The staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating! They recommend restaurants/tours, helped us call taxis when needed, and book tours. There was a grocery store a 5-minute walk away, and the beach was a few steps away. We absolutely loved the free bikes! They also give you a lock so that was convenient. We only stayed two nights, but breakfast was different each morning – pancakes & bacon the first morning and a breakfast burrito the second morning. The room is small and dated but it has all of the necessities, including a safe. Our water stopped working after 10 PM one night so that was a bummer because we couldn’t shower, brush teeth, etc., but apparently it happens sometimes on the island. The same night, the entire island had a power outage so we woke up with no AC, no power, etc. – management did nothing wrong and there’s nothing they could’ve done, but I’m sure nicer hotels had generators so keep that in mind if you’re worried about power outages (I’m not sure how often that happens? But it was really hot in the room). The only reason I wouldn’t stay here again was because we didn’t feel safe – the staff is only there from 9 AM to 5 PM and the only entrance was down a back, dimly lit alley. There is an entrance on the main street sidewalk, but it was locked during our stay. There’s a large courtyard inside the gate that is dimly lit and there’s no security/staff to check in if they hear something, so we were worried walking back to our room anytime after sunset.

My husband and I booked a 2-night stay here because we saw the review in a travel book. The room was tiny but comfy, We didn't mind it because we were out and about all day! The book indicated the best breakfast B&B, but it wasn't, in our opinion. Yes, at night it was a bit noisy but we didn't mind it. We used the complimentary bikes. The snorkeling at Hol Chan was absolutely magnificent!

If you are looking for a luxury resort, this is not your place. If you are looking for a nice, clean and reasonable priced accommodation, close to the beach, this is a perfect place! The staff was very accommodating and pleasant and the breakfast was great, home cooked breakfast every morning with a side fruit salad. Beds comfy. This place doesn't have a swimming pool but it's only 5min walk from the beach and the clear blue ocean water; bring your snorkeling gears. Relaxing, nice excursions easily planned right off the dock. Location is great, very private spot and close to all what you need for a relaxing, nice vacation in San Pedro. We can’t wait to return!

Stayed one week and accommodations were good. lower rooms are small but more than adequate. The breakfasts were FANTASTIC!!. A very nice and quiet location next to the waterfront. A 5 minute walk to downtown on the waterfront.||Would recommend a golf cart for getting around though. If you go in the high season then the traffic will be unbearable. If you want to visit try early October. September is when the establishments typically close for refurbishment, especially restaurants.

Was a very comfortable place to stay for a couple of days while visiting the island. Felt very safe, but small. Within walking distance of downtown, and this place offers bikes for free if you need a way to ride into town. The lady running the place was so nice and accommodating to my girlfriend and my dietary restrictions when making us breakfast each morning. Would definitely stay here again if I come back.

Amazing breakfast! Different and delicious everyday. Room was very small but clean and great air-conditioning! Staff was amazing, went above and beyond helping me find a lost passport and getting it shipped from the main land. Perfect location for our needs, a quick trip by golf cart to town or a less than 10 min walk. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed my stay at CIL. I traveled solo and had some questions prior to arriving. Janice answered those questions via email and assured me I would be safe, but did advise me to avoid walking alone on the beach at night. The staff gave me a very warm welcome when I arrived and was quick to give me suggestions on a place to grab lunch. The recommendation was spot on - a great little Belizean place that was terrific. There was an extremely nice Belizian woman (name started with a C) who was managing the place while I was there. She was terrific!! She was friendly, helpful, and cooked a wonderful breakfast. ||Breakfast: very good and different each day||Rooms: I had read ahead of time that the rooms were small. They are small. However, how much time do you intend to stay in the room anyway? ||Noise: CIL is located on Cocunut Dr which is a main road. It is busy and very noisy. I was in a room fairly close to the road and heard traffic all hours of the night. However, the location makes it very convenient to walk/travel to just about everywhere in San Pedro.||Beach: this is NOT on the beach. CIL is on the corner of Cocunut Dr and an access road to the beach. There is a house/hotel between CIL and the beach. It is a very short walk to get to the beach, but don't expect to look outside your window and see the ocean. ||Courtyard: really very nice and quaint. I spent a good bit of time there. ||Location: very convenient. I walked from CIL to many places in San Pedro. ||Cons: street noise and NO coffee in rooms. Coffee is not available until 7am when breakfast is served. This is a major con for me - I'm an early riser and like my coffee first thing in the morning. I watched the sunrise each morning and a cup of coffee would have been a great addition to that ritual. ||Safety: I felt completely safe at CIL. Doors have deadbolt lock, and there are cameras all around the property.||I would definitely recommend this place and stay here again. I do wish they'd make coffee available earlier in the morning, though.

Breakfasts are excellent, and the friendly lady running the place just makes it! We had to catch an earlyish ferry out which meant we'd be leaving too early to make the usual 7:30 breakfast time, and we just asked what we needed to do to checkout and she said we could come to breakfast early :-) Rooms are not large but a/c is cold, showers are hot, bed is comfy, and everything is very neat and clean. Loved this place.
