This hotel was difficult to find online (they aren't listed on Booking.com or other websites), and when you arrive, you can tell - despite other places on Ometepe being fully booked, this one seemed like it had plenty of room. The only way I could book it was by sending my credit card number by email, which I wasn't completely comfortable with, but turned out OK. There was also difficulty booking exactly what I wanted (we expected a cabana and that breakfast was included, but got a room in the main hotel and no breakfast). It is a new hotel, so the rooms are clean but very plain. The grounds are beautiful, there is a nice swimming pool, and the beach is small but nice (and a perfect place to watch the sunset). The on-site restaurant is the only option for food here, and they only open during meal times. The food was good, but the entrees expensive. However, we found that an "appetizer" was actually the size of a full meal. For example, it cost about $15 for a plate of pasta, but the ham and cheese sandwich on the appetizer menu was only $3, but it was large and loaded with lettuce, tomatoes, etc. and also came with potato wedges and fruit. We ended up ordering this way for our whole stay to save money. The general atmosphere was relaxing and overall a great place to be whether you need a basecamp for daily adventures or just a place to hang out and relax all day. Also, the rooms had air conditioning.
