Charcoal Tandoor Grill & Mixology

I recently dined at an Indian restaurant in Bangkok and tried their grilled shrimp, tandoori chicken, butter chicken, and naan. The food was nice, but I believe there are better options out there. The flavors were good, but I felt there was room for improvement in terms of perfection. Overall, it was a decent experience, but I think there are other places that might offer a more exceptional dining experience, also I felt that the prices were on the higher side. If you're looking for a more cost-effective option without compromising on taste also they take service charge 300B Overall: 5/10

Absolutely wonderful, from the moment we walked in, the ambiance is so calming and hip, very clean and hi end fit out. The food sent me to my happy place, if I was not in public I would have licked the bowls hahaha. Everything was so well done, our waiter Ricketts was so patient with us as we navigated the menu. Best Indian we have had in a very long time. Highly recommended.

Really good, large portions, cooked expertly. Great service, nice atmosphere. Price reflects all attributes. Definitely worth the splurge. Highlights: Scallops and the Mango Tree dessert (not a big dessert fan, but this was phenomenal!)

Well, I came here last night to have a business meeting, and a few others that attended our table. There was only four of us, but we were hungry enough to order some food. We had one vegan at our table which was awesome because I love vegan food! I had called to make reservations, and I had specifically asked do you have vegan food because the one vegan in our group she cannot eat anything that is non-vegan. I was told yes and then when we got there, they said that they didn’t have anything vegan but we had requested them to make certain things without any butter and because there was three different servers taking three different of our orders. It was such a mixup. We ordered some shredded chicken. We ordered the cauliflower flambé, which was one of my favorite to be honest the two different different Daal that came one was vegan one was non! I much preferred the vegan daal because it was not so laden with heavy butter and cream! Everything was good. I love the bowl of onions that they bring. Also the chutney’s were not spicy enough. We ordered one of the croissant like nons. Also, we ordered a paratha tandoor naan! We kept asking the servers to bring us some drinks. It just seemed like it was very haphazardly run. I don’t think they had enough people last night to serve the amount of people that they had in the restaurant. ! They were bringing out the bread before they brought out any curry for us to eat them. We had to wait for. They kept mixing up our orders because we kept telling them vegan and they kept bringing us things that we’re not vegan because it had butter in it and it was just a bit of a mess last night. ! We had asked for a pint of beer. Instead I brought I have a pint of beer. It was just again it was the service was quite terrible last night. It was almost too much and then not enough. ! Overall, I would recommend this place if they have enough people to help them out ! Anyway, after I deserved, we left quite shortly there after, and it was very filling with a heavy butters and creams. Even in the rice. There was butter in the rice. Very tasty, but very very heavy for a late night dinner.! I would recommend this place, but make sure that you get the name of the person when you’re making the reservations just in case if you have any special requirements ! Open kitchen with real authentic indian cuisine. Flavorful, colorful and so tasty. The bar is also impressive. The staff makes sure you get flawless service. Highly recommend this reasturant.

Delicious Indian food and impeccable service! Food comes out very quick and everything is awesome! The cocktails may have been the best part—best mojito of my life! Also please please please order the broccoli, it was life changing!

I really don't understand how they got such high ratings even though they don't know how to make chicken tikka masala. It's still not the proper way to prepare the dish in the India and any other part of world . I would say it is one of the worst foods in Bangkok. They need to learn how to cook a chicken tikka masala properly. I'm sorry, but I can't recommend this restaurant for good Indian food. They don't have bhindi bhaji, mixed vegetables, palak paneer, paneer matar, raita, chicken curry, or any other popular Indian dishes. They only have tandoori dishes. Their name should be BBQ Bar, not an Indian food restaurant. They don't offer proper Indian cuisine. I have shared a video, please check it out. Simply exceptional! Easily the best tandoor experience I’ve had anywhere! Starting from the courteous staff to the knowledgeable waiting staff, the whole experience was perfect. We ordered the meat and seafood platter and each item on the platter were outstanding. Perfectly grilled, optimally seasoned and the right amount of spice combined with tender and juicy portions. The addition of the dal made everything come together brilliantly! The complimentary cake was a nice touch as well. Highly recommended and a must visit if you are in the area and looking for top notch Indian food
