"Flat Bread with Spice Black Tea Chapati & Karak, located by the mosque at Katara Cultural Village, offers no -frills outdoor seating, and a Qatari version of a drive-thru service, which consists in many locals driving up to the tea stall, honking the horn and waiting for their order to be delivered to the car. Chapati (plain or sweet flat bread) and Karak (spicy black tea with condensed milk, cardamom and ginger) are both part of the traditional Indian cuisine that made it to Qatar more than fifty years ago, but have become part of the Qatari culinary identity. Chapati & Karak is a great spot to stop by after walking around Katara, or after dinner, or just because. The karak is so good and the chapatti so delicious that they had just branched out of Katara to the trendy Knightsbridge area in London - UK."

I was on a business trip with just one night layover in Doha, and a good friend of mine (who’s been living there professionally for a while) insisted on taking me out for a late-night supper. Honestly, I was still full from dinner — but he swore this place was unmissable, so I gave in. And thank goodness I did! We went to Chapati & Karak Cafe, and I was immediately impressed — they even have a drive-through service, which is not something you see often for a café-style setup. We ordered their signature chai tea and something I can’t quite name, but it looked like a rolled chapati with a sweet twist. One bite, one sip — and wow. Absolutely delicious. The tea was rich, aromatic, and comforting, and the chapati-like treat had that perfect balance of texture and sweetness. It's one of those places you’d regret skipping. Cozy, casual, and full of flavor. Next time I’m in Doha, I’m definitely bringing my family here — this gem deserves more than just a quick stop. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a true taste of local favorites!

If you’re here to see the Pigeon Towers, pop by here for a quick Karak and Chapati (literally). Had the cheese chapati and it was good. Was mad enough to sit here in high noon summer ☀️ 🔥 but hey I was not the only one there who braved the heat for the delicious tea and warm fluffy chapati. I suppose cool evenings would be better in terms of comfort and atmosphere.

In the Katara Cultural Village, there’s a small, cozy shop where you place your order at a little booth and wait while sitting in the open area. If there’s a light breeze, it’s very pleasant to sit here. We tried many different varieties, and the cheesy chapati became our favorite. If you’re looking for an affordable snack spot, this is a great option.

A pleasant touch of Qatari culture in the Doha airport. Located in the souk just past C12. Karak is an aromatic masala chai famous in Qatar. The atmosphere is quiet and service was pleasant. When we visited they were busy so allow some time. We tried chicken and kheema along with one sweet chapati with chocolate and honey. All were delicious. If you stay in the airport but would like a little taste of Qatar this is the place.

Wait time is +30 minutes longer than they said to be. They skip my order number multiple times, and people ordered after me got the food much earlier than me. BTW, I got only two things, so small order excuse not working here. I advise you to look for other branches.

Service was really fast even though the place was packed. A great place like this could definitely use some more advertising because it's definitely a good option to have something to drink and eat when visiting Katara. Pretty cheap too. Recommended.

Karak was average and chapati was bad. I love the London branch but you can tell this one is not the same level the Lindon branch is far more superior, tastier, cleaner and top notch
