I have used Chappell for clock repair for my mantel clock several times over the years and was always satisfied. Today I needed to have my chain put on my cuckoo clock. THE BEST! From assessment and pick up, to repair and delivery. We could tell the owner worked his way up in the business and treats his team well by the way they all interacted with us. And our broken/inoperative grandfather clock was repaired and restored a month ahead of the estimated timeframe. We actually met the owner who was filling in on the two team pick up, then got to meet the repairer who filled in on the two team drop off. Every person in the process was AWESOME and we trust them completely. I am glad they were recommended to us for our clock. They are our clock family now!

I received superb in-home service on my antique grandfather clock (circa 1760). I am very impressed with the excellent work. It’s been two weeks since the Chappell Jordan team serviced the clock. When I bought the clock from a third party, it was not running at all. This clock is now unbelievably accurate—it has neither lost nor gained time in two weeks. This thing is almost 265 years old! This means that the servicing and clock leveling work was superb. The technician's tutorial on winding and clock care was clear and concise (I'm a first time grandfather clock owner). The pride in the company's work shows. These people know what they are doing.

I took an old clock to them that was owned by my grandparents. My brother in law was going to “fix“it some years back. My sister gave me the clock with a freezer bag full of parts. I took it to them and they told me the clock was made between 1880 and 1910 and was called a kitchen clock. They repaired the clock and did it at the price quoted. Very pleased with them.

My mother needed to have her clock stored during a move. Bernie came to pick up, store and delivered the clock to her new home after the move was complete. It is a delight to experience the passion that Bernie has for what he does. Both Bernie and Joe were patient, kind, knowledgeable and meticulous. We were so happy to have the clock back and we love it more than ever. I had Chappell Jordan come out to my home to repair a Grandfather clock that had stopped chiming and striking. I have never had better service than what was provided by the clock maker Aaron and Joe. While Aaron was cleaning then oiling all the cams, sprockets and levers, after removal from the case, Joe was cleaning the case inside and out. The clock has never been cleaner and it now runs and looks like new. If you need a mantel clock, wall clock or Grandfather clock serviced you will not be disappointed, in fact you will wonder why all service can't be done this way.

Very trusty repairs to clocks of all types from old Grandfather clocks and atmos clocks to more modern time pieces. They carry several colors of the Kit-Kat clocks we have had for decades. When our grandfather clock got out of sync and chimed through the night, I was able to call and get advise over the phone to get the clock back to working order. And I was not charged for the gentleman's time to talk me through the fix.

Spent $733 to repair a clock they told me was worth $2,200. Clock stopped working before the one year warranty was up but I did not take it back within the year. I just wanted to sell them clock. They would only pay $150 for it. Do not support this business.

The two owners have been in the business of clock repairs and sales since 1965, and each of their staff has been with them for years. I went in to find my grandson a playful child's cuckoo clock, and their selection is incredible. Upon making my selection, I found myself wanting to know all about the various new and antique grandfather clocks they were selling.  I felt like I got a history lesson just listening to them tell me the stories of some of the clocks. Amazing! I asked to see the repair shop, and we went back to their building where they repair everything from watches to grandfather clocks. In this amazing space artisans were quietly bent over, each at their own work space bringing life back to the timepieces that they were repairing. I can't say enough about this rare treasure that we have in Houston. They are my go to now when I am looking for a gift for that person who has everything. I went to Chappell Jordan to drop off a clock for repair. The store is a series of rooms with all types of clocks--kitchen clocks, kit cat clocks, mantle clocks, antique and new grandfather clocks. There was a wide array of clocks for sale--everything from $50 all the way up to $15,000+. I couldn't resist looking around and came across the most gorgeous antique 1910 German grandfather clock. I was nervous to ask the price as there were some very expensive clocks in-store. To my surprise, the clock was very affordable and became my early Christmas present. Chappell delivered the clock the next week and showed me how to operate it. I couldn't be happier with my antique grandfather clock. There's something about the chimes that makes a house a home! The people at Chappell Jordan are so friendly and knowledgeable; it's a pleasure just to meet and interact with them. I totally recommend Chappell Jordan to everyone. You might go in intending just to get a clock fixed and walk about with an antique grandfather clock!

If you are in need of a quality clock, this is the place to go. Walking in, you take a step back in Time fifty years. They don't sell art, home decor, dog food, etc. They sell clocks! Wall clocks, alarm clocks, grandfather clocks. Room after room of in stock new clocks and beautifully maintained antique clocks. They do one thing and they are good at it. Big thumbs up to this business.

Chappell Jordan has a great selection of all kinds of clocks. I was looking for a mantel clock and they had several ranging from low-key classy to super fancy silver/gold plated face clocks. They also offered a great selection of both battery powered and mechanical. Prices are very fair in my opinion, especially for the quality of the clocks and the 1 year warranty you receive. All the clocks (or at least most of them) seem to be made in either the USA, Germany or London....no made in China garbage. Another thing I liked about Chappell Jordan is that they can do all repairs in house. Everyone I met at the store was very friendly and willing to help. The whole process was very relaxed and I got a great mantel clock to adorn my home for a very reasonable price! I will absolutely be back and would recommend them without hesistation!

I had a great experience with Chappell Jordan. I purchased a Howard Miller Arendal grandfather floor clock and the price was freaking unbelievable. I thought it was a mistake at first. Delivery and setup was free as well. The owner actually showed up at delivery if you can believe that!! I was at work during delivery by my wife was at home and the owner placed the clock in a number of locations to see where my wife thought it looked best. I was amazed that they would take that extra effort to make sure their customer was satisfied. I would absolutely recommend Chappell Jordan if you are looking for a grandfather clock.

I've taken my Seth Thomas clock to Chappell Jordan on numerous occasions. The process is very friendly and professional. Today I brought my clock in and it was repaired while I browsed the nine rooms of clocks. After about 20 minutes, I returned to the service area and my clock was ticking away. I asked how much and I was told "free of charge". I now sit here in my living room listening to the soothing tick tick tick of my clock. Life is good. I love this place!

We took three clocks in for repair. One of the clocks was originally from London and made in the mid 1800s. It had a beautiful chime but had quit working. When we picked it up, it's chime sounded like someone thumping a soft drink can. Its beautiful chime was gone. One of the other two clocks, a 30 year old Seth Thomas, has never worked correctly again and 1 year later will not stay wound. It is beautiful but useless. The last of the three clocks, a less old Howard Miller mantle clock now rings one time more than the actual time. At noon and midnight, it rings 13 times. We purchased a Howard Miller grandfather clock from Chapell Jordan 35 years ago and it still works fine. I'm glad because if it ever quits, I wouldn't trust Chapell Jordan to perform a repair again... ever.

I've never seen so many different clocks in all my life!! Some are very old and they're all very beautiful!! This is the coolest store!!! Very friendly and helpful staff. Boy, bring your wallet, but definitely come!!

I have always wanted a cuckoo clock of my very own. To have in your house a little birdie friend that shows up every 30 minutes to cheerfully hoot a sweet hello... why, you would never feel lonely! My family had cuckoo clocks growing up, but they were never in working order, so I wasn't sure what all was involved. When I stopped in at Chappell Jordan, the salespeople were extraordinarily helpful in describing the different types, explaining how they worked, and once I selected one, even helped me decide how to hang it up! The store is packed with beautiful clocks of all shapes and sizes to look at and listen to even if you aren't in the market for a heirloom clock.

After our Howard Miller Grandfather Clock had been ruined by the flood in June of '16 We went to a local dealer and was looking for a replacement. After being told that all dealers had to sell at the same price we bought what we thought was close to the same size and style since the one we owned was discontinued, when it came in it was way smaller. The owner refused to send the clock back and to get one the size we wanted it would cost us more than the clock we finally purchased at Chappell Jordan Clock Gallery was selling for. We were amazed at the large range of grandfather clocks they carried and the prices they were. After talking with Jeff he made us a deal that helped us get the clock we wanted since we had lost money and were very disappointed. We were able to get a Beautiful Howard Miller Lindsey Grandfather Clock for a little more than we paid for the first clock that wasn't close to the quality and beauty that we got from Chappell Jordan. Jeff came out and set our clock up and was very professional. If we had shopped around we would have saved a lot of time, grief and money. I have done a lot of business with Chappell Jordan over the years, and despite one very bad experience, I'm overall pleased with the quality of their work. I wouldn't recommend anywhere else for work and repairs to antique and fine clocks.

Chappell Jordan repaired an old tall clock for us. Because of the nature of the repair the works of the clock were taken to the shop, repaired, and returned on schedule and on budget. Additionally, the service man who delivered the clock was extraordinarily courteous and helpful. This is exactly what a well run small business should be. Excellent service; fair price; reliable and courteous service personnel.

This is THE place for clocks. The staff was so informative and helpful. Plus, they did not follow us around and try to put pressure on us to buy. Just a beautiful shop full of lots of choices. After I got back home and installed our new wall clock, I accidentally dropped and damaged the pendulum. I took it back to be repaired and they ordered me a new one from the manufacturer at no additional cost. Highly recommended!

My mother-in-law recently passed away and willed her Grandfather clock to my wife. I contacted Chappell Jordan to get the particulars on packing the clock for moving from Houston to Chicago, and they were very helpful and accommodating. My mother-in-law's house sold and we needed the service rapidly over the Memorial Day weekend. With just a couple of phone calls, they arranged the "house call" on a Saturday and were completed within an hour. The service and customer involvement is extraordinary.

I purchased a Howard Miller Grandfather Clock last week from Chappell Jordan. I am extremely happy with the service from beginning to end. If you are looking for a Grandfather clock and live in the Houston area, Do Not buy online, come to this wonderful store. Their prices beat all the online competition, and I did extensive research before coming in. They have a large selection of clocks in store, but if you do not see the one you are looking for, they will order it for you. Not limited to only Grandfather, they also have mantel, cuckoo, pretty much any clock you can think of. My salesperson Myra, was an absolute pleasure to work with, very informative and never pushy. The delivery time was very quick, and delivery itself was excellent. No additional cost for delivery or setup. The delivery was actually made by one of the owners, Jeff, who went through very comprehensively, everything involved in taking care of the clock. I cannot say enough good things about this store, highly highly recommended.
