I am writing to formally express my disappointment with how my recent stay was handled and to urge management to properly train staff to resolve issues efficiently and respectfully, instead of leaving guests waiting without solutions and guests have to think by themselve. I checked in on 16th, with the official check-in time at 2:00 PM. Prior to my booking, I emailed the hotel to ask whether early check-in was possible, but I received no response at all and it was fine. However, the real issue occurred the following morning. At approximately 7:15 AM, the entire Level 6 experienced a blackout. I initially remained patient, assuming it was a temporary power trip. After 15 minutes with no power restored, I opened my door and noticed another guest using his phone flashlight to find his access card to enter his room. He informed me that the lower floors still had electricity. We both went to the reception at around 7.30 AM to report the issue. Please note that I had to leave for work at 8:00 AM+, so time was extremely important. The receptionist contacted someone (possibly a manager or maintenance), but no immediate solution was offered. We were told it would “take some time” to fix, yet no estimated time was given, and no room change was offered initially. We were then asked to wait on the same affected floor despite the ongoing blackout. After waiting for over 30 minutes, I had no choice but to pack my belongings and request a room change, as I needed to prepare for work. Only after repeatedly asking, the receptionist agree to change rooms. At this point, the situation became completely unacceptable. The receptionist came with only one access card and informed me that need to share a room with another male guest whom I do not know, simply because he was also affected by the blackout. I was shocked and extremely disturbed by this suggestion. I immediately raised my voice and made it very clear: This man is not my family member He is not my brother He is a complete stranger How can your staff member gave me this solution and i made it very clear that i want a separate room, why would i share room with stranger ? Unbelievable! This suggestion was entirely inappropriate and unacceptable This reflects a serious lack of basic human decency, professionalism, and guest safety awareness. I strongly urge management to: 1. Properly train staff on problem solving and guest handling 2. Ensure female guest safety and privacy are taken seriously 3. Teach staff to offer immediate and appropriate alternatives during emergencies 4. Improve communication and response time, especially during critical situations This experience caused unnecessary stress, frustration, and inconvenience, especially when I was already short on time due to work commitments. I expect this matter to be taken seriously and addressed accordingly.
