EDITED REVIEW -
after I posted this, the owner of the shop Jacob reached out and explained that sometimes the dry bits on an aged steak causes an upset stomach. He also made a point of getting my info and dropping a replacement steak, which he definitely did not have to do. It was a really lovely approach and although it took a negative review, a business that’s willing to admit to an error and go above and beyond in making it right, deserves a better review and a return trip later on 🙂

They sold me a bad cut of aged prime rib for $66. It gave me food poisoning. I don’t like leaving bad reviews so I emailed them about it and respectfully brought it up. But they said that cut is not best for a steak, I should’ve cooked it differently, and told me to come back for a more expensive option. That made no sense because I had told them why I wanted it and they even gave me a sheet explaining “how to reverse sear a steak” when I bought it. I was surprised that instead of addressing my concerns they were telling me I should’ve know better and should spend more money.
