Chaos Sandwiches

July 2025: Open hours here on Google Maps and on restaurant website are not accurate. We have found Chaos Sandwiches to be closed before 2:30 pm on weekdays with a sign reading "sold out" twice in a row. Summer 2024: One of my top favorite restaurants in Silver City! Consistently delicious and affordably-priced large sandwiches that come with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The Classic, Trigger and Grass Grazer are favorites. Eating in, tables are small but clean and service is professional. To go, orders are accurate and prepared quickly. We find ourselves looking forward to Chaos Sandwiches every time we visit Silver City!

The gluten-free options are salads; they don't offer gluten-free bread. That being said, as sick as I am of eating salads, what we ordered was out of this world! I was even more impressed when I found out that they make their own honeymustard dressing!!! We will definitely be back!

Chaos Sandwiches changed my life. After eating the Hacksaw sandwich I went back to school, got a good paying job, and bought a new (to me) Honda Civic. I am about ready to put a downpayment on a new home and am seriously looking into the laws in New Mexico as they pertain to marrying a sandwich.

This sandwich was YUM- good veggie option and a veggie salad too- 12$ for good size sandwich with chips to go was a good deal- loaded with roasted veggies and good flavoring! I highly recommend!! Located behind the gas station shopping area- just march on over! Staff was friendly and engaging and keeping place clean- many people came in to order which I take, means this is the place to go if you want something good!

I should have taken a picture if the sandwich but instead just ate it all 😀. I tried the "Turkey Run" it was one of the best sandwiches I ever had. Very big also, I didnt think I would be able to finish it, but I did

Delicious sandwich. Great customer service. Efficient and good. I got the Trigger. They added a generous layer of yummy bacon. Ingredients are great. I would recommend. My reson for the 4 star was solely due to the prices,but it's 2024.

Crazy high prices only for the bread to have more flavor than the rest of the sandwich. Also got coleslaw that was brown and tastes old. Also took them 15 minutes to throw a half sandwich together. Never going back. Food is not worth the price. $17 for only half a sandwich, small side that was old, and a bottled soda.

I thought subway was my go to sandwich until two months ago when I first tried this place ! I shake my head no no no when eating it cause it’s too good to be true ! Tried to replicate at home and couldn’t ! The owner and staff are amazing on top of the one of a kind sandwiches are 5 star all day! Thank you for giving this little town even more treasures ! Try them you will not be disappointed!

Place is okay. The grass eater sandwich could use a sauce or something. The green Chile grilled cheese was pretty decent. Seems like this place could benefit from some good sauces/aioli

Great sandwiches and service. All sandwiches come with random bags of chips but the friendly server will trade them out if desired. The ambience is low key and satisfactory but the server's upbeat personality makes the place warm and inviting. Would definitely return if in Silver City.

We stopped in after reading all the good reviews. Our food was awesome! We had the switchback and chupacabra sandwiches. Both were so good and such big portions. The service was fast and pleasant. Will definitely stop in again if we are ever in Silver City.

My favorite place to stop in Silver City, amazing food and great service. I have tried 6+ sandwiches and all have been amazing! The ambiance is heightened by the random thing on the TV, truly so much fun to go in and see everyone enjoying themselves. I love chaos! Fave sandwich in town!!!

Waited 45 minutes for a salad that never came out. No communication from staff. Eventually had to leave with no food

Good was great. I had the classic sandwich and my husband had a salad. Both were delicious! Friendly people working there. The ambiance isn't great, but the food is. Recommend it.

Yesterday, after spending time at City of Rocks State Park, we went to Chaos Sandwiches for lunch. We arrived about 2:00 (about an hour before closing) and found out that a lot of the hot sandwich selections were no longer available (Sold Out). That could have been a very good sign because they were very busy. The chicken salad sandwich, the ham sandwich, the grass grazer sandwich (veggie) and the grilled cheese sandwich were all delicious. When we were about to leave after eating, the owner gave me a total refund for my portion of the meal because of the longer than normal wait. I didn't want to accept the refund because I didn't consider it an extraordinarily long wait and the food was good. He refused my offer to pay for my meal. I really appreciate his sincerity for great service.

The sandwiches WERE BOMB! The service ! And the cheesecake was to DIIIEEEE FORRR (forgot to take a picture but big slice for a great price). The flavors in these sandwiches are out of the box and delicious!!! We will come back anytime we're in silver city. It's to the right of a gas station store, so we missed it the first time, but it was so worth turning around. The inside is not fancy, but clean and plenty of space! 11/10!

Don't let the appearance from the parking lot fool you. There's great things inside. The Hacksaw sandwich was delicious with great flavor. The Antidote shrimp salad was heaped with veggies and lettuce. Great service and friendly. Lots to try next time. Excellent choice.

Best sandwich I've ever eaten I ordered the AK on sourdough. I'm from Las Cruces and had come to Silver for work so was just trying to find something quick . The shop is attached to the side of a gas station which made me think it wasn't going to be promising, but I was wrong!! The two gentlemen working were laid back and friendly. I got my order quickly and they made sure my order was right. My only regret about eating from this place is that now I am going to crave it

Didn't go in the shop hubby picked it up and brought it back to our Airbnb. So no other photos but the one of the sandwich. We went to silver city back in Sept. I'm A little behind in my reviews. (Covers face..) Anyways! The Sandwich was very tasty enjoyed it very much, only comment would be as a vegetarian I really appreciate sandwich shops that have meat substitutes. I think the sandwich would be elevated by maybe some vegetarian chicken or something of that nature. It was not very filling and I was hungry again about an hour or so later. They came with a side of potato chips. They were perfectly salty and just the right amount of crunch. My husband got a sandwich too but ate it too fast for me to take a picture. Lol but he like it. Not sure if I would return only for the fact I was still hungry after and it didn't fill me up.

Sincerely delicious from the bread to the care in crafting sandwich ingredients that make them sing to you. It's delectable. I got a grilled veggie sandwich thinking "well it will be healthy". It's "The Grass grazer". It's simply the best vegetable sand which I've ever had..a lil cheese, some special mayo but stacked high and filling. The red peppers make it. Wow. Wife got the classic and son Cubano. Again great. Go!!! We order out to take to Gila Monument with us. A treat for sure.

Don't judge this place, harshly by the exterior. I got an excellent sandwich here this afternoon after hiking 7 miles, and it was so big that I ate half of it and only ate the other half a few hours later.

I've been here a few times while traveling for work to Silver City. This is a great local place for a quick service meal with quality food. I hate going to chains for mediocre food and am always excited when something local like this exists. They work well for vegetarians like myself, with a very large sandwich full of sliced grilled vegetables, tasty sauce, and some cheese. Vegans would have to check if the bread is vegan if the cheese and probably sauce are removed or substituted. My meat-eating coworkers always enjoy their sandwiches as well.

I walked from Canada to Mexico, and this was the best sandwich, and possibly the best meal, I had the entire way. If Chaos were in any major city, it would have a line around the block every lunchtime and they would have to start turning people away as they ran out of food.

I just had the best Bacon sandwich I've had in my life. And I'm old! All delicious food. Nice people. Eat in not fancy but clean. Outside casual eating. Take out, of course. I highly recommend Chaos food and service.

I was visiting from Phoenix and I'm thrilled that I found Chaos. The shop was clean and customer service was attentive and quick. But the sandwich...it was incredible! The Classic has 11 ingredients, and the boys layered it carefully on a fresh bread that held it together. I'll be back in a couple of months and recommend it to others in the meantime. The Chaos is having fun with their sandwiches. Can't wait to explore more of your menu!

Omg go here! The business shares a space with a gas station don't let that scare you. It's completely separated and you don't see the people from the gas station. I am all for shared spaces and recycled spaces. Fresh and so yummy. I had the power bowl it had roasted veggies, slaw and wonder greens. Hubby has special half a sandwich, side and chips. It's so great to see a sandwich with beautiful rich colors. The Real reason you should come,though, Is for the homemade cheesecake 0MG OMG green chili cheese cake and raspberry chipotle' is so good. It's a New Mexico thing. The spice was a very delicate flavoring that sung on the palette. Share one go off your diet a little you just ate a healthy meal. Outdoor seating has shade at lunch and drive through. Would drive out of my way to go here again.

Terrific sandwiches and service. Quant little shop, not too busy. I had the Cubano, always on the lookout for a great cuban, it was decent.

Amazing food and fantastic hospitality! This establishment is clearly run with a lot of love and care. My group ordered the classic sandwich, the mule shoes, the cubano, the chicken avocado soup, and a side of Mac n cheese. We shared everything and absolutely loved it all. Particular favorites were the classic and the Mac n cheese (tip - get a side of green chili and mix it into the mac). One of the co-owners (Jacob I believe) took fantastic care of us and it's clear that his friendly and helpful demeanor are a draw to frequenting the establishment in addition to the delicious food. We are from out of town and passing through Silver City, but if we're ever back in town, we will absolutely be enjoying another meal at Chaos Sandwiches.

We were on a long drive and needed a quick stop for food. I was looking for something other than fast food whenI found this wonderful sandwich shop on Yelp. I was VERY impress to find a plant based option for one of our travelers in a mom and pop sandwich shop. It was very hearty and delicious. I would absolutely eat here any time I am headed through Silver City. Thanks Chaos

Great place to eat. There sandwiches are big a d have fresh veggies. And be sure to have the cheesecake it's amazing A bit pricey but great quality

I got the classic sandwich Sandwich: 9/10 Mac and cheese: 10/10 House salad: 9/10 Tea: 10/10 Chips (claim se salt): -1/10 The chips so bland

We came randomly because we were starving, but did not expect such an outstanding sandwich shop in a little town! It's hard to find quick, nutritional and delicious food on a road trip. So glad we stopped! My daughter had the special "Antidote salad" which she barely would share with me. It was perfect! My son had the Artemis sandwich. I couldn't make a better sandwich myself. Super friendly staff. Do not miss a chance to check this place out!! Kudos to the owners!

Came to town really fast and needed a healthy place to eat. Found Chaos and was super excited. The menu has lots of great sandwiches, salads and other items. Got the Grass Grazer which has all vegetables. It was amazing. All the veggies were fresh and complemented each other very well. The bread and cheese were also very good and tied it all together. I'll be back when I come to town.

Good but overpriced ! The owners and staff have NO MANNERS and are equally deficient in personality !

Love the convenience of this spot being near a gas station. I drove into town for work and quickly found this amazing restaurant. Ordered the Puzzler Sandwich in the morning and had to come back again on my way home in the afternoon for take-out. Ate a Classic Sandwich on their patio and took another Classic & Artemis Sandwich to go! Really love their staff, very friendly and I see they have a simple online ordering menu. They also have curbside contactless payments and a drive-thru! Definitely coming here next time I'm near to try their cheesecakes everyone keeps talking about.

5 star all around. Don't be fooled by the small sandwich shop next to a gas station. Sandwiches are huge and delicious. Service is friendly. Place orders at the counter and they bring to table. They do more takeout than eat in so seating area is small but very clean. On a 10 day trip to Silver City we ate here twice. 1st time husband and I shared the Artemis and the AK. 2nd time we shared the Hacksaw and the Chupacabra. All different. All yummy. Highly recommend.

All their sandwiches and salads are made with the freshest veggies , not to mention the serving size is enough for two servings. And the staff and owners are very friendly. This is must for a delicious lunch or maybe even breakfast cuz the breakfast sandwiches are also a must have!

Stopped here after hiking on the Catwalk trail. Read the great reviews and decided to try it. The food was excellent! I had the Cubano, spouse had the Chupacabra and my brother had the Hacksaw. Sandwiches were very large and came with chips :) We weren't sure we could eat it all, but once we tasted the deliciousness, we didn't stop 'til every last crumb was gone! Excellent service and very clean......please stop by and try it, you will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back!

Cool place. I'd does not look like much from the outside. Don't be scared. Go on in and order a Sammy. Everything was super unique and some different combos .This place is definitely a local mom and pop shops. I had a brisket sandwich with ghost pepper Mac and Cheese. The bread was super soft and delicious. The sandwich was good. Prices were decent for a custom craft sandwich. My friend had the hacksaw. He said is was delicious, but spicy from the hatch Chile. If you wander into Silver City. Eat here for lunch.

Great tasting sandwiches and excellent service. They flawlessly organized our 10 sandwich and salad order, which made it easy to give out at our meeting. The brownies were a hit! Thank you for providing us with yummy sandwiches and superb service.

Wow. Great sandwiches. We had a hacksaw and a 50 cal. Both were fantastic. The service was great. The tables were clean and it was quiet. There was a steady stream of people coming for lunch.

Damn good sandwich! Got the Hacksaw and friend got the Grass Grazer. Had to go twice while we're on vacation! The toasted bread was large. Both sandwiches were the bomb! Will be back!

Excellent sandwiches. You order up at the counter and they bring it to your table. Cubano was very good. So was the turkey. Friendly service. Not open on Sundays, to our disappointment. We wanted to get sandwiches again the next day and bring them with us on our hike to the Catwalk Recreational Area in the Gila National Forrest. Oh well.

THE BEST BREAKFAST SANDWICH YOU'LL EVER HAVE. I got the Mule Shoe without cheese and it was amazing. Would be even better with cheese, but still... Great place, friendly owner, this is definitely a business you wanna support!

I ordered the chicken avocado soup and the classic sandwich. Soup was too salty. Sandwich was ok. Better than Subway. It is better because the classic has a lot of sprouts and avocado which I like. Sandwich was just ok but I will still go back to try out their salad and other sandwiches.

CDT HIKERS- STOP HERE! Hiker-sized portions. By far the beat veggie sandwich I've ever had outside of our own kitchen. Incredibly friendly service and so much care regarding food allergies! What a hidden gem!

Definitely recommend this place!! Online ordering was super easy to navigate for our takeout order. Unfortunately, when we got there it took quite a while for our order to be ready. They were clearly swamped and doing their best to be timely while ensuring quality was maintained. The gentleman that handled our order was awesome and kept a great attitude throughout. He was genuinely apologetic for the delay and added complementary desserts for our time. The sandwiches were amazing (The Classic, Chupacabra, and Cubano) and the Madder Cow salad was fresh and delicious. The PB&J cheesecake was a new flavor for us and it did not disappoint. If you're looking for a great sandwich, salad, soup, cheesecake---this is the place to try! We are not local, but we will be back again on our next visit to town.

Tasty and hearty sandwiches. Power bowl was so green and healthy, really hit the spot. Only complaint was that the bread was black and burnt on one side.
