Chamonix Wine Farm

This was the second stop on the winery bus 🚌. It was close to 12:40 noon. When we asked if lunch was provided, we were only told that there were light meals, but the restaurant was right next door! This made us feel very bad 👎

Fantastic pinot noir! Very efficient tasting and a warm cozy fire. Very much enjoyed my experience and appreciated that the wine was poured on time and I didn’t have to wait too long between pours !

Wonderful experience at Chamonix. I had the chocolate pairing and my husband had the reserve tasting. Mitchell was very knowledgeable and made our tasting experience a memorable one. Our favourite wines were the premiere white, Pinot Rosé, Cabernet Franc Reserve and Chamonix Rouge. Without meaning to, we are coming home with a good selection of their wine.

Went for a quick tasting, and the waiter was just terrible. I don't think I'd go back. Did their reserve tasting, and their Pinot noir and Cabernet Franc stood out!

Just a warning to the general public and tourists. A VERY dangerous place to stay over currently! Various guests attacked with pangas during the night and almost killed and robbed. Huge issue with security on the Estate.

We only came for a wine tasting. The gentleman serving us was great. It was close to closing time but he was happy to welcome us in. Really lovely wines and an excellent new find for us.

My wife and I stayed here for the weekend. It was a little out of our general price range but I wanted to spoil my wife. The room was beautiful, and the view was breathtaking. but sadly the room smelt very strongly of mold. We were told to open the windows to fix that, it didn’t help. Many of the pictures here are old and a number of the buildings and rooms are just straight up abandoned and very derelict. There are also no more animals. It feels that the new owners are more interested in creating wine than doing accommodation, which is a shame because it’s a beautiful location. The staff were great, although a bit of a calonial vibe calling the staff members “the boy” or “the girls” when talking about fully grown adults.

A beautiful location! Restaurant: The staff were lovely and kind, lovely wine. The food was delicious, however we were disappointed that the chefs were unaccommodating towards a very small dietary restriction, considering the amount of money willing to be spent which was disappointed. Wine tasting; Very enjoyable. We loved the wines and different varieties of tastings available, the staff were very friendly. Our afternoon was unfortunately almost ruined due to the Czech guests sitting near us blasting terrible and unsuitable music from their phones, we (along with 3 other tables near us) asked the waiters to ask them to turn it off, after 2 failed attempts I witnessed two tables leaving. We then kindly asked the table ourselves, with no luck. It was disappointing to see that the staff were not backed up by management, or more that there was no management around to control the situation.
