I went to the Charles Tyrwhitt shop on Jermyn Street to buy a suit and left feeling ignored and frustrated. No one offered help, and when we finally asked someone a question, the staff member was sarcastic and dismissive instead of being helpful. It really put me off. We then tried the Regent Street store, and the experience couldn’t have been more different. Yasmine was fantastic — warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in helping me find the right suit. Because of her excellent service, I bought my suit there instead. Jermyn Street was a let‑down, but Regent Street — and especially Yasmine — completely turned things around.

I visited the store needing a jacket and shirt for an informal but important meeting the next day, and honestly had no idea where to start. The team was immediately welcoming — the ladies managing the changing rooms kindly took my measurements and helped me get the right fit for the shirts. But the real highlight of my visit was Kawkue. He guided me through the jacket–shirt combinations with effortless elegance, genuine friendliness, and a humble confidence that made the whole experience a pleasure. He had a smile the entire time, and his enthusiasm for helping people truly stood out. His eye for style and his calm, positive energy made my decisions incredibly easy. I’m genuinely grateful for the attention and care he showed. Thanks to him, I left the store not just with the right outfit, but with the motivation to return in the future. If I see him again on my next visit, I’ll know I’m in the best hands. Highly recommended.

I visited the Jeremyn store to purchase shirts for my upcoming wedding, specifically for myself and several family members. The quality of the shirts speaks for itself—the fabrics are excellent, the cuts are sharp, and the non-iron shirts I chose are superb value. However, what truly made this a five-star experience was the service. I had the pleasure of being assisted by Sahil, who was genuinely phenomenal. He listened carefully to what I needed, guided me through the different fits and collar styles and also measured me, and handled the multiple sizes required for my family with patience and expertise. Sahil ensured every shirt was meticulously checked, bagged, and ready. His professional, focused, and friendly approach made what could have been a very stressful shopping trip an absolute pleasure. If you are looking for top-quality formal shirts, especially for an important event like a wedding, I highly recommend visiting this location and asking for Sahil. I cannot say enough about the service provided by Kwaku at this location: I had bought dress shirts online which did not fit properly and thought I would need custom tailoring; but he suggested the "slim-fit" option which worked perfectly, and he and spent a good deal of time helping me select new shirts. Excellent! A pleasure to work with!

Superb service from the Sales Manager. Store was beyond busy for Black Friday and I had a shirt to return from an online order. The Manager helped me pick out a replacement that was exactly what I wanted and took me straight over to the till for a switch which was quicker than it took me to write this. CT is my go to for shirts these days and with service like this why go elsewhere!

At first when we visited the store to buy some shirts, the assistants did not seem that helpful. We then went downstairs and a lovely gentleman called Amin came to help and he could not have been more helpful or accurate as to what sizes we needed. He cost us a small fortune and we ended up purchasing several jackets and trousers too. I could not praise Amin enough. He was absolutely brilliant and a real credit to your store. Thank goodness we bumped in to him.

I’m going to review the features within this store and then give my overall review. Starting with: Customer Service: I’ve been to a handful of CT stores around London and the customer service is always fantastic – this one is no exception. The customer service provided within this store is pretty good – it’s nothing out of the ordinary, but still worth praising nonetheless. The members of staff are quite attentive even during peak hours and are always on standby when you need help with something. My experience with the members of staff here was pretty good and hats off to them for keeping up the high standard of customer service in store and online. Clothes / Selection: As big as the store is, I found that they didn’t quite have every choice available as displayed online, but that’s to be expected within any clothes store. I was just grateful that their “ordering in process is quick and well presented. Hygiene: The hygiene within the store is pretty top notch. Everything is clean and is in its place. Lighting: Because this is a clothes store, it’s worth noting the lighting because it plays a big part in how you see yourself and how the store merchandise looks. The lighting is mediocre to be honest. I don’t understand why a suit store would want to have DIM lighting and even DARKER lighting within the changing rooms. I say this because the lighting inside the store does a disservice to the clothes because even the light shirts/suits end up being hard to determine the exact fabric colour and that can quite often lead to customers like me being dissuaded from buying – which I did. Summary: Overall, this store is pretty fantastic to be honest. They’ve pretty much got all their online selections located throughout the store both the ground and lower ground floor. Although they don’t have everything listed from their online website, the store is still worth checking out for anyone looking to buy from them.

This review is for the online channel. After receiving a few of the "3 shirts for $99" promo offer I finally decided to give CT a try. They have an extensive selection of shirts, patterns with collar choices & an easy to navigate website. In addition to the shirts what really impressed me was the service. Calls were answered promptly and the agents were knowledgeable and helpful. I made a mistake on size for one of my shirts. No problem as they just made their return/exchange process much easier (& it was). The Classic fit is close to what I'm used to here in the states and I would say ran slightly smaller which was fine with me as at times the shirts from other retailers can be baggy which CT's weren't (without having to go to slim fit). I've found my new go-to for dress and casual shirts and look forward to visiting a store on my next UK trip!

Looked like a good selection, but no one even said hello when I came in. I just left since no one bothered to ask what I was interested in trying on. Disappointing, as I was shopping for a suit.

Excellent customer service! It's really hard for my husband to find dress shirts. He has broad shoulders but a skinny waist line so when he tucks his shirt in it looks baggy. With COVID stores are all closed but we live in the US anyways so we wouldn't be able to travel there. So online was a great option for us. We had to place 3 different orders before we got the right fit since this was our first time ordering these dress shirts. Customer service helped us find the right ones for us. They were very patient with us and provided free shipping and free return labels every time which we were very grateful for! The quality feels great nice and thick. They have 4 different fit styles: classic fit, slim fit, extra slim fit and super slim fit. They have collar size, sleeve length, cuff type: button cuff or french cuff) and for extra money you can add a left pocket to any shirt and a monogram! We are very happy with this purchase and will be buying more if needed. The only thing my husband wishes is that they have more solid colors her can wear to work.

I own about a dozen Tyrwhitt shirts and went into the store predisposed to purchase a few more. The stored is either understaffed or the staff are under trained. Very hard to get help. When I did catch someone's attention they left me on my own to rummage through the shirt cubicles of my size that, curiously, seemed to have varied styles within them. Frustrated, I left without making a purchase and discovered an alternate brand just down the street.

I should have read the reviews before entering into a transaction with this company. Dozens of allegations of very bad business practices. Personally, I was sucked into the promotion of 3 Sport Shirts for $89.00 seen on Facebook multiple times. The package arrived posted from London, England and contained two of the ordered three shirts. I ordered the size I have ordered for years and it simply didn't fit. "Easy Return & Exchange" policy NOT. I wanted to exchange both shirts for the next size up and the response was no longer in stock. OK give me a refund as my gut started telling me to get out of this transaction. My two shirts were totaling $89.61 as the third shirt was back ordered and not yet charged. Gee I thought, it was 3 for $89. Discovered they charged me $19.21 for "Shipping & Handling" which if clearly stated I would not have completed the transaction. Wrote back to them AGAIN and they credited me for the two shirt but refused to return the shipping and handling. Net loss basically $20.00 and lesson learned. Take a look at the reviews and stay away. What ever happen to good and honorable business practices?

For my husband, this was a nice change of pace from the Land's End and L.L. Bean catalogs (Hubby has little time or interest in visiting a storefront.). Something for US men to note: UK gentlemen have a few different norms, such as no-pocket standard; but that is easily remedied with another $8 charge to have one added. We also noticed, although we were careful to order twill (thicker) shirts, that the fabric from CT seems a bit thinner than what my husband is accustomed to; in fact, I wonder if that is one reason US men prefer chest pockets? Get my drift? Regardless of the thinner fabric, we are very pleased with the shirts that we've received thus far. CT was quick to ship out what was in stock. And hubby enjoyed the ordering process because he got to chat with a Brit who kept saying cute things like, "Brilliant!", which made him smile. Customer service, seriously, seems to be top notch.

Best shirt store in all of London in my opinion. Never buy anywhere else, period. The make a wide range of cuts and colors, in case you are not white only, as me. I'd advise the cutback collar, definitely a bit shaper than the classic, in my opinion. I'd also recommend buying the non-iron, unlike the other guys the shirts are close to non-iron and stay crisp the whole day. They ship tax free to the US, quite a boon for us Americans. Buy 9 and get the 10th free.

I know, I know... it's generally a male clothing store. However I've recently become quite well versed in the male shopping arena on a quest for the perfect yellow tie for my other. And let's be honest, I've put my face on plenty of scratchy, poorly fitted and terrible quality button up shirts in my day. (Hellloooo college!) So with those qualifications, let's just say that Charlie T knows what he's doing. The woven silk and the handmade ties were stunning in their bold colours and perfectly weighted. Is it strange that I kind of want one for myself? If you're looking for a high quality shirt, tie or cufflinks and don't want to completely blow the budget, Charles Tyrwhitt is your guy.

I ducked into the Chucky T flagship Jermyn Street store. I was looking for a dress shirt, just not sure what I wanted and did not want generic solid blue or white. Their shirts are reasonable priced, very good quality and they have a variety of fits, so this is one of my go-to places for shirts. The staff was very helpful in my find a fit as I like a slim fit shirt. Also, since they have a very wide selection, I was able to find exactly what I was looking for. This store not only has shirts, but also a wide selection of ties and sweaters (jumpers, as you Brits call them). Their ties are pretty solid terms of quality. Also, on the lower floor, they carry a wide variety of suits and coats - probably the widest variety of suits at any Charles Trywhitt store I have visited.

Good shirts make you feel good and I hate those cheaper versions that you can buy from the High street stores that shrink and feel scratchy. There are a few good value places to buy a good shirt and Jermyn St in London has a good selection. I love Pink and I also like Charles Thrwhitt, great name too. These guy's make a good selection of plain white and coloured shirts in a variety of styles to suit both business and pleasure. Service is always good and they will always have some form of an offer on, either a two for one or free tie to match. I have shirts from this shop that have lasted for a good few years and that I have worn a lot, so quality and durability are the keywords here. They also make you feel that you look good which has to be a good thing. If you haven't purchased before, go and have a look and treat yourself. Once you have one, you will be back for more.

If you use Reddit or frequent men's fashion online forums, Charles Tyrwhitt is often mentioned as THE place to get dress shirts. I finally made the time to come here on my latest London trip and was promptly impressed by CT's offerings. Isaac took the time to help measure and fit me properly. I ended up with a extra slim cut, spread collar dress dress in blue and really enjoy how the shirt fits me. I've had custom dress shirts made (traveling tailor), purchased from low (H&M) to high-end (Polo) brands, and can honestly say CT has fit the best. In fact, I'm planning on buying 4 more dress shirts in the near future! If you're looking online, take the chance and order something; if you're in London, definitely go to the store and get fitted properly.

Terrible online customer service. They state your order is complete and never send. They first cancelled order and said they charged me wrong so didn't process. They added $100 dollars. Then they cancelled order again that the item was out of stock.

Clothes look great.... BUT they fill the space with an intense and irritating perfume that sticks in my throat like burnt marshmallows.

Very helpful staff when it came to explaining the difference between classic, slim and the other slim cut of shirts. Funny enough, I got to know about this London shop through a catalogue in a German magazine. I was about to throw away all the ads that came with the issue, and then read that this brand is based in London. As the offers looked good, I decided to check out their main store. Charles Tyrwhitt in Jermyn Street has a broad selection of shirts, in different styles and sizes. The shop is clearly structured and it is easy to find what you need. I was not sure about the arm length, so asked one of the staff if he could help. He measured my arm and then brought some extra slim fit, slim fit and classic fit shirts to try on, so I could see which style and size I need. Great customer service. I wanted to take advantage of their special offer for four shirts, so I was also looking for another casual shirt. Unfortunately they did not have my size on display. After I waited a for few minutes while a very friendly and cute store attendant checked if they have it in store somewhere, she explained that they currently do not have my size in this branch, but they would send it to me without any costs. So I bought it without trying it on and received the mail order item two days later. Besides the very good service at the Charles Tyrwhitt shop in Jermyn Street, I am also very happy with the quality of the shirts. They are quite nice to wear and low-maintenance. I will definitely go there again when I am looking for new shirts.

Best. Shirts. Ever. Years ago during my first trip to London I was taken aback by how well dressed all the gents were. Time to spruce up the wardrobe. Fast forward to present and the majority of my shirts, ties and cuff links are CT. CT simply makes some of the finest threads out there. You can find their shirts for as low as 39USD. Brass collar stays included so your collar pops, and not in that day glow 80s polo kind of way. French cuffs? Included. Shirt pocket? Included. All different cuts and styles, so mix it up a bit. The classic is a lot of shirt and the fitted flatters you a bit more. We're talking quality stuff here. Crisp shirts and buttons that won't come off. Close out specials are quite the deal. Sign up for the catalogue. Customer service is excellent and helps get you just what you are looking for. I like these shirts more than Pink or Brooks Brothers. In the past couple of years I have ordered shirts from Charles Tyrwhitt (delivered from England to the USA). They often have a $39.50 per shirt special. Shipping for orders under $100 is $14.95 and only $9.95 for over $100 (not bad). It is around a 10 day turn-a-round. I will usually order 3 or 4 at a time when they have a sale. I think the quality is very good. (similar to T.M.Lewin). The slim-fit shirts fit me perfectly (better than Brooks Brothers fit). I haven't tried any of the ties yet but I like what I see. It was nice to stop in the brick-n-mortar during our trip to London. The staff is very friendly & professional. I didn't buy anything on my visit but will continue to be a customers as long as they stay consistent in quality and pricing. The shirts aren't bespoke/MTM per say but you do have a degree of customization, it is a good value. I will have to check out the New York locations to see how it compares.

Nice store! right in the middle of St James --- awesome place to shop. Yes, its overpriced --- you can save a boat load of $$'s err.. pounds, if you shop via internet. However, there are a few things you can't get via catalog -- such as a nice cashmere scarf from Scotland! Its my favourite thing that I bought here! Other than that, you can score better from the catalogs. But not to be missed if you are in the area.

One other reviewer started his review with: Best Shirts. Ever. I can only second that. CT Shirts are good, very good even for an absolute steal. Good fitting, good material, good selection, just the best. Ever. There is really no excuse to wear badly fitting shirts anymore. There are a number of well known chains dotted all over London which don't need to be named but not everyone seems to have discovered CT yet. That's a shame because it beats all of them. I have quite high standards when it comes to shirts and accessories and wouldn't mind spending a bit more for something good but at CT you don't have to. My wardrobe is now full with their non-iron shirts (who likes ironing anyway...) and they last and look good after a lot of wearing. As may be expected in 2011 they offer online too. Selection is the same, delivery is fast (watch out for the free delivery offers) and best of all, if shirts are not in stock they get delivered to you for free. That's good service.

NEVER buy online from Charles Tyrwhitt. CT has failed to deliver four times in 10 days. They take an age to respond to queries. Most recently the customer help dept guaranteed a special delivery today. Nothing of course except - as with the three previous non-deliveries - they emailed me later asking me to complete a customer satisfaction survey. Their admin and technology are simply hopeless. No point discussing their products if like in my case they cannot deliver

I have been buying shirts from Charles Tywhitt for years and am extremely satisfied with the quality and choice. What I like best is that they have different fits (classic, fitted, tailored) and you can choose your sleeve length too. What's even better is that the price is so reasonable and with frequent special offers you can keep your wardrobe stocked with crisp shirts without breaking the bank.

Because you have to give it one star. Worse experience buying a suit by far. Good people but could not get it right. Upon returning for the last fitting it was never sent to the tailor so I had to grab it off the rack and take it to their tailor myself (this all took place in a matter of nine days). That's what I get for leaving my tux back in Philly. I can't recommend. Almost went to Hugo Boss. Should have.

Generally, I purchase shirts from the online store back home in the U.S. The price, fit and selection are very good, and the y have become my go-to shirts for work. The best way to describe the selection is Brooks Brothers fit and quality, with Thomas Pink style. If you shop them online regularly, you can almost always purchase during a $39-$49 per shirt deal, and that is remarkable. Thomas pink shirts will coat you three times that. And the extra-slim shirts fit me beautifully -- like custom. So I was delighted to walk right by this store in London recently. In addition to shirts, they have slacks, suits, shoes, ties, cufflinks, umbrellas, etc. I found the quality of the ties to be just okay - this is one area where they need to upgrade. Some of the style is old-school British, but you can walk out with a classic but stylish look if you know how to shop. Salespeople were very helpful and polite.

Be careful with purchasing their dress shirts! I have went through 5-6 of their dress shirts already and they have all ripped at the elbow. Seems as if the fabric is not a high quality because I even tried going up a size in sleeve length and the shirts still ripped at the elbow. I have never had this problem with any other brand of shirts except Charles Tyrwhitt! I really liked the look and feel of their dress shirts and I tried to give them another chance, but I am done purchasing their dress shirts!

This is one of my favourite shop in london,i can assure you that if you shop here once,you will always go back,here is where you get quality for a very good and reasonble price and if you are lucky enough during sale periods,you get further reductions which is really a big surprise to me all the time,you get your moneys worth and if not satisfied with any of their product take it back and they will glad to take it back.

This is the place to go for classic and stylish tailoring. The staff are friendly and really make an effort to help as much as they can. The best bit was the fact that my boyfriend got a suit that make him look as good as James Bond!

Tyrwitt is one of those brands that manage to offer the exemplary quality and sophisticated designs in their clothing, but at much reduced value comparing to the high end labels. Indeed, it is a relatively new company, having originated in 1986 as a mail order business, and therefore lacks the upmarket exclusivity of the English rivals like Burberry or Dunhill. Although I'm not one of their regular clients, I'm very happy with the shirts and a sweater I bought from them a couple of years ago. The cotton material remained almost as soft as originally and the garments didn't lose colour firmness after many washes. Their prices are also particularly appealing, presenting opportunities to buy top of the line shirts for £40 - 60 and even cheaper during sale time. Perhaps the designs of their items are not as creative comparing to designers that present at fashion shows and renew their collections regularly, but if looking for classic official wear of prime standards, Tyrwitt certainly provides some brilliant options.

A wander down Jermyn Street is a pleasure for any man who appreciates the finer traditions in life. A whole street devoted to shaving, suits, hats, coats, shoes and shirts. Charles Thywitt, best known for their shirts, keep a large collection of formal and casual in this store, along with shoes, suits and a few other items. All shirts are sold with brass collar bones. The staff (except at sale time when they are run off their feet) are efficient and friendly. Shirts here are not as cheap as on their website, but are truly of tip-top quality. I am still wearing shirts bought a good few years ago. Even better if you can get here during the sale.

Recommended by a colleague from Dublin, we found shirts long enough but not too big for my husband. They will ship them to our address in UK. The clerk, Euna, was exceptionally professional and understanding. She dealt with a pig of a man, who was her customer before us, with utmost tact. We will return due to this young woman's attitude and care.

Horrible experience. Ordered a tuxedo shirt through the website which was said to be in stock. 2 days later found out it was back-ordered and could not be delivered for 2 months. I called and worked with the customer service representative to find a shirt that was in stock that could be delivered when I needed the shirt only to find out a day before I needed it that the order was delayed and would not be here until the following week. I would recommend going anywhere else for a shirt but Charles Tyrwhitt.

I must say, this place is less packed of shoppers, much more organized, less of a wait at any check-out or fitting room cue and it carries all of the same products as the other stores.

It was my first and regrettably last time in Charles Tyrwhitt store. I went to Lime Street branch. It was 6pm and the store was empty. As soon as I entered the store the customer service assistant has jumped up in front of me like a bouncer, did not like that at all! What's the point of asking me if I needed any help if I didn't even have a second to look around? I also didn't like his pretentious attitude when he started visually examining me from head to toe! Some stores are annoying and suffocating and Charles Tyrwhitt Lime Street is one of them. Piece of advice: Let your customers be comfortable in your store and give them a bit of space, let them breathe! Be a help at hand - not a nuisance.

I went into the regents street / piccadilly circus store and was greeted with nothing but hostility. A significant male employee chose to ignore my husband and I whilst having his eyes peeled on us the whole time. It made us feel extremely uncomfortable. When `i had asked one of the female employees the role of the man, she had told me he was the manager, which raises great concern. I would like to add that this female employee was VERY welcoming and friendly.

Everyone is super polite, but unfortunately I am having a poor experience. An online order was not delivered, and I am having incredible difficultly getting a refund. I don't know what's going on. I have purchased from the vendor at least a dozen times in the last decade. Something changed in 2015. My last two orders were very problematic. I don't believe I could ever be persuaded to purchase from them again.

I have been very satisfied with the shirts and ties I have ordered through their online service www.ctshirts.com Their selection is great and their customer service has been very helpful to me in the past in making purchasing decisions. I admit, I had no idea on how to select a poplin or if I needed something called "Sea Island" Cotton, but they definitely were patient and worked with me. It would be tough to find similar quality shirts that are custom sized for this price. Another exceptional feature of Charles Tyrwhitt is their return policy. 90 days UNCONDITIONAL. If you don't like it, it shrinks, your dog tore it up, it doesn't matter. They even give you the international return shipping label with your order. Seriously, top notch. I only wish it was convenient for me to shop there in person.

Just received my mail order on my first three CT shirts. Wow! The material, cut and style is on par with $100+ shirts I own. The brass collar stays is a great finishing touch. Moving forward I see myself only purchasing my dress shirts from CT. Look for deals. No need to pay full price. I was able to get all shirts for $29 each opposed to the $59 advertised. Do a little digging and you'll find links and coupon codes.

I ordered 5 shirts to try them out hoping the slim fit would work. They arrived in two separate packages and in a reasonable amount of time, but they were very tight in the chest, arms, and shoulders and loose in the waist. That's honestly not that big of a deal, although several other off-the-rack brands do fit me. What irritated me was the return process. I contacted customer service via the chat feature and, after asking about other options, it was apparent that nothing thy make will fit me. I told the rep I would return them, filled out the return lable and sent them back. A full month and half later I get an email informing me that the shirts had been returned as undeliverable and to please send them a different address or call. When I called and explained the situation the lady on the phone tried to sell me something else (I suppose my explanation that the shirts didn't fit wasn't sufficient). After repeating my address and name several times she finally relented and agreed that the shirts would be refunded within a few days. I'll hold my breath on when that will happen. Not impressed. Also, the "London" thing is complete B.S.

The accountants have taken over this business - they have restricted the range so nowadays there is very limited choice and everything is very much the same. Very difficult to find four shirts to take advantage of the permanent "deal". Poor availability too - very hard to find your size, and the salesmen push you to have your size delivered by post three to four weeks later. Ended up going to TM Lewin and buying 10 shirts there as they had my size in stock and a much better range of designs.

I ordered shirts for my husband in November 2015 but so far only received 2 shirts and it's January 2016! When I ordered it, I got an email stating my order will arrive Dec. 17-18, 2015 except for 1 shirt which will be in January. I waited until the end of Dec. I finally emailed them and they said they sent me an email informing me that my orders will be delayed due to a couple of shirts that were unavailable. I have never received any email stating so! Now, I'm getting charged so many times for different amounts that it was hard for me to keep track in my credit card. If I'd have known this is the kind of shopping experience I will get, I'd never have shopped here. Yes the items are good quality and with the sale, it is good price, but it's not worth it. First and foremost, it is the service and getting the product when it is intended to be. My husband's Christmas gift will now be his valentine's gift. Not acceptable! Beautifull store with great choices of shirts, suits, shoes etc. I came in for a pair of shoetrees and I had only seen their stuff on the website. I was truly impressed with the collection and the service!

Went to visit my brother who now lives in London & he took me to Charles Tyrwhitt on Jermyn Street & I have to say I LOVE my new shirts, the fit is perfect and with the sales they had these shirts were an incredible value. I'm hooked!

I had to leave this shop due to what I feel was abusive service I immediately telephoned customer services and was told that I would get a call back on this matter, I did not receive such a call back I then posted a letter to the Chairman......and then eventually copied this letter to the Chairman's email. The latter brought an innocuous response, not from the Chairman, not addressing my letter I wrote back saying so, ......of course there was no response Is this arrogance or does the Chairman not care. I was so surprised that no one called even to chat through my complaint......go to Lewin, I say...the staff are great and polite and they are next door this shop

I really like their shirts and ties, especially when they have a sale. I think January and October are the two big sale months. I am told that June is pretty big as well, but I can't remember. There are several nice men's shops on Jermyn Street, but I like Charles Tyrwhitt because they have affordable prices and you can have the shirts altered for a small fee and they ship for free in the UK. They told me it would take about 10 days. The in store catelog is great for matching shirts and ties, but the staff is also willing to help. What I like best is the shirts don't shrink around the neck, even after a year.

The block that Charles Tyrwhitt sits on is a haven for men who enjoy the fine art of wearing fine clothes. Charles Tyrwhitt offers the typical exquisite wears of a elegant dressed male. The prices are fair and the quality is exquisite.
