Chang Korean Charcoal BBQ Restaurant

We had a wonderful lunch experience at Chang Korean BBQ and left very impressed by both the food quality and service. We ordered the Prime Rib Eye (Aus. 200g), marinated chicken, seafood kimchi pancake (customised to all prawns), ginseng chicken soup, steamed rice, Coke Zeros and a makguli. Every dish was well executed — the beef was flavourful and tender, the marinated chicken was juicy, and the kimchi pancake with prawns was satisfying with a nice balance of crispness and flavour. The ginseng chicken soup was comforting and hearty. What truly stood out was the service. The waitress wearing spectacles was extremely patient, polite, and genuinely cheerful throughout. She cooked both the beef and chicken for us over charcoal and thoughtfully removed the charcoal once everything was done so we wouldn’t feel the heat — a very considerate touch that made the experience even more comfortable. The total bill came to about $245 including GST for the both of us, and honestly it felt well worth it given the quality of food and attentive service. Parking was also incredibly convenient, literally right at the doorstep, which made the visit very hassle-free. Overall, a very enjoyable experience and we would happily return.

One of the most authentic Korean BBQ restaurant hidden in the outskirts of busy Orchard road. Inaccessible without car. The Spanish Pork collar and spicy chicken are simply delicious, eaten by wrapping it with lettuce and Korean sauce. The Korean ginseng soup is thick and I like the ginseng taste that infused into the whole chicken. The staff provides good service by grilling the meat for us at the other end of the restaurant.

I had a wonderful dining experience at Chang Korean Charcoal BBQ Restaurant. We ordered the cold bibim beef broth noodle and the spicy pork, and both dishes were outstanding. The cold noodles were refreshing and full of flavor, perfect for balancing out the richness of the spicy pork. But the highlight of the meal was definitely the spicy pork. It was absolutely heavenly – tender, juicy, and packed with just the right amount of spice that kept me wanting more with every bite. Another thing I really loved was the portion size. The servings were huge, definitely worth the price, and great for sharing if you’re dining with family or friends. The banchan (side dishes) were also a treat. Each one was tasty on its own and complemented the main dishes perfectly, adding variety and balance to the meal. On top of the delicious food, the restaurant had a cozy atmosphere that made the whole experience even better. Service was friendly and efficient, and everything came out fresh and hot. Overall, this is a place I’ll definitely return to. I’m already looking forward to coming back to try more of their dishes, because if the spicy pork is any indication, everything here is going to be amazing.

Went there for dinner on a Sunday night. Unfortunately the quality of meat was not great. Spent close to 100 per person and the meat was not tasty and did not taste like prime cuts. Service was average. Drinks were not refilled unless asked repeatedly and the banchan were in small quantities similarly hard to get a refill. Overall it was not a pleasant experience.

Quiet, but a bit on the pricey side, wish the beef (not shown) taste a bit better, hard to chew off. Pan cake is good though! Service staff are attentive 👍

Probably one of the best Korean BBQ restaurants in SG! Love the beef and the banchan. We ordered the 2 pax beef set and it was wonderful! The Ganjang Gejanh banchan was incredible! Thoroughly enjoyed the food.

First time to chang. Food is not too bad. Ordered the soy marinated prawn. First time too as I have tasted soy marinated crab. The prawns are huge and marinated well. Reckon I cannot expect the same as sashimi prawn, but this gave a robust soy, sesame oil taste and crunchy prawn flesh. Can’t do many pieces. After my second piece, I felt abit ‘jelak’ (overwhelmed). As there are only 2 of us, we ordered soondubu jigae + samyetang. Overall good experience as the serving staff were lovely and attentive.

Authentic Korean dining. Service was good. Waitress was very attentive to take a blanket to cover my bag as we ordered and opted for BBQ at the table. Very relaxing atmosphere in the restaurant on a weekday afternoon. Side dishes are amazing. When we went, we were surprised to see them serving soy marinated crab as one of their side dishes. This may be random and subjected to availability.
