Ever fancied purchasing a shirt made from superfine Egyptian long staple cotton, 180 yarn twisted in Switzerland, fabric woven in Italy and tailored in the U.K. - which is exactly the way it should be? Lovely long tails (to cover your bum and preserve your modesty should your braces fail and your trousers fall down unexpectedly), double cuffs and collar stiffeners. Super sexy silky soft, feels great to wear and will cost you about £129...
Or maybe not £129! (see below)
Charles Tyrwhitt was founded in 1986 and is one of the premium shirt manufacturers in the U.K. Over recent years, they have extended their range to include ladies clothing, suits and shoes. Apart from their retail premises, they send out catalogues, regular E-mails, and have an online store. Their phone lines are manned 24/7 and their people are helpful and courteous. They will give you advice on how to measure yourself up etc.
They usually deliver within a few days and goods are returnable within 3 months, as long as they have not been washed. A return label is provided.
For an extra £5, you can even have your shirt monogrammed (QYPE?).
A truly excellent British company, whose products can be habit-forming.
This is how: Check out the clearance pages on their website http://www.ctshirts.co.uk/p/ukgo/r/Clearance/Clearance/productlisting.aspx?ppp=12&sortBy=Relevance&page=1&back=False&canned=&Clearance=topnav
I prefer checking from the catalogues. You will find that the first catalogue you get is probably RRP. Thereafter, they get round to '25% off' items later in the year, then onto 50% off and at clearance time it's 75% off!
Using this 'Scroogy' methodology I have secured superb items of gent's shirting at 'Hight Street' prices, thus 'leveraging increased ROI', as doubtless many of their customers would say. ;-)
Bye bye, Marks and Sparks.
