We stayed for a couple of nights on a short break. First impressions were great with it being a 5-10 minute walk into the centre of Hereford. There are a lot of titanic photos which I personally loved!! The room was very comfortable and just what you would wish for. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty so set you up for the day. I really would recommend

Stayed 2 nights, didn't see the owner until the last morning at breakfast time. She totally humiliated me in front of other guests because I had the audacity to have used the bed throw on the 1st day and leave it on the chair. I had to defend my reason why ( I'm disabled and get exhausted very quickly and needed to have a sleep) this was whilst breakfast was being served to other guests and she was not discreet whatsoever. She didn't leave it at that she continued on about me using the throw instead of blankets in the wardrobe. At this point I left my breakfast as I was quite humiliated and was getting very distressed. Later away from the other guests I went to see her and informed her how she had left me feeling and her being inappropriate "reprimanding" me in front of other guests and a more professional and hospitable way would have had a little chat out of other guests being present. All she was focused on was the Throw and then to inform me that they cost more to get laundered. She did eventually apologise for humiliating me and with a great big smile on her face walk away from me. Wouldn't recommend this hotel if you want a friendly relaxing and welcoming hotel as this one did not fulfill anyone of these. This woman totally ruined my stay in Hereford by her attitude as if our money wasn't as good as the other guests and if she had treated me like the way she did after our 1st night we would not have wasted our money and stayed there a 2nd night that is for sure!!!!!

Looking at the previous reviews thought this would be an ideal place to spend my birthday, but it was doomed from the start. We arrived at approximately 10pm due to traffic, we had informed them we would be checking in from 8.30 onwards. On arrival we then has an irate phone call from whom I now know to be the owner, asking where we were, we had just pulled up. I tried to explain to him the situation but he just shoved the keys into my hand and told me our room was upstairs. Once in the room we unpacked and settled down for the night,or tried to, a bit difficult when you're sleeping on two single beds pushed together with a concrete base as a mattress. In the morning we went for breakfast, another pantomime began as we went to sit at a table only to be told in no uncertain terms that it wasn't ready and we had to sit somewhere else, it only gets worse from here on in. halfway through, with other residents in the room we were informed that we had been given the wrong room and that no one else wanted to move also the person who had booked our room didn't want to change ,obviously we weren't happy about this and refused, as it wasn't our fault but if they wanted the room to refund us the other 2 nights we had booked and we'd go elsewhere,no chance, but it did transpire that the room we had booked for 3 nights had been given to someone else. So as we had no option we had to go and repack our items for them to take it to what should have been our room from the start. On the Sunday we went out for the day and, as with other hotels we had stayed at, expected our room to be cleaned and necessary items replaced, this was obviously to much to do for the cleaner, as when we came back she had left her cleaning box on the bed and nothing had been done. I'm not sure where these " friendly owners" were, but we certainly didn't come across, them, if tte lady serving breakfast was one of them, then it seems she had a problem with us, as for Steven, he needs to remove the chip from his shoulder, The rooms are dated, it's amazing, given good camera angles, how something can be made to look better than it is,it's not superior. It doesn't deserve the 4 star it says it has,I'd put it at 2 star maximum

Came here during the fair, great place to stay and only a short walk into town and to the fair (if you wish), greeted by the owner on arrival and helped with the birthday surprise for the wife. Wonderful breakfast. All-in-all it was a pleasure to stay and would definitely come back again should we be around the area - thank you both.

Despite our late arrival, we received a warm welcome and items requested were waiting in our room. Our room was large and airy, beautifully decorated and very clean as was the bathroom. Breakfasts were freshly cooked to order with a good range of choices and plenty of coffee and tea. Our hosts were very helpful and we would thoroughly recommend it.

4/5 "great for a short stay" Excellent guest house, very clean and the rooms are spacious with all the amenities. Quite close to the centre of Hereford which is great. Only downside was that the latest time for breakfast was 9:00am so not much chance of a lie in. The breakfast itself was quite good and much better than normal bed and breakfasts.

I am leaving 5 Stars for the guy owner and the property itself. Beautiful place and 1 great owner. The guy who owns this beautiful property is very friendly and we had a lovely talk but had to stay one less night because the owners wife was very rude and disrespectful and we couldn’t stay somewhere with such a disrespectful woman. So I must say this review is only for the property and the Guy who owns it. If we was gonna leave a review for the owners wife, it would be 0 stars.

Yelp
We traveled to Hereford from the states for a wedding and stayed at Charades Guest House in their Triple King Room. Best decision ever! The Guest House was located within a 5-10 minute walk from the train station and downtown Hereford, and situated far enough back from Aylestone Hill Rd that it was peaceful and quiet. The grounds of the hotel are stunning and kept immaculate, with lots of places outside to sit and relax. Our room was spacious, clean and stocked with everything the 3 of us needed. Beds were incredibly comfortable and had nice warm comforters. The bathroom was large and there was a towel warming rack. We also loved the door from our room which led out to the side lawn. Breakfast was made to order and excellent, too! They had a small menu with a full English Breakfast, omelettes, porridge, toast, and other choices as well as a chiller with fresh fruit, yogurt and juices. The two hosts were lovely and we really enjoyed talking with them. I would 100% recommend staying here for work or leisure. We enjoyed our stay here tremendously and will be back if we are ever in Hereford again!
