One of the warmest and most heart-touching experiences I’ve had at a hotel. I came here all the way from Toronto to attend a workshop and decided to stay a few extra days to continue writing a book I’ve been working on for several months. The room I received was full of inspiration, and the overall atmosphere in the hotel was incredibly welcoming — it gave me a true sense of belonging. The breakfasts and afternoon snacks made me feel like someone was always there, quietly caring for my well-being. Highly recommended!

My husband and I had a lovely time here for our anniversary. The staff were all gracious and helpful. The breakfast offerings were exceptional; especially enjoyed the souffles and great coffee. Slept well on a very comfortable bed. The setting: surrounded by trees and flowering shrubs, with bird song made it most relaxing. Great location .

I have mixed feelings about Channel Road Inn. In the interest of being fair, I am breaking down my review into topics. Location: excellent. Near the beach and felt safe the entire time. Coming and going was more difficult during high traffic times, but that seems to be the norm in LA and surrounding areas. Hotel: generally clean and well-decorated. There is no AC here. Nice seating on the main floor and outside. Parking is a bit tight when it’s busy. Check in: we had very friendly service from Elle but we were charged twice for the hotel stay. Completely unacceptable and created an inconvenience to resolve with the hotel and the bank (especially with currency conversion as we are from a different country). Room: While the room seemed clean and had nice coastal decor, it had a pissy, musty cat smell (despite the windows being open). The tub was also slow to drain. The room had sheer curtains and we were situated near the main road, so we felt exposed! The bed/pillows were comfy. They had a nice welcome note with two cookies. On night 1, it was so intolerably hot that I had to request a fan. Then I learned the heating was on (mind you it was like 26 degrees C outside so why did the heat need to be on)! The room was cooler later on once the heating was turned off. Complimentary breakfast: we were very pleased with service and breakfast from Zach! He demonstrated pride in his work. The breakfast the next day was so so. The coffee was FANTASTIC on both days. Many options for different diets. Check out: no secure space to hold your suitcase for a few hours after you check out. Not ideal but not the end of the world. Santa Monica is beautiful and for the rate, the hotel wasn’t a terrible stay. They just need to improve check-ins and the state of the rooms.

Great little place by the beach. Very old house but the room was updated, comfortable, and clean. They provide small snacks throughout your stay and provide delicious breakfast in the morning. I would stay at the channel road inn again.

I rarely write reviews, but Channel Road Inn deserves one. This is one of the few hotels which has made us feel really at home: from Dominique's homemade pear cake and granola, through the rustic charm room to the late afternoon wine and cheese... Everything was perfect. Thank you so much Dominique and team for all the special attention you provide and the love with which you manage your hotel.

I recently returned from some time out at sea. While I never experience sea sickness, I occasionally feel a bit "land-sick" after days of rocking on the water. This hotel was the perfect retreat for my situation, as it offered a calm and welcoming environment while the land seemed to sway beneath me. Check-in was a breeze, and while they offer a convenient tech-based option (which I didn’t use), the traditional process was smooth and efficient. The property itself is beautifully maintained, and my room was clean, comfortable, and well-prepared. One of the highlights of the location is its proximity to everything you might need. As someone who enjoys walking, I appreciated that downtown Santa Monica was just a short 1.5-mile stroll away. The scenic journey along the beach made it all the more enjoyable, blending relaxation with a bit of exercise. During my stay, I took full advantage of the amenities, including a delightful happy hour, the nearby beach, and a lovely breakfast to start my day. The hotel is situated in a quiet area of Santa Monica, offering a peaceful escape while still being close to the action. Though the sensation of swaying never quite left me, I took it as a sign that the ocean was calling me back. If you're considering staying here, I can confidently say it was a wonderful experience, and I hope your visit will be just as memorable.

We (mom, dad, teenage daughter) stayed in the family queen room. It was just what we needed. The 2 bedrooms were cute and comfy and the bathroom was spacious enough for us to share. ||The service was wonderful! Every request is accommodated with sincere friendliness. The common areas both inside and outside are lovely, and the breakfast and snacks were delicious.||We really didn't know what to expect and we're so glad we decided to stayed here instead of a more traditional hotel. The beach is just a few minutes walk away and there's a great coffee place right next door. Two thumbs way up!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Four Sisters Inn in Santa Monica, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable—friendly, attentive, and welcoming in every way. The rooms are the perfect blend of luxury and charm, with thoughtful touches that make you feel right at home. Every detail has been carefully considered to create a cozy and inviting atmosphere. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious breakfast, which featured a variety of fresh and flavorful options to start the day off right. In the evenings, the charcuterie board and wine offered during happy hour were such a treat! It was a perfect way to unwind and connect with other guests. As a travel consultant, I will absolutely be recommending this gem to my clients. It’s an ideal spot for anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious getaway in Santa Monica. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, the Four Sisters Inn is a place you’ll want to return to again and again. Thank you for such an unforgettable stay!

Yelp
Charming bed and breakfast in Santa Monica is close to the beach, super welcoming and quiet place to stay that lies in close proximity to lots of cool bars, restaurants and places to explore. They spoil you with baked goods all day long. Seriously. I am a sucker for breakfast pastries, but there are snacks all day and a lovely offering of complimentary homemade foods, drinks and wine at happy hour. Staff is super friendly, always available. Rooms are clean, well stocked, a bit dated, but quaint.. Lovely outdoor spaces. Very small, but if you are looking for an alternative to a large, commercial hotel, this just might be your new place when you visit LA.

Yelp
This is our fifth or sixth time staying here, and everything remains as wonderful as during our first visit. I had never stayed at a bed and breakfast before I discovered the Channel Road Inn one late evening. I was searching for a quaint place for a little getaway with my husband. Since then, we've been back to this gem several times. Their team feels like family to us. Matt, our favorite evening friend is someone we call our long lost cousin now, he keeps everything on point and joins us for a chat when we need some company. Dominic and Lateasha are like the best friend's I've had my whole life and they both prepare next-level breakfasts. We've met Corey twice now, and he is so incredible that words can't possibly describe him, he's the icing on the cake. Channel Road Inn, thank you so much for your hospitality and for treating us like family. We hope you never get tired of us because we refuse to stay anywhere else when in LA when we are there on business.

Yelp
What can one say?! An utter gem ... starting with the four remarkable women who curate Channel Road, serve the most delicious food and see to every detail. Then, there's the location, the house-keeping staff ... and on and on. My third visit. I'd love to try other Four Sisters locations, but then I would miss Channel Road.

Yelp
So incredibly cozy. I wasn't sure what to expect but AS SOON as I stepped in the door I knew I made the right decision. Matthew greeted me and made sure I understood everything before he left even know I checked in at the last minute. The ambience was so welcoming. It honestly felt so warm, like a hug that's needed after a really long day. Waking up and seeing the breakfast spread that was homemade and having fresh squeezed orange juice and the beautifully arranged area? My partner and I enjoyed our night and honestly wished we could stay more. This will not be my last time there. I vow to be back

Yelp
After 4 years of not visiting the area we finally made it. As always Channel Rd Inn did not disappoint. Everyone was welcoming and made our stay a wonderful experience. This visit we brought our daughter and grand daughter and stayed in the family room and it was perfect for us. The rooms were well kept and the food was delicious!! When we come again we will definitely stay here.

Yelp
We had such a wonderful stay here! Booking was a praise, we called them directly to confirm the room was large enough for two adults into children. It was plenty spacious with the separate room for the children which was ideal. The bathrooms are a large and very clean, they have great toiletries available as well as bath robes, towels and anything you might need on your stay. Their homemade breakfast was delicious, the warm dishes as well as their homemade granola, fresh fruit and yogurt. We could've easily stayed a few additional nights, it was so relaxing. The location is ideal for a quick bike ride to the beach, literally one block away! Highly recommended, especially for this Price range it was a five star experience! Highly recommended! The service simply can't be beat, they are so friendly and welcoming.

Yelp
We just left after spending 10 nights, and we were sad to leave. Walking into the front door we were greeted by Audrey with a warm and welcoming smile. The aroma coming out of the kitchen of a freshly baked treat was delicious. I almost expected to see my grandmother coming out with a plate of cookies. Each day began with a delicious breakfast, newly brewed coffee, and always a freshly baked treat. 4:00 greeted us with some wine and savory snacks. Upon returning each evening, we found another treasure waiting for us in the common area. Homemade cookies, cakes or the nostalgic rice crispy treats were the "welcome home" we so enjoyed. The location was perfect. We walked to the beach each day, rode bikes along the PCH, and hiked on the many local trails. We walked the "stairs" into Santa Monica. We strolled into the Palisades to visit family. We were a short drive to the Getty, Malibu, and the Petersen Car Museum. We had two rooms while staying there, and they were on the small side but that was by choice. There were larger rooms available. Each room had comfortable beds, and fully equipped bathrooms. The staff was wonderful! Dominique was always cheerful and accommodating. When ever we needed something. it was delivered within minutes. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyableWe can't wait to visit again!

Yelp
There is so much to love about this spot-- and that's after staying in nice hotels for a week and a half in Hawaii just prior to our stay here. From the time that we arrived, we were greeted and given wine & cheese. Our stay was very comfortable and felt very safe. The room was a bit warm but easy fix with the tabletop fan in the closet (a bit dusty) or by opening a window. Our only complaint was that the headboard would bang into the wall when we shifted in bed, but otherwise loved the decor and our stay here. Now to the seriously good stuff-- their breakfast! There were different flavors of quiche/soufflé every morning along with different cake loaves. All made from scratch and flavored perfectly. There was also clementines, cut berries, Greek yogurt, hard boiled eggs, as well as tea and coffee. As someone who never sticks around for hotel breakfast and opt to explore instead, we changed our plans to be here every morning. That's saying something! Dominique and Delaney are two that I can name but everyone we interacted with here are wonderful. Parking was plentiful but man are the spots tight! I would not recommend parking on the first spot on the right when you enter. We parked in the second spot which is at a slant when thankfully there wasn't another car next to us. It was difficult to hold the door so that it wouldn't slam into another car if one was parked there. There is street parking as well if you don't feel comfortable parking here. PCH, 10, and 405 were all very close by and made it easy to go explore. Highly recommend for a relaxing stay away from DTLA.

Yelp
Beautiful place. My parents were in from out of town and I wanted them to stay near us for a night. The hotel manager, Violetta, took exquisite care from the moment they were checked in. Lots of nice spaces to lounge, eat, work, sit outside. Fun to be nestled into the canyon, steps from the beach. And Dominique's food: ten out of ten!!

Yelp
Outstanding service, amazing location, I rarely give five stars to places...This place deserves five stars and then some. After arriving, my husband and I were greeted with warm smiles and friendly staff. We we're shown around the 14 room bed and breakfast, the garden, dining area and our lovely room. Waiting for us was a beautiful hand written welcome note and two freshly baked chocolate chip cookies! Such a lovely and thoughtful touch! Our room was large, we had windows around the room that let in the beautiful sunshine but also the amazing breeze...we even had an ocean view. The bed was super comfy, not too firm, not too soft. The bathroom had plenty of shower and bath amenities so if we left something at home, we easily found what we needed with what the property provided. Evenings presented a lovely assortment of cheeses, crackers, spreads, white and red wine. I think it we t from 5 pm to 7 pm. My husband and I chose to enjoy our wine in the upper garden...it was so beautiful and quiet. Lovely...so very lovely. Even better, the Beach is just a short walk from the Four Sister's B&B. If you're looking for a fabulously relaxing getaway or just a few nights of tranquility...come book a room here and get ready for total relaxation!

Yelp
STAY AWAY If you get a poor review I expect more than a generic response. I was not looking for anything beyond acknowledgement of my issues, but I got a generic response. To me, this says they parent company does not care about your experience. Below is my initial review, but based in their response, 1 star. STAY AWAY. It's a nice location, close to the beach and a couple restaurants, but far from anything else. The staff was awesome, good breakfast, nice wine and cheese in the afternoon, but the room I got destroyed any positive. I was in room 4, bed was highly uncomfortable, and when someone above me took a shower, the water in the pipes was so loud it woke me from a dead sleep at midnight. For 2 nights I spent over $700 and don't think the room was worth half the price. Maybe the other rooms are good, I will never recommend this place or return solely based on the quality of the room I was in.

lee t.

Yelp
Charming room and a very nice breakfast. Note: to get to the beach walk down Channel Rd toward the ocean, on the south side of the street--you will arrive directly at the Roosevelt tunnel that will take you under PCH to the beach. And fyi, based on our experience, your room will not be ready before 4 no matter when you arrive.

Yelp
This is a lovely place! Beautiful surroundings, great coffee wine and cheese and terrific home cooked breakfast. Audrey was a wonderful host. We will be back!

Yelp
Loves staying here: what a gem! The rooms are so inviting. The location is just a short walk to the beach. The staff is so warm and welcoming. The rooms are large (at least the one my daughter and I stayed in) and clean and have so much charm. I would hig recommend and I already have. I will be back!

Yelp
I have never stayed at a bed & breakfast before so I really didn't know what to expect. I stayed here for two days and what struck me was how nice and welcoming everyone that worked there was. The rooms were great, the food was great, and I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience. Highly recommend staying here.

Yelp
It's been several years since our last visit, but this place is still the best B&B ever. From the super-warm welcome by Maureen to the regrettably last wonderful breakfast, we loved it again. It feels like home from the beginning. Our room (#3) was beautiful, spacious, and sunny with a large sunny bathroom with jacuzzi tub as a bonus, and a fireplace (and home-made welcome cookies). (On the street side, if you have the windows open it can be noisy when there is traffic, but it's very quiet with the windows closed.) The breakfasts were wonderful: Fresh fruit, yogurt, home-made granola, and each morning a savory egg dish and a sweet baked goodie. Plus more options I couldn't fit on my plate. Every afternoon there are goodies out, and then early-evening wine and cheese. And always coffee and tea available. And the location is perfect - just a black or so from the beach, and walking distance to the pier. Free on-site parking. It doesn't get any better than this.

Yelp
we came here for a quick weekend trip- it's been the first hotel/airbnb we've booked since the coronavirus pandemic and naturally we were hesitant and cautious when booking. Our room was so incredibly clean and the staff was amazing! we were late getting our breakfast slips in the night before but Diane was so sweet, she made sure we were fed and she gave us a wonderful vegetarian breakfast! we especially liked the eggs with veggies and the granola was sooo yummy! thanks Diane! :):):)

Yelp
Santa Monica, Ca. A great vintage hotel a few blocks from the beach. Price was really right for the neighborhood, and they provide parking. Other hotels in this area actually charge you for parking which really annoys me. Very small bedroom but who cares, I'm only there to sleep. Bathroom is large, shower is the bathtub /shower curtain arraignment. Hot water is quick, ample, and easy to regulate. Not sure how the temperature is regulated, some kind of central system. I was warm all night and there was no window unit making noise. Hors d'oeuvre's and wine presented in the evening, and breakfast in the morning. The hostess is the most gracious and welcoming I've ever met. Bed very comfy, pillows are not too fluffy. WIFI works great. A small amount of street noise filters up but not too bad. We walked to the restaurant district, a mile or so away. Got to try out the Santa Monica steps. Almost too much for this old man. Hundreds of very steep steps leading up to the higher elevation streets. One set is wood the other concrete. Many fitness buffs go up these in what appears to be minimal effort. I suggest the wooden ones first, not as many. Come down the concrete ones.

Elle M.

Yelp
We only had one night to relax in Santa Monica but this hotel was perfect! just a few minutes walk from the beach, we enjoyed the sunset after arriving, and a morning walk before our departure. Our room was #14, accessible without entering the main building, which felt especially private. It included a nice bedroom with a comfortable bed, a very large bathroom with a soaking tub, and a small sitting room. Evening snacks were a nice treat and breakfast on the patio was great. Service was A++.

Yelp
Best Bed and Breakfast ever!!!! We loved our stay here. Amazing bed and pillows. Amazing beautiful location. The staff were extremely friendly. The food was equally amazing.

Yelp
Feels like a hidden gem. I usually stay in bigger hotels in Santa Monica, so this was a nice change of pace. Friendly staff, very cozy spot. Waking up here felt like I was on vacation, even though I was just in town for work.

Lauren S.

Yelp
Just got back from a quick stay here, and wish it was longer! The room was adorable with a private little balcony attached. The staff were super attentive and helpful, and we especially loved the complimentary breakfast, drinks, and wine and cheese hour! If we're in the area again, we wouldn't stay anywhere else! Highly recommend

Yelp
I was really looking forward to this stay. Arrived exhausted from east coast. Dominique is the best thing this place has in its favor... The room was really a disappointment. Room 8 is up the steps and facing Channel Road. A " deluxe king" ? not so much. It was sooo noisy all night that getting any sleep was impossible. Not sure if it was a Harley convention or an all night muffler- free road rally but bottom line: if you need a good night's sleep for even a minute, get a room in the BACK! ugh and ugh Heather, the breakfast master, made a great breakfast. As far as a welcoming person, not so much. If Dominique could be there 24/7 it would improve the rating. Felt like Heather did not want to be there. Felt totally dismissed by Heather, and will not return. Nothing I did should have warranted her unwelcoming behavior. The only enthusiam she exhibited was giving me my very overpriced bill to sign! Bottom line: $ 450 for a claustrophopic, hot, noisy Room #8 up three sad flights of stairs. I cannot, in good conscience recommend this place. At all.. PS What's with the barking dogs (German shepherd-ish)ALL night? I am a huge animal lover, but seriously!? PETA needs a visit- ASAP!

Yelp
This inn is in a beautiful area in Santa Monica, it's very close to the beach. I stayed here during the early days of COVID, so it was challenging. Yet, the staff did their best to accommodate guests. I am rating it 4 stars because l had plumbing issues with the bathtub, and the pillows were not very comfortable. I have to thank the staff for assisting guests during this challenging time in the world.

Yelp
Place was great! Originally from the East Coast, so the entire cape cod vibe had me feeling like I was at home. The inn keeper, Ms. Diane was great! Very nice, very friendly, and VERY kind. She knows customer service! And as someone who managed a call center for 9.5 years, a great person w/ a great personality can make the biggest difference!

Yelp
Great location. Big room and bathroom. Clean.Mattress is a bit uncomfortable. Lovely breakfast and people. We would come back in a heartbeat.

Yelp
Favorite Inn of all time! Don't really even want to share my thoughts about the Channel Road Inn because I believe it's the best kept secret in California. I was a guest over the weekend and it was my third visit since 2007 (price FYI only $25 more since from for trip). Walking distance from the beach, clean, free parking, perfect breakfast, wine and cheese, quaint, helpful staff and snuggly, stunning and anyone, yes anyone from your snobbiest friend to your most laid back friend would feel at home here. In fact my 24 year old daughter and I kept referring to the Inn as home instead of the hotel during I stay. My favorite part is the location. Takes minutes to walk to the beach and to start your day with a walk along the ocean is incredible. Also it's easy access to multiple highways making anything from Malibu, Venice, Getty Museum close and even Hollywood within reach. Shout out to Dominique the amazing and beautiful hostess and inn keeper , been there for all three of my trips. See you again soon, I hope to be back. My happy place!

Yelp
Quiet and lovely location. Has the potential to be very charming. Amenities and upgrades do not match the price. Most disappointingly, the service is disorganized and lacks polish. Doesn't have a very friendly feel based on my one night there. You can see an alternate dimension where it would be worth the price and slight hassle. They just haven't cracked the code yet.

Yelp
I booked a room at the Channel Road Inn when I learned that my usual Santa Monica hotel had no rooms available. My mistake was to click on the link for the cheapest possible room. The room that we got smelled bad (mildew, cat urine?) and was incredibly tiny. Had that been the end of the story, this would have been a 1-star review. After our first night, I inquired about moving, explaining that I didn't like the room. Our innkeeper upgraded us to the most expensive room for no additional charge! The expensive room (cheap for us) was beyond nice. It was super-comfortable. It allowed me to appreciate the communal plusses of staying here: free parking, WiFi everywhere, a good breakfast, extras like snacks in the late afternoon, and more. When we were here, it was cold and rainy. Sitting in front of the roaring fireplace in the communal living room made us feel whole again. I especially appreciated that the breakfast buffet began at a reasonable hour -- 7:30AM. In fact, breakfast components are put out on the table as soon as they're ready, so it's quite easy to get coffee and toast (let's say) before the official hour of the morning meal. As you may know from my other reviews, I'm not a big fan of B&Bs. This place avoided the worst excesses of the genre (even if there were about 10 pounds of pillows on our bed). The inn is located a few blocks west of the famous staircase that links West Channel to Adelaide. During the day, you'll find lots of runners bounding up the stairs as fast as possible and then walking gently down back to West Channel. It's a very intense workout.

Yelp
I've stayed at a lot of B&Bs and historical homes all over California and many are hit or miss. Sometimes, the decor and the style of service can be so over-the-top that it's a turnoff for vacationers. What's refreshing about CRI is that you have a consistently good experience from one stay to the next. The rooms really make you feel like you're in your own little oasis. Highlights of the B&B Include: *Well-appointed, comfortable and tastefully decorated rooms (not 1890s grandma) *Comfortable beds, clean rooms, fire places, loyalty card - get one! *Private balconies and plenty of fresh ocean breezes in the room *Fresh chocolate-chip cookies upon check-in and 5 PM hors de oeuvres and wine *Hot tub onsite, Free beach cruiser rental + B&B is close to PCH and the beach *Rooms are quiet considering the B&B is near some noisy traffic *Free Wi-Fi, tons of TV stations/DVDs and books if you want to stay in the room *Common areas: central, semi-private, with little alcoves for eating and resting Opportunities for Improvement: *Consistently high price, even during off-season (we paid $269/ for the small room) *Unable to turn off bright lights just outside the room (stuff a towel under the door) *Lack of decent dining within walking distance No B&B is perfect, but if you are willing to part with the cash and you want to stay near the coast in Santa Monica, CRI is worth your time and money.

Yelp
Best hidden secret. The staff was lovely. Diana went above and beyond. The wine and cheese basket and breakfast were delicious. The room was perfect and the bed was comfortable. It's a 5 minute walk to the ocean, yet it's a quiet location. I felt they did an excellent job taking Covid precautions. We will definitely be back.

Sunny B.

Yelp
Attitude of of the lady that checked us in was awful. Thanks Rachel. Completely unwelcoming. We've stayed here and at other Four Sisters Inns before. I've never experienced such a lack of hospitality. Cut me off on the phone. Harsh demeanor on check in. Wow. And it's my birthday- not even a "Happy Birthday". We will never be back. So many other beautiful places to stay in Santa Monica. "Breakfast" is really just continental breakfast plus a warm egg dish to cut and serve to yourself. For 300+ per night, I'd expect higher quality customer service. And a higher quality room. Please check out the photos I've shared.

Yelp
Wonderful and Worst B&B I've stayed in. The Wonderful: Beautiful Vintage home. Excellent staff. Sumptuous beds, linens and bath towels. Tasty breakfast and plenty of space in the home to find a cozy spot to eat or read. The Bombastically Painful: Our room was the petite suite which (unknown to us until 6:30am) was located next to the kitchen. Once the chef entered the kitchen, the possibility of any further sleep was impossible. Plates clanking while being stacked, silverware rattling, food being chopped and the closing of drawers and cabinets like battering rams against our adjoining wall...it was absurdly LOUD. I was exhausted from my previous 3 days of wedding festivities and just needed the luxury of sleeping-in till maybe 8 or 9am. When one has only a couple of days post-wedding to zip away with the wife, one expects a little more from an Inn described as a "relaxing haven". After two mornings of waking to this 1812 overture of a sunrise cacophony, I couldn't wait to get us back to our home in the valley. ( and no one ever says that...) There really should be a disclaimer on their website for this room. Just call it the "early riser" room or " Guess what the chef is doing now" room. Maybe "petite" refers to the sleep one gets in it? Oh well, hoping this review helps someone else avoid a similar experience.

Yelp
This b&b is absolutely amazing!! We can already tell it will be one of our favourite places so far! The rooms are clean and stunning. We have a large bathroom and balcony. The service given to us by Holly, Heather & Dominique was exceptional!! If we could we would have left a large tip!!!!! Oh and the food was amazing! Breakfast was a large array of fruits, cereal/musli, coffee/tea, eggs/frittata and yoghurt! Yum!! Very very happy and could not recommend more!

Yelp
The main reason we picked this place is for the location and so we could explore the beach area and Pier on the promised bikes. When we took the bikes out the first day, the chain kept coming off my daughter's bike and I needed to replace it three times. Then the next day, the three bikes (there are only three bikes and its first come first serve) were all taken. On our third and final day we could not use the bikes because they were being serviced and staff told us to go rent them at Perry's. We walked half a mile to find Perry's and still did not arrive, so walked back and just ended up leaving the hotel. The other complaint we had was the room was not ready at the 3:00 check-in time, which was a drag after our long drive and it was noisy being right on the road.

Yelp
We had such an enjoyable stay over the weekend! So pleased by this hidden gem the beach. Great service, clean and quite, perfect location next to the SM pier, walking distance to the beach, parking on site, quaint and beautiful cottage. Great size room with a huge bathroom with a large sized jacuzzi. Would like to emphasize the amazing service we received. Such friendly staff and made us feel like home. Dominique was so welcoming and friendly. We really love this place and would highly recommend it if you are looking for a great Inn to stay by the beach in Santa Monica.

Yelp
I liked this inn very much. It took me a bit to acclimate to as I typically stay at one of Santa Monica's top hotels. It's just a different vibe. Once I acclimated, I loved the charm and soul of the house. The inn is away from the hubbub but there are a few really good non tourist restaurants within a 2 minute walk. The beach is very close. The management and staff is super friendly and professional in a comforting way. My room had everything I needed, including a dozen red roses left over from wedding! Nice touch. The bed was very comfortable and cozy. The suite I was in was immaculate and well appointed. Lots of windows and bright. The breakfast was delicious and well provisioned. If I had any suggestion at all, it would be for the inn to add a few more bicycles to the fleet. Overall a lovely stay. I will definitely choose this property for my next visit.

Yelp
This is our favoriye B&B. We've stayed here at least 10 times. The staff is wonderful! The rooms are so comfortable and beautiful. The food is delicious. We love the fireplace and breakfasts on the porch and inside dining areas.

Yelp
We stayed here for one night before an early flight out of LAX. Pros: One block from the beach, VERY convenient access to LAX, free delicious cookies in your room upon arrival, great personal service, and close to the Santa Monica Pier. Cons: Our queen room was pretty small, the bed was a bit firm and there are no individual temperature controls for the rooms. The street noise was pretty bad, but it is LA. There is no elevator to the third floor- not a con really, but FYI.

Yelp
Built in 1915, this charming B&B features a lot of original details in both the public spaces and guest quarters. All rooms have cable TV and a VCR, telephone with data ports, and private baths with plush robes. A well-stocked library has plenty of books for those looking for a good beach read and videos if you're the type to stay in at night. Bicycles are available if you want to take advantage of the path that meanders for miles along the Pacific. Rates, starting at $195, are as high as you might pay at some downtown properties, but include a full breakfast, afternoon tea and cookies, and wine and cheese in the evening. Ideal for a romantic weekend getaway if you're not on a strict budget.

Yelp
Lovely bed and breakfast in Santa Monica. Parking is right behind the Inn - and the breakfast is actually pretty good. I loaded up with a plate piled high with fruit. Other notes: - They give you cookies when you arrive - really cute. - Bed is very comfortable. - They have wine and cheese hour in the afternoon/evening - Bathroom was clean, shower was quite nice. - Close to the beach BUT you can't really walk there very easily from the Inn - Not many choices in terms of restaurants to walk to - The Hungry Cat restaurant is HORRIBLE (it is walking distance - avoid it) Overall, we had a delightful stay there.

Yelp
I absolutely loved my stay at the Channel Road Inn. Me and my boyfriend stayed here for two nights while cruising the California Coast. The room was so comfortable (note: we aren't the fancy hotel type, we like quiet and casual) it felt like we were staying in the guest room of a wealthy accommodating relative. The perks we enjoyed: A large comfortable king size bed A fantastic home cooked breakfast with plenty of options (sundried tomato and sage egg souffle with cherry coffee cake...YUM!) So close to the beach and a quick beach bike ride to 3rd street or the pier for shopping (note: they have free beach cruisers for guest use) Wine and cheese in the afternoon after your return from your daily doings A wide array of classic movies to play in your room Oh and homemade chocolate chip cookies when you arrive...just lovely!

Yelp
My wife and I just stayed 3 days and two nights at the Channel Inn Bed and Breakfast and had a wonderful time! We stayed in the Spa Suite and had lots of room including a living room area with a sofa and two chairs. The bed was a four pedestal high rise bed which almost needed a stepping stool to climb up! Breakfast was good but not the best. Real good coffee had Quiche each morning. Where's the beef!? Had fresh fruit and juice and pastries. Location is really good just a short few minute walk to the beach. But about 2 miles to the pier. They offered bicycles to ride but we just up enjoyed the walk. Staff was very attentive to our needs. I think they said they just celebrated their 25 anniversary but the place is still in great shape. I would recommend staying and we would stay again too.

Yelp
This is a lovely place. We stayed in the Economy Queen Room. It is a small room but it is in the back of the house so it has lots of privacy. The bed was comfortable. The shower worked well and the towels were soft. The evening snacks are great. I liked that breakfast was served buffet "come when you like" style, since I am not an early riser. They served a variety of food, except meat, that was all delicious. The food was so good that you probably wouldn't miss the bacon much. It is a quick walk to the beach to witness a beautiful sunrise or sunset. I would stay here again.

Yelp
Very quaint inn by the beach in Santa Monica. We stayed there as we were visiting family near by and loved our little get away. The room and furnishings were comfortable and helped us to enjoy a good night sleep. We were concerned how close to a busy road we were, but when the windows and doors were closed, we could not hear a thing outside. Very restful stay that we would gladly recommend to friends.

Yelp
Food - 5 stars Rooms - 4 stars Hospitality - 5 stars Parking - 1 star This place is great overall. It is located fairly close to the highway but a little hard to find. It's tucked away on Channel Rd which is easily mixed up with the street over. The parking is a nightmare - we got in at 8 or 9 p.m. or later every night and we had to wedge our car into the tiniest spots. Compact cars should adhere to the compact car designated spaces. The breakfast is delicious - some of the food is even left out for a bit after the breakfast is formally closed. This helps the late goers get a quick bite! The cheese and wine every night is great - definitely very appreciated. Lots of selection. The rooms themselves were very cute. The beds were fairly comfortable. Unfortunately, we had Room 2 and it was right by the main stairway so we heard everyone get up and go downstairs in the morning. There was a large gap between the door and the floor so we had to cover it with a towel to keep some noise out. The bathrooms were fairly clean but the windows are a little difficult to close. They provide shampoo, conditioner and body wash - definitely a very nice touch. It seemed a little over priced for the location and the noise. Overall, we would try to find something a little closer to Santa Monica next time and maybe walking distance from some of the attractions. However, great little bed and breakfast overall!

Yelp
We traveled as a young family and where looking for a relaxing and quiet spot in the big city and are very happy we found it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and cozy and the age of the house rather adds to his charm then to any impediment. We liked our stay very much and will definitely recommend to come here again.
