be missed!

We came in here late in the evening after the place caught our eye as we were walking by. We are definitely glad we stopped in. We were able to catch the tail end of the hockey game while enjoying some delicious Mexican food. Some of the best tacos I’ve had. A small menu which I can appreciate because it is all done quite well. Quick service as well! Definitely recommend! (Sorry for dimly lit photos)

My favourite bar in Toronto. Cheap Guinness, personable service - lovely staff, great atmosphere/interior. Would definitely recommend to locals and anyone travelling here.

Best bar in Toronto in my opinion. Well priced drinks, great food and dessert, great atmosphere and music. The service is phenomenal and everyone is incredibly kind, try it out if you have time!

Food- 1/5 "guac" was good, cooked sour salsa on top of it was not a good match. The tortilla chips were seasoned and greasy. The "queso" tasted chalky and came with over fried crumbles of dry chorizo. "Cauliflower enchiladas" were basically just filled with refried beans, I've never seen anything like it, couldn't eat it. Margs were ok, but too sweet and too much lime mix Basically nothing was authentic or tasted good. Poor quality. Service 2/5 Decor/ambience 4/5 No soap in the bathroom!!!

Gord and I stopped in Chamberlain's Pony Bar last evening ... they opened almost a year ago in a former hair salon. They were showing Olympic equestrian events from the 1980s on the TVs. It was fun trying a couple fancy cocktails as we're not cocktail drinkers. Paulina was friendly and took good care of us.

What a great place to hang out and also be able to watch the action on the street out front while enjoying a great cocktail indoors at the bar. Our server was PM P and she was lovely.

I'd been wanting to check out Chamberlain's Pony Bar for quite a while, so when I happened to find myself in the area after work on a recent Thursday, I figured I'd pop in for a couple of drinks and a snack. I showed up around 6:00 and the place was packed, but luck was on my side because I was able to snag a spot at the bar. It was happy hour, so of course I had to order some stuff off the happy hour menu. I tried the Melon Harvest cocktail ("Gin, Melon Liqueur, Toasted Corn, Gentian") and thought it was pretty decent, though perhaps a little too sweet for my liking. (The Chalice of Beer I got next was much more satisfying.) I figured I should probably get something to eat, so I opted for the Queso & Chips ("Cheese, Chorizo, Chips"), which I found to be seriously delicious. The fresh chips and delectable dip complemented each other perfectly, and I was impressed by the copious amount of chorizo on there. Really tasty stuff. Chamberlain's Pony Bar is pretty awesome. I'll definitely be returning.

Holy shit, came in Valentine's Day - got seated at the bar with my homie and hand the two best bartenders of life. Dave and Cyle made our night with great conversations, attention to detail and just the most phenomenal customer service! A huge respect to both individuals managing the bar and handling customers

Overrated, overpriced, under serviced spot. The chicken tacos were messy to eat - too saucy. No silverware, and they weren't coming around for us to request for silverware. Fish tacos were smelly. The silver lining was the cocktail which was pretty good - we had a sour which was made with condensed milk, not egg whites which was pretty yummy. The ambiance is very cozy - could be a good date spot if you don't care about overpriced food and slow service. It was a Tuesday and they weren't even busy. So I don't know what the deal is.

Came in for happy hour and had a great time! It was busy but we got a spot at the bar and Joey took great care of us. The queso dip was great to snack on and we tried all three of their tap cocktails which were delicious. Very cool atmosphere, felt like we were in a UK pub. Will be back!

Some of the most beautiful decor I've seen in a pub! Tex-mex style food is delicious, and the margarita options are amazing! Service is always friendly :)

We stopped here a few weeks ago before seeing the Lion King and had a great time. The ambiance and service were both fantastice, we were all impressed. We had the chicken wings and Rum punch, both of which I highly recommend! Definetly looking forward to our next visit.

This is what great bars are all about. Along with great friends of 45 years we try Friday Happy Hours in Toronto bars as often as we can. Chamberlains is one of the best. Fantastic ambience and seating...none of the tacky "out of a box" Irish pub nonsense - the best banquettes in Toronto. Friendly, attentive service and terrific bar food. Our only beef - the happy hour drinks seemed watered down.

Friendly local pub with really tasty tex Mex food. The interior is incredibly welcoming and the staff just add on top of that. Will certinatly be back for the food and the service, but the drinks. They were the real show stopper. Tap cocktails and margarita menu were my favourite.

I totally loved the place. The atmosphere was great, it reminded me of the pubs of Ireland. I would recommend their chicken wings with a soft drink. Worth every dollar! Especially with the great service. Hugo helped us a lot!
