Chapter House Cape Cod

We only had one night at the chapter house but very much enjoyed our stay. Jim did a great job clueing us in to local restaurants, getting the fire going for us, and making sure we had some drinks. Beds and pillows were very comfortable for us. Looking forward to going back and staying for longer!

would leave 0 stars if i could solely based on the service. whoever the bartender was on friday night 10/31/2025 was one of the biggest jerks i have ever encountered in the service industry in my entire life, especially as a local of 30 years on cape cod. as soon as 9pm hit he started calling us derogatory names and kicked us out for tipping 15% for taking the caps off of 3 beers. would not advise, plenty of better places in the area to spend your money. bad place overall. cool history though

I honestly felt catfished by this hotel. The hotel is very old and very run down. In need of a major facelift but even a new coat of paint and some better interior design would go a long way. Everything was covered in cobwebs (lamps in the room especially). Very weird vibes and odd smell. The bar could have been cool if it was ever open. The grounds were nice but the outdoor seating was always covered and the fires never lit even though we were told they would be. We ended up staying 2 nights out of convenience but would not stay again. I also think they delete negative reviews so it will be interesting to see if this even makes it live.

If you are looking for a place to stay and your in the area, I would give the Chapter House a try. We were in town to see the Ed Gorey house, which is right next door, and choose this place due to the location. We had reservations for the Ed Gorey house, and wanted a place nearby to rest after our cross country flight. Room was small, but tidy, and everything needed for a good nights rest was there. The room was quiet, and the bed comfortable.

Lovely inn! We stayed at Chapter House for two nights while visiting family nearby. We were greeted by the GM, James, when we arrived, and he made us feel welcome right away. The hotel is quiet, comfortably appointed and our carriage house room was cozy and comfortable. Would recommend and would stay here again!

Lovely experience! Jim and his team are so welcoming and the facility is lovely. We enjoyed our room, the beautiful home, coffee on the patio in the morning, the GORgeous landscaping, drinks at the end of the day in the hotel bar. I only gave the rooms 4 stars simply because they aren't "fancy," but they are exactly what you need- clean, tidy, cute, and comfortable. Thank you, Jim!

We stayed at Chapter house, early June. It's such a beautiful place, grounds are gorgeous and Jim was so welcoming, staff was available for anything we needed, rooms were perfect! They gave us the best Cape cod experience! Thank you so much CH!!!

Excellent! My only complaint is the bar closes very early, there is no room service and the window unit provides a significant amount of humidity. The host Jim was so sweet and the property is gorgeous.
