The most amazing homestay in Sri Lanka! We spent 5 nights here (extended our stay). The location is perfect - about a 10 min walk into town along the tracks. The view is amazing overlooking Ella rock and extremely peaceful. The room is spacious and clean - the bathroom is basic but clean and has hot water for those colder nights in Ella. The family that run the accommodation are very kind and also serve an excellent breakfast. I hope to return one day!

Stayed here for 2 nights with 2 other friends in a double bed room. The room is spacious for us and the view in the morning from our room was so breathtaking! There's a stand fan in the room, no air-conditioning which was fine during the night. The family that runs this place are really warm and helpful. They provide laundry services which came in handy for my long travels. Breakfast was a delight, felt right at home with the freshly made hoppers. The owner makes amazing avocado toast !! Location wise, it's a little deep in if you're taking a tuk-tuk. We only used a tuk-tuk when we have to transport our luggage. Otherwise, it's a short 10 min serene walk along the railways to town.

This guesthouse has so much to offer and amazing value. Breathtaking, uninterrupted views. Clean, spacious and comfortable room. A beautiful family who prepare a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast (you may not need lunch) and even did our much needed laundry. The location is peaceful, surrounded by wildlife (bird lovers paradise) and only a 10 minute walk into the center of town or a very cheap tuk tuk ride. Wonderful experience!

This place is a gem! Magnificent views (including a waterfall)from our balcony and from the breakfast balcony . The people are super friendly and kind, and the breakfast is epic. Its only 1 km from the centre making it quiet, and the walk back to town is beautiful, you can walk into town along the railway lines also. AAAA++++

Nice Home stay, lilu is a great host. You can easily Walk into town. Great View from the terace to little Adams peak and Ella rock.

We really enjoyed our recent stay here! The hosts are so warm and welcoming, nothing felt like trouble to them. The room was large, if basic, and the views are simply spectacular and so peaceful at night. It's just far away from the overcrowded Ella centre to be able to enjoy the peace, but not too far for it to be inaccessible. There were just a couple of areas where small cheap changes could be made that would really boost the room: 1) A bed side table lamp would be appreciated; at current the only light is the harsh main light which is a bit overbearing when trying to relax in the evening. 2) A catch for the sink drain. The gaping hole filled me with anxiety everytime I brought a dropable object over the sink. I can imagine a ring getting dropped down there one day very easily. 3) an extra cushion or two for the seats on the terrace. Breakfast was lovely; fruit, egg hoppers and pancakes - though I imagine it could get a bit samey if you were there for more than 4 days. Overall, at this price point you would struggle to do better than here and we highly recommend

I’ve traveled quite a lot and visited many places around the world, but I’ve never experienced a room with such a breathtaking view. Beautiful mountains covered with jungle, animals within arm’s reach, and the wonderful calls of peacocks. The service was very kind. The hostess went out of her way to prepare what my daughter loves the most—local avocados. Delicious avocados from the garden, which you won’t taste anywhere else, paired with tiny cherry tomatoes. Absolutely delicious. We were even given some for the road. The rooms were spotless. I highly and sincerely recommend it!

So nice place to stay, rooms are big and clean, amazing view from the balcony and best breakfast during our stay in Sri Lanka!
