Chapter 1896 is a gem! The cocktails are crafted with real care, the staff are welcoming and attentive, and the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance of stylish and cozy. Easily one of the best bars around. I’ll definitely be coming back!

they were in the middle of switching to a new cocktail menu so they didn’t have their usual signature cocktails. however, the bartender archie was incredibly accommodating and knowledgeable. based on only a few key words and preferences, he was able to bring out a plethora of drinks with incredible flavour profiles and textures. he could explain every component and why he chose it. he’s incredibly talented and so friendly. this place is a must-visit, especially if you’re into unique drinking experiences that broaden your horizons! not to mention the ambience of the speakeasy and the beautiful canal view :)

Great cocktail bar. Cozy seating. Chill and quiet vibes. You come here for amazing drinks, low key conversations and just a relaxing evening from the hustle and bustle of the city. Table windows gives you great views of the canal. This place is just great. Feels like you’re in your living room. They also have my favorite scotch adorned throughout, Macallan. Highly recommended for a relaxing evening drinks with close friends or even alone. Definetly will be back!

Stunning canal views and an immaculate bar, great for a nightcap and a quiet conversation. A signature twist on a boulivardier was on point, and with a deep back bar classics from a last word to a brandy alexander seem no challenge. Price is definitely "posh hotel bar".

What a lovely place, the drinks where fantastic and the bartenders where awesome. Definitely coming back here to sample more from the menu. The drinks where inventive and have been inspired by art and literature in quite a fun and exciting way. The stories behind them really show the commitment to the drinks.

Gents know exactly what they are doing and have imbued a passionate narrative into this gorgeous, sumptuous experience. Lovely hidden treasure box. Beautiful views early evening.
