Charlotte

In February 2023 we visited Ceuta and whilst there we spent an hour at Charlotte Cafe. We sat outside on the sunny terrace which was immaculate and busy.  There was a relaxed atmosphere at the cafe located in Plaza de los Reyes, the main square of Ceuta. At the plaza there was a great atmosphere and there was lots to see including the Triumphal arch, the House of Dragons and the church of San Francisco. Initially when we arrived we ordered two coffees. We browsed the menu and we ordered two 2 large beers and tomato and tuna tostadas. Our order arrived quickly by a very friendly waitress who worked hard throughout our visit. The food was nicely presented, tasted great and was excellent value for money.

Good food and drinks, poor service. The waiter had to serve all 20 tables on the terrace, which is obviously too many. Long waiting times and if you have to go the the (filthy) bathroom, you have to wait until someone comes out as only staff can open the door and they ignore you constantly for the reason mentioned above. Would not go again

It's one of the typic go-to cafés in Ceuta. I don't like it that they don't have real fruit but rather syrups to make their crêpes like apple crêpe and so. But they have a mean hot chocolate.

It turned out that the prices in the menu aren't accurate ! We paid a higher price than the actual price in the menu. I will never go back to this dirty place.
