Chango Restaurante

We had a fun time sitting on the upper terraza for a late lunch. The food is good, hearty - skip the pasta, but definitely order the burger and coco camarones. We have had better cocktails elsewhere but overall it was a good meal with nice service in a very fun atmosphere.

Fascinated with the tradition of the day of the dead, I came to Morelia Michoacan Mexico to live the experience and since all this is related to the culinary experience, CHANGO was one of the top recommendations on google and by some local residents So here I go , the main thing , they do not have a menu in English , which I think is essential in any place like this in the whole world , the captain of waiters started out very friendly but he was losing patience with so many questions showing an angry attitude to the point that it ended ordering a pastrami sandwich that almost left my teeth there because of how hard it was , a fettuccini with shrimp without any flavor , but not everything was bad , the fries were very good , and the best dessert , a pumpkin cream brûlée with cinnamon toast The Best of the night 🎃

Best food I had in all Morelia. I had the pulpo, vegetarian lasagne and chocolate brownie. It was perfect, will definitely return here!

Unbelievable find. Amazing food. What a palate!! This guy dreams up new dishes in fantastical combinations and they are sublime...

We came here expecting to get the famous tuétanos de hueso and they don’t serve that anymore what a disappointment instead we had to get something they had at the moment it wasn’t how we expected to be but I recommend calling first before going 😔🦴🤷‍♂️

Horrible Experience for being the first time!! When we arrived a man welcomed us and did notify us they pesticide, but never told us regarding the roaches. Me thinking bugs, aunts etc! I order a vegetarian lasagna and everything was good until I cut the lasagna in small portions I had 2 bites when I saw a small German cockroach in my food!! I got so disappointed and disgusted! I called the waitress and notify her and she apologized offer a new plate & of course I said no! I was disgusted and felt so nauseous. I don’t recommend this place!

Everything about this place is amazing - delicious food, incredible drinks, wonderful service and impeccable atmosphere. The server went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. Highly recommend and will be back!

Had a terrific lunch (comida) today. Excellent service. Beautiful presentation. Ate at their sister restaurant last night (Cuish) and had exact opposite experience - poor food and service. Restaurant quite empty. Perhaps that's why service was so good. Decent prices. Extensive list of mezcals and lots of other creative drinks.

I didn't get to try much of the menu, but I can recommend the Ceviche. I got a sample of each to explore the different pallets and none disappointed, their ahi tuna tostada was my favorite. Their cocktails were unique and aesthetically pleasing, but the flavors were stiff and did not match the presentation. Overall the service was great attentive, quick and engaging.

This restaurant is nice BUT!! No one speak English. And we order foods and drinks. Food is so slow and wrong about drink too some menu they forgot. That bad and make us waiting for long time. And don't have costumers for that time too!!

Delicious innovative food in a beautiful place with great drinks and service. I wish there were more places like this in this beautiful town. Highly recommended!!

Food is nothing expectacular, kinda pricey for the area. Oily steaks, provelatta with no cheese and sandwich style made, etc. Defenetly the worse part was the service! OMG, Monday night so the place is basically empty. Two tables for our waiter and he still manage to take 20-25 minutes to get our drinks orders. Our table was inside a little room so he also managed to ignore us for the entire dinner! At first I thought he didn't like my Spanish accent but then I had my cousin (a local guy) to order 4-5 appetizers to start and our waiter (with a pony tail) treat him rudely and like we were bothering him! We had to eat our food with a very limited number of requests and spent u$s 300+ to eat with paper napkins. My other cousin and I asked for the check three times (little did we know that somebody else in our group had already taken care of it). Do you think that this sorry excuse of server told us: "the bill is paid"??!! No sir, he managed to ignore us and at the FOURTH request he brought us a check with a tiny peace of paper saying : "have a nice day" in English. I might be reading this wrong, I think what he meant was "stop bothering me and screw you". My wife and the rest of the group agrees with me. Bottom line: I will never let him treat me the same way again. You decide what chances you want to take.
