Charleston's Restaurant

Lunch on Sunday, Feb 22. Food was excellent. Restaurant was gorgeous and spotless. Restrooms extremely clean. Service (Carlos G) was excellent. I drink an unreasonably large number of Diet Coke refills, Carlos kept it full!

I went here today for a work off-site lunch. It was quite busy at the time and th restaurant had enough space to fit 8 of us in a booth. The food was quite delicious and the atmosphere was lively.

I can't really comment on the atmosphere as I've only ordered delivery from this place. But their food was good. My favorite was their baby back ribs, which I found to be one of the better ones compared to the ribs from other restaurants I've tried. I also enjoyed their vegetable medley as a side. Well cooked and nicely flavored with butter. Their prices were reasonable considering how everything has gone up in price lately. If Im ever back on Omaha, I'd definitely order from this place again.

Very impressed with this place! All the food we tried had great taste and quality. The place had a good atmosphere and was not too loud. Our server, Nick, was extremely kind and accommodating to us. The Mahi Mahi was fresh and not dry. I would recommend the carrot cake over the bread pudding. Would recommend this place for a family get together. 5 stars!

Food was fantastic. We had a large party and had called ahead. Our table was ready on time, and the wait staff did a wonderful job. They were able to split the check so we could each individually pay, where some places would not for a large party. There was a gratuity added on to the bill because of our large party, but they did a great job and completely earned it.

I really enjoyed my time here! My family hosted my Great Aunts birthday party in their "party" room, which was spacious and tucked away from the rest of the population in the restaurant. They allowed us to decorate (a few streamers snd balloons) for our event and didn't mind when we got a little loud from the laughter and clapping during out gathering. This type of hospitality speaks volumes to my family. The service was wonderful and all of our wait staff were very attentive and the food was great on top of everything.

We had eaten at the original Charleston's restaurant a few times, but only once at the 76th and Dodge location. Our dining companions were soft-spoken, so the buzz of conversation in the entirety of the dining room sometimes made dialog at our table a little challenging. No fault of the establishment on that one. It is what it is. Our drinks were great, as was our food and wait staff. We left happy and full.

Charleston is an amazing restaurant with a great, relaxing atmosphere. The staff was friendly, courteous & efficient. All the food exceeded our expectations! They really know what they’re doing and the price is more than fair for such great quality and good portions.

This restaurant has a very nice atmosphere. Our server, Curtis, was great -- he was timely with taking our order and refilling water glasses while also giving helpful information about the menu. Most importantly, the food was totally delicious. My wife had the Prime Rib Special which included a fully-loaded baked potato and Caesar salad. All were prepared perfectly! I had the Chicken Fried Chicken which came with smashed potatoes and sweet glazed carrots. Each of the flavors as well as the presentation were top notch! Both of us would definitely order those same items again. I highly recommend Charleston's -- it was a special night out.

It had been over a year since we had eaten in this place. We were in need of a good meal and a special night out. We ate there in August and it was a great evening. The ambiance was quiet and while busy the waitress was able to get to us quickly. The meal was cooked well and the taste was as good as hoped for. I had the pork chops and I wish i knew the technique they use. My wife had the chicken friend chicken. We both heartily recommend using this place for a special couple's night out.

Love Charlestons so much. Good taste fresh and delicious. I got the steak, mashed potatoes and creamed corn. My husband says the corn could have more cream but I thought it was good. It's also freshly cut from the cob and bought from Nebraska so you know it's good corn. Our waitress was also really great! The atmosphere in this new location was perfect. Obviously people are loud at restaurants but the space feels more spacious then their location they had before. It feel similar but new and fresh.

We had lunch here today as we waited for our power to come back on! Charleston's has been on point our past few times here, today was no different. Our waitress, Megan/Meghan was extremely personable and patient. She answered all of our questions and provided excellent service. Our food was fresh and delicious! The restaurant was quiet; however, a group of 3 ladies were seated directly behind outr table and theu were loud. I asked if we could move and they accommodated our request without it being an issue. We will be back...soon!

The food is always great here. I've never had a bad meal. Their house vinaigrette is to die for. And those flaky honey croissants... I always order extra! I tried a margarita for the first time here and it was honestly one of the best I've ever had. The addition of a green olive to the margarita it was a game changer.

Charleston's is a semi-fancy eatery, that is pretty upscale feeling, but can still be a place you can stop in for dinner (usually without a reservation). The interior is classy, with black and white art, and black booths with mahogany wood. It has a vaguely nautical theme, with a little penguin statue in the corner and a model of the RMS Titanic, etc. The service has always been excellent - our server last time we went was Alexis, and she was great with refills, recommendations, and checking on us just enough throughout the meal. We started with the Caesar Salad and it's gigantic (my husband and I shared it). It was perfectly dressed with the Caesar dressing and parmesan cheese to create amazing combinations with each bite. We also had their dinner rolls, which are semi-sweet. Not the level of sweetness as the Texas Roadhouse rolls, but a touch under that. They were served warm with really creamy butter. I almost always get the Fish and Chips, which are extra flaky, and they pair amazingly with the tartar sauce. Another thing I love to get once in a while is the Chicken Piccata - so tasty and tangy. My favorite side to get is the creamed corn. It's not super creamy like other creamed corns I've had but it has a nice little cream at the bottom, so you just need to mix up to get it all creamed together. Always check out their daly specials too. We had the steak tips special last time we went, that came in a wine reduction that was so rich and delicious. With the upscale ambiance, amazing service, and enjoyable food, Charleston's is great place for a date night, business lunch, or just a good dinner option any time.

I've been to Charleston's out west dozens of times, but this was my first time at their dodge location. Overall, my friend and I had a great experience, coming at 7:30 on a weeknight. It was pretty slow. Our server was good, mentioned a couple times that he was bored and that's why he was checking on us. Not in a bad way, he was just having fun, and provided great service! I got the salad that I get every single time, and it tasted amazing! I do feel it was a bit smaller than the ones I have had out west. Unfortunately, there were no dates on my salad, so this must have been forgotten in the kitchen. All in all, I would go to the West location over this one again. The staff was very friendly, and overall it was a good experience, but I have always gotten a very consistent result in the size and taste of the salad I get every time out West.

Always great meal & customer service. Only complaint, I liked their old location & building better, don't let that determine how fantastic their happy hour is!

Everything was just okay. Service was a bit on the slower side even though it was not busy. They were very nice and pleasant. Flatbread was delicious. I would've gotten a whole flatbread just for myself if I knew it was going to be that good. Drinks didn't receive great comments at the table. A member of the party came here yesterday and raved about the cocktails and food but found out it was a different bartender today so the drinks were different. Overall: rave reviews about the queso, flatbread, and pork chop

I will never go here again. I sent my steal back twice because it was rare and not medium. The third time it came out well done. Hey Charleston's don't sell steak if you can't cook one. I left hungry because after my steak came out well done, I told them to take it off my bill. Save yourself a disappointing visit to this place.

Another good meal here today. First time I tried the chicken tenders and I was very pleased. A great serving of chicken and broccoli, but to be honest I love the coleslaw here and I felt like my coleslaw could've been topped off with a little more. Service was great also so no worries. I'll be back at some point.

Always a nice lunch spot! Dedicated, complementary parking makes for easy access to this lunch/dinner restaurant. Super friendly staff provides great service. Nice menu with specials make it hard to decide! Reasonably priced and a great place to get together with friends or large group. They take reservations, but it is just as easy to walk in anytime. Great food, freshly prepared, and wonderfully presented. Good value and plenty left to take home for another meal! Check out Charleston's.

Enjoyed a lovely Friday night at Charleston's. The dining room was dark and relatively quiet, a respite from a loud day teaching 5th graders. Our server was at our table in moments , took our drink order ( a deep pour of Merlot and a lively basil spritzer)and tempted me into the clam chowder as a starter. I am originally from New England and this chowder met all my expectations. A dash of hot sauce was all that was lacking. Steak specials were offered, fillet tips in a mushroom burgundy sauce for him, prime rib for me and they accommodated my request to de-salt my jacket potato... it was perfect, cooked in salt but not served dusted. Both dishes were excellent and horseradish was available upon request. A great date night, give them a visit

Decent dinner at Charleston's, but we weren't wowed. The service, while not at fault in any way, seemed a bit robotic. But again, nothing to complain about, just a vibe. Cocktails were excellent. Dynamite shrimp appetizer was very good. Prefer Bang Bang at Bonefish but enjoyed this too. My better half had shrimp scampi. It was top notch. My chicken piccata was OK. Prefer chicken piccata at Jimi D's. Angel hair pasta bed was dry. I had been on the fence with this or the filet tips special, in retrospect wish I had chosen that instead. Brussels sprouts side was not good -- barely cooked and tough. I'm all for certain vegetables being al dente, but I can't eat brussels sprouts that are virtually raw. Cheesy bread that accompanied Trish's dish was also not good. A simple baguette would have been so much better. It was on the cusp of 4 stars vs. 3, but we both agreed there are other places we like more. Barring a special, we are not going back.

Atmosphere was pleasant, hostess was prompt, service was great but the food just isn't very good. Three out of four of us didn't like our meals. Fish tacos were sweet and drippy with bland flavors, the chicken strips were not crispy, the chicken club was described as too wet and flavorless. Too bad, because price was good, service fantastic, food just sucks.

I hope this review is of use, despite the fact I have -0- pictures and there isn't much diversity in our order this evening. We have been going to Charlestons for more than 10 years and always have enjoyed it, but my husband's favorite meal there is the trout. Over the last couple of years, every time I called ahead or checked their menu on Facebook -- no trout. So it had been a while. Sure, they have other good food, but when you really want your favorite ... So, on a whim, I checked this week's specials and THEY'VE GOT TROUT! We're off! It was a little confusing at first because we'd usually eaten at the location on the north side of Dodge opposite Boys Town, but when we drove up -- the building was vacant -- they'd moved to a new location over by the new development west of Boys Town on 144th in January. This new location is fresh, big ... and noisy. Hostesses and our server were friendly and helpful, but we didn't even need menus, we were on a mission! Starting with a Maple Smoked Manhattan and a (healthy) glass of Sauv Blanc, we put in our dual order for trout. Salad came first -- chilled bowls, decent size, accompanied by a warm croissant. The balsamic vinaigrette was great, but maybe a little much. I'd get the dressing on the side next time. Otherwise, delicious! When the grilled trout arrived, I was a little surprised (pleasantly) by the size. It was a little larger than the palm of my hand -- at least five ounces. It was perfectly grilled, sitting on a bed of rice, topped with a green apple and mango salsa, which really was a nice touch. The vegetable side was butter cooked broccoli. The vegetable was cooked just right, not mushy. I didn't eat any of the rice and only half of the broccoli as I was getting pretty full. The trout was just as we remembered. We got key lime pie to go -- this is another favorite. The slice is huge, always enough to share. It has a great sour touch and the Graham cracker crust is to die for! So, check their Facebook page for weekly specials, as I said, I've had other good dishes there, but when you see the trout -- head there immediately!

Dinner on a Friday night, and the place was rather busy, but we were seated right away, and the service was pretty good. I have been a few times and I really like the date-night vibe that the place gives...romantic lighting and all of the things. The food was really good, this time we had the enchilada plate, caesar salad and baked potato soup which was the soup de Jour. THE FOOD WAS GOOD! ...that all, thanks for coming to my YelpTalk.

Loved it here! Service was great and the smoked salmon entree was delicious and cooked perfectly. Not dry and just right! Came for a work dinner and we all were extremely happy with our meals. I was able to swap the vegetable side for a baked potato and it was well dressed with sour cream and a bit of shredded cheese. The salad it came with was very good with cooked egg on top which was a great and unexpected enhancement. The homemade blue cheese dressing was excellent! I will be back when back in the area and highly recommend!

The whole family (10) going to see "A Christmas Carol" at the Community Playhouse and then dinner at Charleston's is a multi-generation family tradition. Love the service and food.

Took my kids out to celebrate a birthday; everything was so good! I had the fish & chips, couple had the rueben and one had a steak... no complaints, everyone enjoyed their meal.

Always excellent....food, service and atmosphere. I have plenty of luncheons on Mondays, and knowing lthat Charleston's is open really makes it convenient.

When they moved across the street... Meh! But when they changed the recipe for our long-time favorite tortilla soup, they have finally and fully JUMPED THE SHARK! Buh-bye.

The service was great. The ambiance is upscale and very pleasant. The food is excellent. The presentation of food is nice but still has good portions. We always return here.

WAO! Coming here I was not sure what to expect but there are zero complains about this place. The service is great and you will get all your food in no time. It seems like there is nothing you can go wrong with on the menu, everything we order was delicious and everything we saw around was as well. The worse think that we have and it was still good but we would not come back for, was the fries and that is a lot to say! At a first look, prices might be high but this is because of the big portions, so don't let them scared you away from this amazing place.

This place was pretty good. It was nice and clean. Pretty good vibe. I had the chicken fried chicken. It was good. The star of the plate was the mash potatoes and broccoli. They were cooked perfectly and well seasoned. I was told that I should get the warm croissant... I'd give it a 3/4. Oh the reason for the 3 starts was become I asked the server for some strawberry lemonade. And he said pink lemonade, I replied "no strawberry lemonade " and he replied that is what pink lemonade was. We went back and forth and he assured me that their pink lemonade = strawberry lemonade. I should have went with my gut, just as I suspected, it wasn't strawberry lemonade. So dear managers, please educate your staff the difference between pink lemonade and strawberry lemonade. Thank you.

Wonderful Mother's Day brunch with family. Great food, service and atmosphere. We love the convenient location with plenty of parking.

This is one of my favorite places for birthdays and special events. Low lightening for an elegant feel. Service is always very fast and waiters friendly. Kale quinoa salad is a must try!! As well as the dynamite shrimp!

Food was terrible..Fries tasted old and stal and not even hot. French dip was icky funny taste i sent it back.They did bring me something else..The burger was good. My daughter ordered the cod real greasy and her fries were not good either. They DID have good food ..Don't know what happened... We won't be back. ‍

After long day at work, the cozy atmosphere gave us the peace so needed before heading to our hotel for the good night rest. Thank You all for having us here & always providing an excellent service & delicious meals. The Waltz Champagne Chicken Salad is our favorite! ~ Ash & Justy

Lunch at Charleston's Restaurant A colleague and I had an hour to grab a quick lunch today and selected Charleston's (75th & Dodge location). Prompt service by Meghan without at all making us feel rushed leads to a huge THANK YOU! Salads were the course of the day: DYNAMITE SHRIMP SALAD: crispy shrimp tossed in a sweet and spicy cream sauce, mixed greens, carrot, cabbage, bean sprouts, green onion, sugar snap peas, cilantro, sesame ginger vinaigrette, peanut sauce, and toasted sesame seeds. As good as described by our knowledgeable waitress. The shrimp are spicy but the dish is not unbearably hot. The other: KALE & QUINOA SALAD baby kale, quinoa, cabbage, grilled chicken, mint, green onion, cilantro, mango, green apple, dates, spiced pecans, honey-lime vinaigrette, and peanut sauce. My guest took a to-go box so it must have been good! The Honig Sauvignon Blanc paired perfectly with the salads! Reasonably priced!

Food and service is always top notch! I have been taking out of town guests here for over 20 years!! My favorite restaurant. Also, the best pork chop and potato soup anywhere!!

I cannot rave enough about the Dynamite shrimp salad!! It's my go to meal from them and I've never been disappointed! The environment is very calm and classy great for a fancier dinner. My boyfriend got the beef tips special and really loved the flavor and meat quality too!! They did accidentally bring us the wrong desert but then we just got an extra free desert so we weren't mad about it

Charlestons food and service is always phenomenal. Every time we have gone to both locations we always leave satisfied! It's the perfect place for a casual lunch or a family holiday dinner

This place is really nice and the people that work there are really nice and the food is really good I recommend the fish and chips because they are cooked to perfection they have small lanterns on the tables to make the ambience look real nice and we got our food pretty fast we got our food in about 9 minutes after we ordered it this is a really nice place but they are a little bit expensive but it is worth it and if you are a veteran they have military discounts

Friendly service and relatively kid friendly. We took our almost 5 year old son and 2 year old daughter. They had a kids meal list with lots of options on it and everything was $7. My kids got the Mac and cheese and the fruit, cheese and yogurt plate. It wasn't Kraft which was nice and my son loves penne noodles so it went over great and it was a large enough portion he ate his fill and my daughter had some and we still took some leftovers home. I had the dynamite shrimp which was good not too spicy so if you hoping for a good kick it's not really for you. FYI the salads are HUGE! My husband is a pretty big guy and the salad (I think it was the chicken salad) was so large he couldn't eat his ribs. Which I think is good since it's $18/salad. All in all enjoyed our meal. Let my kids watch a movie on my phone while we waited for the food since they did not have a menu for drawing and crayons.

Got the Red Velvet cake to go. I see why they only have it on Valentines Day. It's to DRY!!!! Who wants to eat dry cake!

The food was great! The service was great! The employees were all very friendly. The Restraunt was kind of dark put it was hot out so the had all the window shades down. It was very clean and very well organized. We will definitely be back. Yummy!

Boys Town location: It isn't the same ambiance. The fun happy hour clientele at the prior location seems to be absent and more of an overflow from the restaurant now. But still great staff and food.

Went here after a horrible experience at Timber Wood. Th service was attentive and friendly. The food was good as always! I don't think I've ever had a bad thing on there menu. I'd recommend their 20 year old port, it was fantastic! This time I also ordered the shrimp scampi and added capers. My husband had a delicious ribeye cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is perfect too!

Exceptional service and food. Our waitress and hostess were outstanding, and we couldn't have been to a better place on New Years Eve! Thank you Charleston's!!!!

I was in town for business and found Charleston's by chance. I was very happy I had. I went back the second night of my stay because my first night was so good. I had the roasted chicken the first night and that was very good. The second night I had their ribs and they were outstanding. I am a dressing snob and my salad with Ranch and Blue cheese was just excellent, Great flavor. The show stopper for me was the croissant. Light, fluffy and drizzled with a honey glaze.....excellent!!!! The cherry on top were the two young ladies that were my bartenders over the two nights. They were polite, attentive and generally just genuinely pleasant!! I wish I had remembered their names so I could given them a shout out, great job ladies!! This will be a go to place for when I am traveling to Omaha!

Food was great! Our waitress was so nice. It was a late Mother's Day dinner and my 86 year-old mom loved it! She has already said that Charleston's is her new favorite. If for no other reason, that experience was a huge win. Thank you so much, Charleston's!

My family & I are regulars. The food is not only excellent but always consistent. A difficult challenge for many dining establishments. The service is equally as impressive. Charleston's NEVER disappoints.

Food was good ! Average. Fish Sticks very greasy . Second time I had them there , Same problem. Need a different fry grease or drain better. Cup soup $8 ,Carrot Cake $11 Both way to pricey for what you get. The service was wonderful!! Came to table just enough, asked all the right questions, . Team work remarkable! From the hostesses, waiters , waitresses, and even managers took a dish away . This is the place to eat if you don't like waiting! Everything was Quick. Atmosphere pleasant. I'd go again!

This place is great. Took my mother here for mother's day of course is was busy but they did an excellent job of getting everyone in and out without feeling rushed. Employees wore their mask, so that was great. Waiter was very nice ( can't remember his name unfortunately). The food was amazing. Service was amazing. Will definitely make plans on going back.

Food and service was great. The only ich is the plates not being properly clean and hygiene is important very... Overall great service. Great food.

we had a surprise party for my daughter's birthday. The private dining area was wonderful and the staff amazing. The food is reasonably priced and the portions huge on most items. I chose the dynamite shrimp salad and it was wonderful.

Food selection was good and well prepared, enjoyed the meal. Service was excellent server very friendly and checked back if needed anything. Ambiance was great but the noise level was loud. We were there at noon, we will be back in the evening and check the noise levels then.

Spent the entire day moving. Ordered a French dip and a piece of pie cost OVER $40 (including a generous tip) Picked up my order and drug my tired ass home. No Au Jus, no horseradish sauce, no silverware. Ate a dry roast beef sandwich, ate the key line pie with my pocketknife. Wont be back
