8 secret spots in Bangkok that only the locals know of - SilverKris

"Centered around a decommissioned L-1011 TriStar Lockheed that dominates the site, this creative market blends restaurants, bars, designer shops, a cinema and a theatre with an offbeat visual identity: buildings and stalls fashioned from upcycled corrugated iron, old windows and doors. The retired jet itself houses a quirky taxidermy museum, making the whole park feel like an artful, recycled playground where commerce, performance and unconventional displays collide." - SilverKris

Where to go if you miss airplanes and flying - SilverKris

"A sprawling creative village notable for a disused L-1011 TriStar Lockheed wide-body trijet reassembled on site (complete with a prominent red slide) that houses a Runway Bar beneath its wings and is used for special-event dining. Opened in June 2017 and included in TIME’s 2018 list of the World’s 100 Greatest Places, the park spreads across roughly 26,941 m² and combines artisanal stalls, independent fashion and homeware labels, a cinema, art installations, live performance spaces and several bars and eateries — many of which use recycled materials such as salvaged zinc panels and old wooden doors for décor." - Joy Fang

Another another market! Be careful with timings! Yes SOME restaurants are open from 11am but not all and nothing else is going on until evening time. We arrived at 3pm went for food and even if the market is supposed to be open from 4pm, a lot of the sellers were still setting up. I would go from 7pm if you want the real full on experience.

ChangChui is a wild blend of art, market and nightlife rolled into one. The centerpiece is a giant retired airplane turned into a restaurant/bar — quirky, visually striking and totally Instagrammable. Walk through open-air corridors filled with indie boutiques, street food stalls, cafés, and art installations. In the evening the place truly comes alive with lights, live music, and a creative crowd. It’s not perfect — on weekdays some shops remain closed, and it can feel quiet in parts. Also, the restaurant inside the plane tends to be pricey. But for a creative night out off the beaten tourist path, it delivers. Would definitely recommend going during evening hours (after 5 pm or so) to catch the energy. And if you want, I can also write a short version you can copy to Google Reviews.

It was a pleasant surprise! After I had a buffet and took five minutes taxi over. There were plenty of shops to shop around. Mainey vintage items. I love the vibes , there are over 10 restaurants and over eight bars! Live band was all over, you’re definitely need to check it out!

Lovely place with lots of vintage shops. Stalls and shops all shut at 11 pm though so it’s not like other markets which close at 2am. We had a drink in one of the bars that surround it and they had a live band with great music, drink and food!

Visited in June 2025. The market and restaurants are built centering a giant retired airplane turned into a restaurant/bar. The place is an open-air market with boutiques, cafés, and art installations as well as stalls like other night/weekend markets. This place has an art gallery. Best time to visit is in the evening when the place comes alive with lights, music, and crowd. However, on weekdays some shops remain closed, and in the daytime also it can feel quiet. Would recommend visiting this place during evening hours (after 5pm).

Don't come before 4pm. There is an old plane in the middle of the place which looks impressive but that's it. We arrived too early but what I saw was a bit disappointing. They do offer live music aa who as beer and sausages. But I am wondering if there is more (?) given that it is in the middle of two highways. The food (according to the menu cards from various restaurants) are higher than you are used to from the inner-city of Bangkok locations.

Nice place to visit, many special shop and good for photos. Night time I think better, many shop not open in the day time

A very good market for second hand clothes. Saturday amd Sunday being the crowded days with max stalls. Few toy shops. A lot of options for food. Good time to go is by 6 pm. Closes by 11pm. Clean toilet available. What i bought from here was a few toy cars and some shades. Not a very huge market but can easily spend few hours here .
