The most beautiful place I have ever been. Stunning nature everywhere you look, beautiful rooms and a great place to start your adventure. Doris, Charles and the team are taking care of everything needed. The food is really tasty and fresh, mostly direct out of the Lodge garden. I also can recommend the rural Uganda day trip and the boat tour or the magic walk. We also visited the local fisherman to hand them some donations – a touching and humbling experience that made our journey even more meaningful. If you’re looking for a unique combination of comfort, adventure, and connection with nature and people – this is the place to be.

Camellia Lodge in Uganda is a stunning property with amazing views over Mutanda Lake and the mountains in the background. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decked out. All the staff were extremely welcoming and wonderful, but I would like to make a special shout out to Daphine, who I heard was doing an internship. I hope you will retain her as a permanent employee. Daphine was an absolute delight, always there with a big smile and her extremely efficient service.|Everything else has already been said. What a fantastic place. |They even clean your hiking boots after a muddy gorilla trek.

We had an amazing stay at Chameleon Hill Forest Lodge. Super friendly staff, great services (our trecking shoes were never so clean!!), really nice deco details (loved the plants in the cans..) and such innovative tasty dishes! Overall we did not expect such a nice place after an hour drive on a bumpy dirt road. More than worth it!

Such a cute place to stay, we loved how colourful it was. Even though our stay was short, it was such a good time. The staff were lovely and always available if you had a question, wanted something or just wanted to have a chat. The rooms were really cool and the views over the lake were magical. The food was great - especially the lemon pineapple pie for dessert. So yummy!

My wife and I visited South Africa, Zimbabwe and Uganda. While the animals were magnificent it truly was the people we met. The staff at Chameleon Hill in particular welcomed us as family. Any small requests we made were immediately dealt with with a smile. Little things such as the timing for my massage ( it was fantastic). ||I went in to praise the chef after every dinner ( well deserved) , the food was delicious and presented beautifully.||Our cottage was large with every convenience imaginable. We loved the day bed for naps. Our bed was extremely comfortable.||Our guides were so friendly and knowledgeable, Spensa was with us most days.|While the drive to the Gorillas and Golden monkeys was long Spensa keep us entertained with stories of life in Uganda and pointed out things of interest on the trip.||We enjoyed meeting Bruce and his family at his farm immensely. |The visit to the school was probably the highlight for me. The interactions with the children was a life memory. They were so appreciative of the small gifts we brought for them.||We invited several of the staff to visit us at our home in Canada to try and repay the hospitality that was shown to us. We are in touch via Facebook and Email. I truly they will come.||I could go on forever in my praise for the lodge we stayed at and Uganda in general. The scenery was beyond description.||I have many photos , but won’t be able to send them today, soon I promise. a few for now.||Our best adventure yet.|John and Barb

This lodge is a recommendation in many ways: the breathtaking view of Lake Mutanda; the incredibly friendly, dedicated, and talented staff; the beautiful rooms with a great shower (also with a view of Lake Mutanda); the colorful design of the property, which conveys such a sense of joy and vitality; the scent of the flowers, which is almost lavishly abundant; the countless details that I couldn’t even fully take in during my three-night stay; the variety of activities offered; the excellent food; …||Above all, it was the almost unbelievable sense of family and warmth that struck me most – conversations with the owner, the manager, and many of the staff.||I sincerely congratulate you to this wonderful project, which blends so beautifully into nature. Until now, I had only seen such harmoniously integrated architectural ensembles in the works of the great Friedensreich Hundertwasser!

The boat ride to the lodge is just fabulous and a great way to arrive at this delightful place. The staff are great and very friendly, helpful and always smiling. |In particular Daphne was so good to Elke and me. She always remembered our names and her attention to detail was very noticeable ensure we were always getting the best service when at the restaurant. The lodge is just beautiful and clearly all staff love working there as it shows.

The area where the lodge is situated in surreal and the lodge is an amazing place, even more so when you realise where it was built (in the middle of nowhere). Chameleon Hill Lodge is really worth a visit ... one of these places that are truly unique on this planet! In front of you Lake Mutanda is magistral. But also the people who work at the Lodge are so welcoming, the service is great, the food was fresh and delicious, and the rooms are really comfy and full of details and love for Uganda and its flair. Not long ago a Yoga Shala was built on the property where we did some yoga classes ... the most scenic yoga classes ever ... undescribably beautiful. Of course the proximity to the gorillas is another atout and real highlight. But Chameleon Hill Lodge also offers many really diverse, interesting and local activities; from sport activities, to birdsighting, to harvesting and cooking with locals in villages. I feel extremely privileged to have been there in my lifetime and highly recommend it to everyone who loves the beauty of nature and wants to experience an adventure whilst feeling safe!
