Brilliant! Very professional service, delicious food (traditional French cuisine at it’s best really 👌🏻). Lively atmosphere, beautiful people … FAR beyond my (high) expectations (as a French foodie working in the industry)!! . A big MERCI for this joyful delicious moment. Will come back for sure. ❤️

My Airbnb host recommended this restaurant, which was just a very short walk. It is a fantastic restaurant. The food was incredible, and the service was friendly, attentive, and perfect. Don’t miss the Pavlova for dessert. It took a while to prepare, but it was well worth the wait. It was like something from heaven. I plan to go back again before I leave Paris. I highly recommend this restaurant. Don’t miss it.

Our first time in Paris, having been stranded with a cancelled flight earlier, we decided to make a night of it. Chantefable is a lovely neighborhood bistro which is exactly what we were after, versus trendy IG spot. They also offer hot stone filet!! The 300g filet was unreal, the stone it cooked on stayed plenty hot throughout the process. My wife and I split the steak which was perfect for us two along with a few other items. Deviled eggs, Caesar salad, baguette, filet, and some beer & wine. Not bad for 18hrs in Paris, cannot wait to come back.

Google
My favorite french restaurant in Paris 🖤 Especially atmosphere and kind staffs! It’s not tourist vibe, more about neighborhood vibe! Today’s recommendation always great and fresh here. Free potato peel chips + red wine are amazing!

Great authentic spot! I tried frog legs and snails for the first time, and they were absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The restaurant is away from touristy areas, which I loved, and the vibe felt genuinely French. Service was fantastic, and the prices were reasonable. Highly recommend!

The best food, the best wine and most of all the sweetest waitress in Paris: Sandra! Chantefable has become our favourite restaurant in Paris, every time we visit from Amsterdam, we have to visit and enjoy

Yelp
If you are looking for a place where the locals hang out and eat good French food this is it. Typical Parisian setting on a corner packed into an odd shaped floor plan. Wait staff was very French but spoke reasonable English which made up for my terrible French. Our waiter was working hard and keeping it all together. It's eclectic as hell but very fun and packed at lunch. You can't go wrong here. Food was well done in both taste, simple flavors, and presentation.

Yelp
This is my cousin's favorite place in her neighborhood. The staff took pity on me and offered a menu in English, which made things a lot easier. I've eaten here many times and consistently enjoyed it. Wonderful oysters and a wide range of French cuisine.

Yelp
Had no plan for dinner one Sunday and happened to be in this neighborhood close to my hotel. It looked like a picture post card of a Paris bistro from 1953, so let's do it. Being solo I had a slightly out of the way table, which I understand, and the service was curt, but efficient. Ordered the duck breast main and glass of Pomerol wine plus bread and some kind of crisps. The duck was good with a light fruity sauce, but the gratin dauphinois potatoes were out of this world! Wow! If I return that gratin is on my list! Bon appetit ... zig

Yelp
Again, as we are in the east side of town on business, we were not in a touristy area, but thoroughly enjoyed this bistro. Location - 5 star - Walking distance from the Gambetta Metro Stop, this place is convenient to get to! Seating - 4 star -Outdoor, Covered Awning, indoor. We started outdoor with drinks and moved to inside for our table. The inside was very warm considering it was cold outside. Outside was total nice, and we would have stayed, but it was a bit too cold for us. Service - 4 star Excellent. A host of waiters and waitress were always nearby to help us in any language! Very cool. The Food - 4 Star a. Plateau Fruits De Mer - This seafood platter was amazing! Size of a garbage can lid with a host of iced cooked seafood. Clams, Mussels, Shrimp, Crab, Oysters, Sea Snails, Amazingly all very good. b. Planche Boucher or Butcher plate - What happened to nouvelle cuisine? That large plate with a smidgen of food. This was a wood plate filled with a huge steak,, fries and veggies. Good, tasty, filling and huge! c. Magret De Canard - Couple of friends had this and they loved this breast of duck, although when i was spying on it, it seemed a bit "oily". d. Tartare de boeuf - Of course I had the raw beef. It is amazingly fantastic, never get sick or bacteria, but a really nice, spicy dish with the raw egg. This breaks every law in states, but it is an amazing dish! This place has great service, is cozy and friendly. Very casual. We enjoyed it so much we came back again! GK says, if you are in the neighborhood, check it out.

Yelp
This is where the locals go! Not a cliche', this place is the real thing in terms food and ambiance. I've been here with Parisians as well as business dinners. Recommend making the trip out here for a real experience.

Yelp
This was our first meal when we arrived in Paris and oh my, it was absolutely divine. For some odd reason, we were under the impression that the French were rude and hated their lives, but at Chantefable, we were received (mostly) warmly and were given incredible dishes we oohed, ahh'd, and ooh la la'd at. We ordered the steak tartare and duck confit--both classic French dishes we were looking forward to trying in Paris. The duck confit was served with the most heavenly roasted potatoes ever. Seriously, the best potatoes I've ever had in my life. So simple, rustic, beautiful and oh so tasty. Roasted potato slices tossed in butter, herbs, spices and I believe garlic- to die for! This was definitely a 5 star side dish! The duck confit wasn't bad either- tender with a slightly crispy skin. My husbands steak tartare was topped with the traditional egg yolk and was perfectly textured. However, the ketchup flavor was a bit overwhelming and masked the flavor of the quality beef. We were too stuffed for dessert so I opted for a glass of cab, but we're definitely hitting this place up again before we head out of Paris. Such delicious food and wonderful service.

Yelp
Delicious food. This is a large restaurant in the 20th arrondisement that is popular with the locals. The menu is only in French, the staff does not speak English, and you won't find any tourists here. It seems only locals know about this treasure of a restaurant. Our family of 4 enjoyed everything we ordered - andouillette sausage, duck confit, etc. The food was good. My only concern was with the service - although our waiter was very nice to us, all the other patrons who arrived after us got served their meals and left, while we waited for quite a long time for our food to be served. That was not pleasant to watch. Regardless, the food was good.
