Ordered online. Picked up in the drive thru window. Order was missing Strawberry Pie we were charged for. Chicken sandwich was missing mayo and had brown wilty lettuce (see image). First and last time we will eat here, avoid at all costs, lots of other great options in the area.

Google
Great experience, service, and food! I found this location via Google as I am not from the Chattanooga area. Our team came here from Louisville, Kentucky for Head of the Hooch and needed a location for a team dinner. We had a group of nearly 100, so finding a space to accommodate us all was a challenge. I called the Lees Highway location where the manager, Brooke, let me know of the East Ridge location and coordinated with their manager, Maggie, to help us out. Maggie and her team had everything ready for us when we arrived. The whole experience was positive, from organized ordering to coordinate our kids’ bills with ours, assigning each of them a number, to ensuring seating was efficient, and the food was great! Everyone was happy with their drinks and food and we had a great time together thanks to Maggie’s coordination. The staff was personable, outgoing, in addition to everything else I said above. We look forward to returning next year if they’ll have us.

Google
Such a cool place! Of course it was our first time dining in and what an experience. Our server Jilly was so sweet and fun, it made the experience even better. The ladies there are all so nice!

Google
Been a fan of Champy's for years and out of all the locations in Chattanooga, I like this one the best. While it's in a bit of an awkward spot to get on and off the highway, it's usually the least busy and food is just as good as the other locations. The food is always hot, fresh, and delicious and I've never had a bad meal. On this visit, the service was a bit slow for our table of 2, with our waitress only checking up on us near the end of our meal, meaning no drink refills or extra sauce, which was disappointing. I didn't see other tables nearby having this problem so maybe she was just busy.

Google
We got a dark meat plate and a chicken sandwich. Fried pickles, hush puppies, fries, mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. Overall everything was good. Fresh to table and popping hot without anything being soggy or wet. The fried pickles had a great batter to pickle ratio and had a little kick to it. Ranch was a little watery for my liking, would have loved this to death if the ranch was slightly thicker. Mac and cheese tasted a little sweet and similarly to kraft with fancier noodles. Hush puppies was a little underdone and had a kick to them. I prefer mine to be honey but still very good. Fries were amazing crispy and tender in the inside. The chicken and sandwich was good! Again fresh and hot to the table. Had a strawberry cake for dessert and it was beautifully sinful. The frosting had some strawberries mixed in and the cake came cool to the table which was amazing on a hot day.

Google
Best chicken joint this side of Tennessee. Our Waitress trula was awesome. All around great service and food definitely will be coming back for that crawfish

Google
Delicious fried chicken! The sides were tasty too. Fun and lively atmosphere.

Google
Great place to eat. The food is delicious. I had the Buffalo chicken salad. My husband had the fried catfish plate. Our waitress was wonderful. Her name is Chloe. Thank you, Chloe, for great service. If you are ever in or around Eastridge Tennesse, you need to make it a point to stop here and eat. You will be glad you did.

Yelp
Great random find right off the highway. Was visiting a client and ran into this place by accident. Glad I did! Amazing fried chicken, great service. Will be back when I'm in Chattanooga again. Found it odd-but also cool that the entire staff is all good looking females. Reminds me a bit of Twin Peaks, without the raunchiness. Highly recommend the Tamales. Yum!

Yelp
I love stopping by a champys location when I'm in Chattanooga. The tenders have a little hint of heat, but hot overpowering. The batter is crisp but still holds the crispness over time. The staff is ultra friendly and gets out your food in a flash. A great choice when in Chattanooga!

Yelp
Stopped here with a friend on the way back home bc she loves this place. Evidently the menu used to be bigger because she also raved about the barbecue and collards which were no longer on the menu. However, that's ok bc the fried chicken was sufficient in satisfying my palate! It was hot and fresh and I think reasonably priced (I ordered the half chicken). The beans were ok and not that hot or flavorful for me...more on the sweeter side. Fries were good. My friend loved the taste and quantity of the catfish she received. Also to note, the sweet tea was good. Can't say that about everywhere! Our server was a young girl that was polite and checked on us just often enough where she wasn't a nuisance but didn't leave us wondering if she had clocked out. I mention this bc it was a Saturday and although we were seated immediately it was starting to get busy bc it was game day (college football). There are TVs everywhere so I liked that. Kinda sports bar-ish but not too congested. I would definitely return.

Jackie S.

Yelp
Pups enjoyed themselves. Loved the Bloody Mary, hot chicken chunks and 3 piece dark meat plate! Great service from Savannah!

Marilyn D.

Yelp
Located conveniently off I-75 near TN/GA state line this restaurant offers a unique and fun atmosphere. I would probably describe this more as a sports bar as they do have a huge bar area, lots of TVs, outdoor and indoor seating. Obviously we stopped on a game Saturday so it was pretty noisy. Our server was spot on, She was on top of everything, ensuring our sodas/water were full, it was so nice to have a server that actually enjoyed her job. So for the food. I had the fried chicken it was really good and moist. I didn't like the presentation of sides in tiny plastic containers, I just think if I want take out, I'll get take out. Sides mashed potatoes and gravy were average and I thought the coleslaw was too sour for me. Probably just personal preference. Hubby had breakfast he had a generous portion of thick cut bacon, eggs and biscuit. His biscuit cooked to perfection. He tried gravy on the side, it had a good taste, but a kick to it, and to thin to his liking. So get on side I think just individual taste. Overall it was enjoyable, food was good, but not the type of place I just can't wait to go back to.

Yelp
Great crispy chicken. Right by our hotel. A nice respite after a long day on the road.

Holly W.

Yelp
Took some friends from out of town on Sunday. Service was good and the food was great!

Greg R.

Yelp
These folks really have their act together. Plenty of TVs and kind people. Their parking lot is typically jam-packed. Great chicken as well.

Cheryl R.

Yelp
Fun place , great service and fantastic food ! Order extra so you will have left overs !

Delanee B.

Yelp
We stopped for a quick bite to eat here on our road trip to Livingston TN and it was the perfect spot. They have outdoor seating and allow dogs which was great for us since we had just picked up our puppy. They had a decent selection of drinks as well! We both ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and it was super crispy yet juicy on the inside and with pickles on it too was a great combo. It wasn't too spicy but had a slight kick to it. My boyfriend got the French fries which were good and crispy, and I got the potato salad which was the perfect amount of creaminess and crunch! It had some seasonings on top but it was not spicy. The waitress was super friendly and it was quick service. I'd definitely return here!

Tony H.

Yelp
This may be my second review of this place. This is the chicken I use as a comparison standard. "Is it as good as Champy's?" I believe the Chattanooga one is the original. Gotta try it.

Big Jim H.

Yelp
I have been a loyal customer to this restaurant since they opened. Till last night ! Had the chicken livers , they were ok till I bit into one and it was a fried rodent !!! I can't believe they didn't notice that when they cooking them !! Never will I go back !!

Dennis F.

Yelp
I am probably one of the pickiest people in the world when I comes to fried chicken. I was taking a few days to visit Chattanooga and fould this place by accident. I was recommended by a person at my hotel and I thought I would give it a try. When I arrived it looked bigger than I expected and was really kind of quirky in country meets beach kind of way. I walked in and was immediately greeted and seated and within a minute of sitting I had a glass of tea on my table. I ordered a half chicken with baked beans and potato salad. About four minutes later my server, Abigale, apologized to the food taking so long. I was thinking that in many places my order would not have even been placed in that time. My food arrived and I must say thjis was the best fried chicken i have had in years. Hot, crisp, with nice flavorful breading and it was cooked perfectly. I was totally impressed. Two days later, before I left town I drove 35 minutes across town to get another serving.. Again, upon entering I was seated immediately and my server, Savannah, was every bit as prompt attentive and just a friendly. I did't even pick uo the menu and ordered the same thing with exactly the same results. Beside the wonderfully fried chicken the baked beans are potato salad were terrific too. Great service and great chicken. I will be back. Oh and one more thing, I found out the have a location in Alabaster, Al not far from home. I'll be reviewing that one next week evidently.

Flo V.

Yelp
Once again.... They do the BEST fried chicken!! Madison was our Bartender.... Fabulous smile, attitude and great service. The whole place has got a great vibe !!! We ordered our Chicken Lunch, and because we're traveling... needed some things to go. (Of course) . We left with the Chicken & Sausage Gumbo, some chicken and a slice of Overload Chocolate cake !! Everything was over the top delicious!!! Definitely one of our favorites when we pass through Chattanooga, TN.

S M.

Yelp
Looks like a fun place. Having some fried chicken after a great day of white water rafting.

Macy T.

Yelp
Enjoyed my 1st visit here at Champy's. I was in town for work and looking for a convenient place to eat lunch and was pleasantly surprised. There is normal seating, bar area seating, and an outdoor patio. They also have a drive thru. The staff is all incredibly friendly and attentive. The Buffalo chicken salad was tasty and I'd be excited to come back to try more off the menu. Definitely a fun place to grab a bite to eat.

Martha H.

Yelp
Brunch is great here. & dont forget the famous fried chicken. Also they got Tv's for your favorite games to watch. & service is great.

Robert M.

Yelp
We had a party of 15 and the waitress did a fantastic job with our entire table. She was super friendly and very helpful!!! The restaurant itself was very cool. The food was good too! It was a great place to hang out and enjoy with friends!

Arideal K.

Yelp
The fried chicken and potato salad were great, as always. Not a fan of bell peppers in my beans. Had to ask 3 people to bring me my buffalo sauce since it wasn't really enough on my smoked Buffalo wings. The Buffalo sauce was cold when they brought it to me. It's a really nice place to sit down and have a meal with family. The server was really nice but was running around a lot, nothing wrong with that.

Zaria D.

Yelp
I went for lunch. It was off a major interstate but there was parking. Was seated quickly and the server was fast in coming over. I got chicken tenders and fries at this time. It taste good and after eating the fries, I had tenders to take home for later. The atmosphere was cool. Location was convenient to people on 75. Seating was prompt, at least for that time of day. Staff was friendly.

Chuck T.

Yelp
I usually don't eat fried food but the place I drove to was closed. I was crushed. I had looked forward to eating there all day. Then I looked across the parking lot and saw Champy's. Looked busy at 430pm and I hadn't had fried Chicken in years. Walked in and met by a friendly greeting. I asked for outside seating and found out they had an outside bar. Worked for me. I had a lovely Raven haired tamed bar tender take my order. I got the Two piece chicken. Didn't know anything about the sauce or beer choices. Only place I know you can buy quarts and fkusie to match. Food was tasty and service was fast and steady . Ms Capri blonde all American girl bartender took great care checking on me and she wasn't my original server. Beer was cold and $3.65 special so on Natural Light. Ambiance and s unique. I would say these are the best and most attractive bartenders in TN.

Ken L.

Yelp
Decent chicken only restaurant. Nothing special about the chicken to justify the price of the food but the gumbo was really good.

Wilkeem C.

Yelp
Was visiting Chattanooga and came across this restaurant. Staff was nice. The Place had a good vibe and the food was really good.

Jenn V.

Yelp
The food is good though people I've been with on previous visits have gotten chicken that's WAY too salty. Staff has corrected the issue but the rest of the party was mostly done eating by the time the fresh food arrived. I usually get the catfish and it's good. It's plenty to fill you and the choice of sides can be changed. Tonight I had fries, and while there were plenty, they weren't great. I usually get their Mac n cheese, which is a small serving but excellent. I also had the Champy's punch, which was plenty boozy and fairly tasty. This place is very casual. There was some live music on the patio tonight as well. Overall their food is usually good, though you get a bad batch here and there. I've eaten here several times and will continue to do so.

Alice B.

Yelp
Food is good but expensive. They DO NOT have a kids menu so you have to get a full priced meal for them. If you are taking children to each with you....go somewhere else!

Steven L.

Yelp
Still the best restaurant in Chattanooga area. It's also my favorite restaurant. I recently was passing through this town and decided to stop by for a visit. I couldn't resist getting my favorite meal here which was the catfish plate. Check out the picture I took of it. Anyway, this is Champys newest Champys restaurant in the Chattanooga area. It's also the 3rd location for a Champys in the area. This one was built about a year ago. They took area of me like always. I sat down and they took my order and brought my catfish plate out. It came with hush puppies, French fries, coleslaw, onion, slice of bread on the bottom along with sweet tea. It was delicious as always.

Ciara C.

Yelp
Had an amazing time here at Champys. There was live music and the food was amazing. Will definitely be back. I recommend the fried green tomatoes (app) and the two piece dinner plate with potato salad, baked beans, green beans and Mac and cheese. The extra sides are worth it. Portions are large, heck the chickens huge. Service was great. Will def be back

Rich R.

Yelp
We had a large party and the food was still super fresh and good. I had the catfish and it was super meaty and HOT. Get the baked beans and extra hush puppies. They are darn good.

Troy W.

Yelp
Great service. Food was amazing. I came here for the chicken and it did not disappoint. Looking forward to eating here again when I am in town.

C E.

Yelp
We gave them another try after a bad experience 18 months ago. After tonight, won't be back. The food was fine, but as in the past, service and leadership from management was nonexistent. Our servers boyfriend sat behind us on his phone watching videos loudly so we asked to move. That upset the server and we didn't see her for 18 minutes. Cleanliness of the restaurant was terrible. Bathrooms were in bad shape with vulgar "stuff"written all over. (Tough to take a grandparent in there.)An easy fix for connected leadership. Fundamentally, we won't be back and we have friends that own a store in central Georgia.

Chuck G.

Yelp
This was our first trip to Champy's. The chicken was excellent. My daughter had the buffalo chicken salad, which she loved. Macaroni was a little al dente, we prefer it softer. Overall, good food.

Robert M.

Yelp
Grabbed lunch on a Sunday afternoon and had a good visit at Champy's. Enjoyed the brunch options and our service was very good. The brunch menu was a good option for getting something other than heavily salted, fried chicken. I would say that the "cathead" biscuit that I got was good, but the biscuit wasn't truly a "cathead" biscuit. The hash browns were soggy and I had only gotten them because they were out of fruit that was advertised on the menu. Again, good service and we were seated quickly at a nice table for 5 on the porch.

Monica L.

Yelp
My husband and I had dinner at Champy's. The fried chicken was perfect in every way -- hot, crispy, not greasy, and well seasoned. The French fries were also great. I wouldn't recommend the mac n cheese. It was very bland. I highly recommend Champy's for fried chicken!

Emily F.

Yelp
Unique environment, it's definitely a vibe. We waited a long time for our food, but we did have a very large group. Food was good, but tons of fried options, not a ton of variety

Gary N.

Yelp
Another great Champy's. Same great fried chicken and same great staff and service. I have watched the pictures as they built the new location so drove threw this week with my boss and had to stop in and see this place. You could get the first two Champy's and fit them in here. They layout is great and huge compared to the previous one on Lee HWY. They have a larger bar and outside area. Looks like it's big enough to have live music inside at some point. I love the Mississippi Delta cooking and can't wait to stop in again. It's time we get one in Knoxville. If so I will be lined up at the door the first day.

Brewster A.

Yelp
My cousin was passing through Chattanooga on the way back to Pennsylvania Saturday, January 21, and we decided to meet for a quick breakfast/brunch. Due to Champy's East Ridge proximity to the interstate, the restaurants unique vibe geared toward a motorcycle crowd (my cousin owns Harleys) and their special "brunch" menu on weekends, it seemed a good fit. WORST CHOICE EVER. I arrived at 10:50 am to wait for my guests, and was seated in the bar. There were maybe 6 other people in the area -- not crowded. My server asked about a drink to which I requested coffee. Now, if a restaurant opens at 10:30 am specifically to serve a brunch, then logically, wouldn't it have fresh coffee be ready (?!?). Nope. 15 minutes later, I asked for coffee again. "We have to make it" was her reply. When she brought it, she never offered cream or sugar. Again, I asked and when she returned, "we don't really have cream (?a brunch menu?!?) so I found these" -- she plunked down some hazelnut creamers. When my cousin arrived, we both ordered the Champy's special which specifically states "two eggs, cathead biscuit with a choice of hash browns or grits, sausage or bacon". Our plates arrived -- food was maybe lukewarm-- but there was TOAST, no biscuit. I asked the server "this is supposed to be a cathead biscuit". She replies, obviously irritated "it's a choice". I replied "no, there was no choice -- the menu states it's supposed to be an automatic with the meal". She stumps off and comes back with ONE biscuit even though there were two special plates. I was beyond exasperated, so my cousin asked for his biscuit along with just basics -- butter and some jelly. She brought them several minutes later -- frozen. Champy's is not a cheap restaurant, so you would expect their service to be above par. I supported them since they first opened on Main Street -- but no longer. We should have enjoyed a better breakfast at Cracker Barrel for half the cost. So very, very disappointed for my guests and will never recommend them to anyone again.

Manuel M.

Yelp
Food very good. Chicken was juicy and had good seasoning. The side portions were pretty small. The perfect crunchiness. The Mac n cheese and the baked beans complemented the main meal very well. The service was very good. It has an eclectic souther style.

Anthony T.

Yelp
I know fried chicken. I was satisfied with their version of it. Good sized pieces, good flavor. I still prefer the offerings from the big fried chicken places but this is a welcome break from the corporate places. The cole slaw was good too. The mac & cheese however, sucked. The waitress said it was great, made in house. It was just lame. cheese sauced over pasta. One side dish does not make for a good or bad experience.

J.d. M.

Yelp
Overpriced garbage. Bad server. This was close to our RV spot so we decided to go for dinner. We were sat immediately on a Friday night and waited on promptly. That was about the only good thing from the experience. Our server was Faith, barely responsive and definitely not friendly, no personality whatsoever. A serious drag. Husband asked that sauce for sandwich be on the side, he was brought a sandwich that had all the sauce and toppings on it, all SOGGY. Server didn't come back for awhile, and when she did, she really didn't act like she cared. Waited a good amount of time for replacement sandwich, a couple bites in...nasty grizzly pieces. Told the waitress about it and just a quiet sorry is all that was received. Didn't provide any compensation at all. Nothing, nada Everyone else's food was decent but $13 for a chicken sandwich and fries?!?! And they don't offer kids meals?! The food is nothing special to say the least, better off saving yourself the disappointment and make your own chicken dinner or sandwiches. Also didn't like the fact they let customers bring dogs in...they weren't therapy dogs, just regular pets. There were 2 there close to us. Don't hate dogs but honestly not necessary to bring your pet to eat with you. This was supposed to be a celebratory dinner for our kids accomplishments and this just sucked. On top of that, we noticed that they charge you a credit card fee of almost $4. Seriously?!?! Just wow. We will not be going back and so irritated that we have them our business. Money wasted.

Robbie G.

Yelp
The best place for for fried chicken! I loved the tamales they were spicy and the chicken breast and chicken sandwich were great. The location here is nice plenty of parking and seating and pretty reasonably priced

Mumbo J.

Yelp
Please change your recipe. I really wanted to love this place as I grew- up in New Orleans. Disappointing.

Brett T.

Yelp
Really good chicken and great service. Sports bar atmosphere with plenty of TVs to each the game.

Taylor D.

Yelp
I came in for lunch. I got a chicken sandwich and my partner got a dark meat meal. He said his was fine, but my chicken sandwich was inedible. It was so dry that it was difficult to swallow. The sides were also awful. I had the fries and he had mac & cheese. Im only giving two stars because he said his dark meat pieces were fine, but I don't expect I will be back any time soon.

Mark H.

Yelp
Ehhh, used to be one of my favorite places but now the price is about 75% higher and the chicken breasts is about 50% smaller. It was completely underwhelming

Dej C.

Yelp
I would give it ten stars if possible. Just walked into this gem and the food was good. Manager and staff are helpful and accommodating! Next time I'm in town I'm coming back !!! We got the catfish meal and the chicken tenders plate. Sides: mash potatoes, baked beans and fries !! We ate it alllll up !

Senica L.

Yelp
I regret coming here. I'm pretty sure it was the owner's mom who declared this the world's best because it certainly is not! Subpar service and cold food is what you can expect here. Ordered an appetizer and 1 entree that came at the same time and EVERYTHING was barely lukewarm. The macaroni and cheese was actually cold. I didn't want to be a pain so I only complained about the mac and cheese and was given a new order of it. The tamales were just okay, who knows, maybe they would be better if they were hot. I wish they were made of pulled pork instead of ground beef. The wings were just... blah. Who wants cold wings?? The breading wouldn't stick to the meat. The side of mac and cheese is tiny. It comes in a sauce cup (you know when you pour ketchup in a little plastic container). This was the only decent item. Extra large noodles in a liquidy cheese sauce. My favorite part is when the server gave me a box to take home the food that I barely touched but she made sure to take the mac and cheese off the table. Who does that? Obviously I wanted to pack it to go.

Lopez B.

Yelp
Fried chicken was BOMB. The Tamales(more like tamalitos) were also bomb... everything was super tasty and worth every penny. Definitely give this place a try.

Sarah-Beth C.

Yelp
Always delicious and always excellent service. The bands live music is great and the crowd brings good energy.
