The location was excellent and the service from the waitstaff was very good. However, the quality of the food did not match the high prices charged. I don’t mind paying for an expensive meal, but I expected a better standard given the cost. Overall, a disappointing dining experience despite the great setting and attentive service.

The best move at Chappies is to have their amazing award winning calamari with a Bombay G and T. Amazing.

Always a good experience at Chapman's Peak Hotel. Location is great. Service and staff is always good. The food is the main reason we go there, the hotel never disappoints. I had the calamari and Portuguese steak combo, it was excellent, calamari grilled to perfection and the steak soft and juicy. The drinks menu is substantial. The food is expensive and I understand why, however, to charge R30.00 for a side portion of chopped chillies does seem expensive, seeing that you are already charged R10.00 per slice of ciabatta. Other than this, it is a great experience and the food is always good.

We found the portions so small and the price so expensive Definitely not worth the money. Our waitress was lovely and the setting is nice. However we were disappointed in the food

Iconic venue overlooking Hout Bay. Best enjoyed on the deck on a sunny day. Good service and food with friendly staff.

Visit with friends for dinner. Food was at best average, and the calamari rings were soaked in old oil. A number of us had the calamari, and it was gross. You could eat the oil with a spoon. By far the worst calamari ever eaten.

Again a very nice dinner and wine, excellent service as well in the restaurant. We would have stayed in the Hotel for 2 nights if it was not for the minimum 3 nights stay. Really sad.

Always a great lunch here. It's a must after driving through Chapmans Peak drive - the calamari is the best in the world!!
