Charlies Tacos

Disappointed with this location. Charlie’s is amazing but not when your order keeps getting messed up. Other Charlie’s locations don’t have this problem. This location is always messing up the ordered. They add on items that aren’t on the food menu. Like cheese and sour cream on the tostadas. And on more than one occasion, my consome has not arrived 🙄

These guys are the Greatest Of All Time! I walk up in the middle of the night drunk and hungry. I order a meal and offer my card to pay for it. They don’t take card, there’s a sign right there I just can’t read. The kind cashier said it’s ok and sold me my tacos for all the cash in my wallet even though it didn’t quite cover the sales tax. Thank you Charlie’s Tacos they were so delicious and you were all so kind to me! This review will never be able to repay the kindness you showed to me, God Bless!

I got nachos through doordash and they were completely burnt the tortilla chips were completely burnt and the chips were stuck together and there was barely cheese. Just inedible.

I had order the Quesa Taco’s from this place, when I read the description it had said it came with three Quesa Taco’s for 6.00$ so that’s what I was expecting. Me and my sister order two orders of these. When we received this order it only came with two Quesa Taco's literally only two in total not six not three BUT 2. We were expecting 6 in total because that's what the description said, and no we didn't read the description wrong because we also seen the reviews and it showed that other people were received 3 tacos. We tried to call the place multiple times but not once did they answer, it went straight to voicemail, it didn't even ring 3 times just straight to voicemails. I'm so disappointed and feel so disrespected, I genuinely feel like a fool for spending my hard working money only to receive 2 taco's. I'm humiliated, if it only came with two they should've said that in the description or they should've had marketed right. If I could give ZERO stars best believe I would.

Very delicious but extremely overpriced. I guess that's good business for them considering there are a lot of rich white residents in York and Eagle Rock now who are willing to pay, but the Hispanic residents suffer as a result. Some qualms I have is when you order through UberEATS and pay for guacamole as an add on they never add it. Another problem with ordering online is when you order their nachos when they arrive they are soggy as heck and just inedible. I know this is not their fault but I really recommend putting the chips on the side or else they're going to come out really soggy because the time it takes for the delivery driver to pick up and deliver it. Until this problem is solved, I highly recommend no one buying their nachos online unless you want the soggiest chips ever. Other than these facts, their food is very delicious and consistent.

I’m new to LA, so I’ve been trying lots of taco spots haha. This one was meh. Presentation wise, best taco truck and presentation yet. Their prices seem a tad on the high side. So I went with the 5 taco for $10 special. I got 2 chicken and 3 birria tacos. They were all just okay. I thought the birria ones were gonna be amazing. Meh. I’m new to these types of tacos (I’m from the east coast) so take my review with q grain of salt. The few times I’d had birria tacos here, they come crispy with a cup of consume to dip. These came on regular soft corn tortillas (which I love) and no consume. They charge for it here. I’ve never had any other taco spot charge for consume with birria tacos. 🤷🏻‍♂️ lucky me maybe ? Chicken and birria were both juicy and not dry. Just didn’t have much flavor. The chicken was semi bland. The birria was seasoned, but tasted like just that, seasoned shredded beef. Presentation was great. Looks clean. Made me feel like the food is (safe)? I love they have specials for kids in high school. Add 1 star for that. Food. Meh. Wasn’t impressed. Not bad though, just with a different taco spot ever 7 steps, this didn’t stand out. They’re open till 2 am I believe, so if nothing else is open, I could come back. If not, I’d go elsewhere.

ummm $18 for 3 sopes is kinda crazy im not coming back 😭
