Chamonix Wine Farm

My wife and I had the most incredible weekend at Chamonix in Franschhoek, and I cannot recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty of the wine farm, the warm atmosphere, and the attention to detail that made our stay unforgettable. A special mention must go to our host, Brywell — what an absolute star! He went over and above to make sure we were comfortable, accommodated, and completely at ease. His engaging personality, genuine hospitality, and willingness to make everything perfect for us truly stood out. This man deserves recognition and a raise — he is a 10/10 host and an absolute asset to the Chamonix team. We also enjoyed the wine tasting experience, which was nothing short of fantastic. Each wine was a delight, and the pairing of snacks and goodies elevated the experience even further. I have to single out the chicken sliders with coleslaw — absolutely delicious and something I’m still craving! Overall, Chamonix delivered on every level: beautiful surroundings, exceptional wine, delicious food, and world-class service. We left feeling not only relaxed and happy but also truly cared for. We’ll be recommending Chamonix to friends, family, and colleagues — and I’ll definitely be sharing our experience on social media. If you’re considering a visit, don’t think twice — this is the place to be!

Went for lunch and wine tasting. The lady serving had no interest and looked like she really didn't want to be there . I got 3 glasses to try (1 had someone else lipstick on the glass , another had cork in the glass). We didn't even get a food menu. So had the go elsewhere to eat . The corner of the winery they allow for sitting and sampling has no veiw or nice scenery( only veiws of the carpark). It took quite a while to find someone to pay before leaving, then the card payment machine didn't work. There is some many beautiful wineries in the area with wonderful scenery. I would avoid this one .

We had booked to stay at Chamonix for 2 nights and there was a mix up through Booking.com. The host handled it so well- took care of us for the one night that a room was available at Chamonix and booked us a beautiful hotel in town for the second night, and even escorted us to the new hotel to make sure everything was taken care of. The staff and service at Chamonix were fantastic. The room had beautiful views, wine was great and food at the restaraunt was amazing.

Wow 🤗. What an unbelievable surprise. Michelin star class food and fantastic atmosphere. We planned on just popping in and moving on but after trying the Oyster Mushroom Ravioli starter and the Beef Tartar… we got seriously stuck. An absolute taste sensation 😛😎

We did the Navy and Pink lines on the wine tram and this was the best tasting wine, environment, and service that we had at all of the estates we visited. Thank you to Hershel for answering my many questions about the wines we tried but also the history of the estate. We almost skipped this winery on the tram and I’m so glad we didn’t. It’s a must visit.

This was the second stop on the winery bus 🚌. It was close to 12:40 noon. When we asked if lunch was provided, we were only told that there were light meals, but the restaurant was right next door! This made us feel very bad 👎

Wine was superb and service was excellent. The wine cellar was a wonderful surprise and highlight.
