This hotel is hard to find as it's at the top of some other businesses. It doesn't look like a hotel and if our taxi driver hadn't helped us by calling the number on the reservation we wouldn't have found it. There is no front desk and you have to check in/out at a gas station down the street, while hauling your luggage of course. The people at the gas station were friendly and organized but you are left staying in a room where there is no one to assist at night if needed. There is no phone in the room and no wi-fi was available. The outside door was a little hard to open from the inside. The hallway was dark and when we returned from a nearby grocery store we had a hard time seeing the door to get it unlocked. There is no elevator and you have to haul your suitcases up 2 flights of very steep winding stairs. ||||The room itself was nice, large and clean. The bathroom was very small and there was a bar of soap and towels but no shampoo or hairdryer. If you are traveling from the U.S. be sure to have a converter or adaptor for the power. The sheets had some stains on them but looked clean. There were no regular pillows in the room, just the ones in the pillow shams. Not sure how often those get washed. ||||The room walls are thin. We could hear the man in the room next door coughing all night. We were there on a Saturday night and it was very noisy on the street. We did not spend any time walking around in the evening. The locals did not look as though they appreciated tourists and were not friendly. A couple that were probably drunk or stoned got in our faces. ||||We thought it would be easy to stay near the airport and the price was reasonable but realized that since we had an afternoon flight we should have just stayed another night in the Rodney Bay area and taken a taxi to the airport late morning. We would not recommend a stay here.

Charlerys Inn is in Vieux Fort near the airport but there is no noise (good glazing) - just the excitement of watching the planes come in for an hour or so most afternoons and there is a wonderful view over the hills beyond the airport. The 2 suites that we had were large, elegant, clean, with a kitchen and dining area but the bathrooms are small - still you don't spend more time in the bathroom than you have to. There is a supermarket nearby with a good selection of food but evening meals out are not easy to find. We went to the Dennery Fish Fry on Saturday night but make sure you arrange a taxi to get you back because buses can drive past full so you might have a long wait. Most people only go to the airport but the southern tip of the island is very different to the rest of St Lucia and well worth a visit. Charlery gave us a ride to the airport on our last day which was much appreciated.

We spent one night at the Inn. Rooms are spacious, clean and has all amenities. Staff was courtesy. Great for a family/group/retreat. Definitely will stay on my next visit. Easy access to airport/fast service ATM. Gas station mini mart. Transportation available to any part of St Lucia.

Nothing fancy and maybe a little rough compared to US rooms, but clean and comfortable. The Inn is in what looks like an office building. We had a bit of trouble finding it. There is a big sign on the building. No staff on-site except for the maid. You have to check in at the gas station across the street, this is indicated on the front door in tiny print. Check in felt a little chaotic as my traveling companion had to rush off to catch a flight. There was an aggressive panhandler out front, but she hasn't reappeared. Maid service was great. No real information about the town or the inn on the premises. Room has TV, hot water, AC, electric tea kettle.

The location was convenient to the airport. Check in was a little different than I'm used to as there was not a lot of staff. No elevator, so you will be carrying your bag up 2-3 flights. Not fun!! Leeandra was nice. She gave us a little history of Viex-Fort and accommodated us with pleasure. She drove us to the beach at no charge.

Very unsafe location. My wife and I wanted something affordable close to the airport. We had to spend 2 days in St Lucia on our way back home from beautifull Martinique. Room very noisy and unconfortable. The neighborhood very unsafe..we were stuck in the room for two days ..went as far as the closest grocery store and people were looking at us as we were aliens ..some called us names..very rude, racist and unsafe.Would advice any tourist to avoid the area.

I stayed at Charlerys Inn for one night, and felled very welcome. The owners were really nice! The room and the price was okay. The best was the aircondition and the ride to the AirPort of the owner. I felled very safe in Vieux Fort, eventhough i was on my own. People in Vieux Fort was so nice to me! I would like to come again some day!

Hotel was inexpensive, clean, and safe. Staff was very friendly. Exactly what I needed while I was volunteering at the nearby hospital. It was a 15 min walk to a very lovely beach with 2 dining options at Sandy Beach. Note that the check in with the hotel manager is at the gas station across the street. Very close to supermarket.
