Chandni Chowk is a world of its own—bustling, chaotic, yet full of life! The moment you step in, you’re greeted by narrow lanes overflowing with history, mouthwatering street food, and endless shopping options. Whether it’s crispy parathas from Paranthe Wali Gali, hot jalebis from Old Famous Jalebi Wala, or the legendary chaat stalls, every bite here is an explosion of flavors. Shopping lovers will find everything from gorgeous wedding outfits in Kinari Bazaar to intricate silver jewelry in Dariba Kalan. The energy of the market is unmatched, and even though the crowds can be overwhelming, it’s all part of the experience. Don’t forget to take a rickshaw ride and soak in the old-world charm.

A must-visit place with one of the most vibrant food and shopping scenes! We tried Bedmi Puri, Jalebi with rabdi, Rabdi Falooda, Dahi Bhalle, Gol Gappe, and Veg Momos — each one was a treat. Since it was just a one-day trip, we couldn’t try everything, but we’re definitely coming back next time for more — especially the chole bhature, chole kulche, Daulat ki chaat, and their famous parathas!

The crowdy and best wholesaler market in Delhi is chandani chowk Delhi. You will get all the thing like daily accessories, cloths, hardware and house keeping things. Market is near to metro station. Nearby metro station are sadar bazar, red fort, chandani chowk. Great place to shop in wholesale and low prices. Sharing autos you will get easily here. Many showrooms available with plenty of things.

What a magnificent view of the whole market!! A must visit place if there is a marriage ceremony. Let it lahenga, sherwani or any costly items for bride or bridegroom, you visit this place and u will save ten of thousands or may in lacs subject to ur marriage budget. Thousands of shops and showrooms dedicated for marriages and other functions. You will find here more than 4-5000 shops of jewelry only. Hard to find dedicated shops being the whole area so congested. Please do specific arrangements for mobile connectivity as the network may not be available. Recently the main road was also improved. So many unauthorised parkings are also available.

This is one of the biggest markets of Delhi. Everything is available here at very cheap rates. There is a very big light market here which is an electrical market by the name of Bhagirath Place. Your mobile, bag or wallet can also get stolen here, so you should be careful in this market.

Visited Chandni Chowk on 5th August 2025, the place is actually overcrowded. Not many genuine tourists or shopping people, but loaded with beggers, pickpockets and humongous number of rickshaws obstructing the beautiful Road leading to Fathepuri. Up keep is questionable. Will not recommend now to visit.

One of Delhi’s oldest and busiest markets, Chandni Chowk is a vibrant hub of history, food, and shopping. Narrow lanes are packed with shops selling ethnic wear, jewelry, spices, electronics, and street food.

I visited Chandni Chowk, Delhi’s legendary 17th-century marketplace, and here’s an engaging, easy-to-understand review packed with history, sights, shopping, and candid feedback. --- 🏙️ Heritage & History Founded by Shah Jahan and designed by Princess Jahanara, Chandni Chowk ("moonlit square") was once a grand canal-lined boulevard reflecting the moonlight. Today, its narrow lanes buzz with traders, shoppers, and scooters among centuries-old havelis, temples, and mosques. It remains one of Delhi’s oldest commercial hubs, surrounded by landmarks like Jama Masjid, Red Fort, and Guliyan Bazaar. --- 🛍️ Shopping Highlights Each lane specializes in something: Dariba Kalan: silver & gold jewellery. Khari Baoli: Asia’s largest spice & dry fruit bazaar. Kinari Bazaar: wedding trims, ribbons, lace. Nai Sarak: books and stationery. Chawri Bazar: paper-goods, cards, brassware. Bhagirath Palace: wholesale lights & electronics. You’ll also find textiles, leather goods, electronics, toys, stationery, festive items—and prices you can bargain down. --- 🍢 Food & Street Eats A paradise for foodies: Paranthe Wali Gali (stuffed flatbreads since 1800s), Natraj Chaat, The Old Famous Jalebi Wala, Giani’s falooda, Chache Di Hatti chhole-bhature, and Meghraj & Sons sweets. The mix of aromas—from fried snacks, spices, dairy, sweets—is intoxicating. A rickshaw ride through the lanes is unforgettable sensory chaos. --- 🧹 Beautification & Maintenance A ₹99–140 crore redevelopment once spruced up sandstone lanes, bollards, and sidewalks. But current upkeep is poor—damaged fixtures, faded greenery, and unregulated rickshaw parking give a worn-out feel. Illegal construction and weak infrastructure pose risks in densely packed streets. Local bodies and the High Court have urged better maintenance and regular sanitation. --- ✅ Final Verdict Chandni Chowk is more than a shopping district—it’s Delhi’s living, breathing history. Why visit: Endless variety of authentic goods and bold flavors. Rich historic ambiance infused in every lane. Perfect spot for aficionados of food, culture, and local crafts. What needs fixing: Improved street upkeep and cleaner public infrastructure. Better control of rickshaws & waste to preserve its charm. --- If you want to feel Delhi’s soul—a blend of chaos and heritage—**Chandni Chowk awaits. Just come early, keep an eye on your belongings, and get ready for the best bargain and foodie adventure you'll find.**
